July 15, 2025Jul 15 Does anyone have worse performance in heavy areas using the latest NVidia driver 576.88? What would you recommend the best driver for MSFS 2020? Cheers
July 15, 2025Jul 15 Whenever I tryout new drivers I always remove my 'rolling cache' (it will reset itself). Dave Swigert WIN 11 i9-14900KF 64 GB ram Viewsonic 32" 60Hz 2K monitor NVIDIA MSI RTX 4080S Asrock Z790
July 15, 2025Jul 15 No need to use the latest driver to make MSFS2020 function or look better. To me, 566.36 is the best one (for my pretty old card). July 15, 2025Jul 15 I agree, Ed. Any driver after after 566.36 is not so good for my 4090. I perceive more stutters with the later drivers. July 15, 2025Jul 15 Whatever the latest driver for MSFS2024 is. I think the one that was released for SU2? Have no issues at all.
July 15, 2025Jul 15 Still using 576.80 drivers with my 58003DX and RTX5080 at 1440 using Nvidia Preset K, DLSS performance, MSFS Dynamic settings at 50 FPS and native 2X framegen as things stand with super somooth performance and virtually no stuttering at all. 60 FPS nearly all the time. I've seen nothing from later drivers so far or user comments that have convinced me to update as things stand. I have most of my settings on high with a copule on performance, but if I increase these by much, I seem to introduce a lot of annoying sound popping at large busy airports or areas with a lot of addon photogrammetry.
