August 7, 2025Aug 7 Author Thanks guys... turning on the hardware throttle indicator makes this a non-issue... very easy to get the thrust levers matched before you disengage A/T. Appreciate the help, and realize I could probably have found this in the documentation somewhere, but I've been studying outside the sim for a week... and at some point I need to actually get in the plane and start using it 🙂 Edited August 7, 2025Aug 7 by Virtual-Chris

August 7, 2025Aug 7 I only disengage the autothrottle and autopilot when I am stabilised on final approach. This means that the correct thrust is already set, so I can use the thrust lever position indicator to closely match the required power when I disengage the autothrottle. I both wrote manuals and taught pilots in my career and realize that the eclectic iFly EFB is a learning challenge to all who've acclimated to the intuitive UI of other tablets in the cockpit. 🤪 We are predominately visual learners, and a quick screenshot with corresponding arrows and annotations are worth their virtual weight in gold. I try to do it whenever possible, as the minute or so usually spent responding with a text-only explanation frequently leads to more clarification needed in the long run, whereas a screenshot with annotation usually gets the "Ahh ha" moment and a quick resolution. 🙂 Regards, Steve DraGet my paints for MSFS planes at flightsim.to here, and iFly 737s hereDownload my FSX, P3D paints at Avsim by clicking here
