I can hardly find anything out there for XP12 in the Pacific Northwest (Washington and Oregon state).  I recently bought this really nice Canadian general aviation airport, CZBB Boundary Bay.  It's near Vancouver.  But I want to do a flight from somewhere in Washington State (preferably Seattle area so it's not a super long flight).

I don't see much for freeware or payware.  Anyone have any recommendations?

or that Orbx would run re-fresh

I would recommend taking a look at the X-plane scenery gateway. You can find some very good updated airports there that haven't yet been incorporated into the base sim yet.

For example, this recent update to an airfield on Vacouver Island looks really nice

My recommendation: The default X-Plane airports.

And be wary of installing Scenery Gateway airports. It is way too easy to do so and then forget that you did. Which will exclude you from all future updates for those airports you downloaded.

You could always update one yourself, only takes a minute 😁

I was using the XPlane 11 OrbX sceneries in my XPlane 12 until very recently. The TrueEarth coverage works well, I think the Darrington Muni airfield was also displayed properly if I remember correctly.

Sure it's no native XP12 scenery, so the trees might not match your expectations, but the flights in the area were quite enjoyable anyways.

Agreed. I left it out b/c Ryan specified xp12. 
 

but I recently vflew out of KAWO from AFL over TE WA and everything looked and worked just fine. Waaaaay better than the XP12 options!

Well, you have a point with the "XP12 only" scope.

But the reason I mentioned the XP11 OrbX sceneries is that most of them will work fine in XP12 and probably won't ever be converted to native XP12. Then I consider these XP11 addons to be somehow "in scope" for XP12. Especially when talking about the PNW region.

Are you also using XP12 ORBX products aside the XP11 ones? I've read, can't remember where, that XP11 and XP12 ORBX libraries were troublemakers when both were installed at the same time, leading to perfs issues etc ... but i don't know if that's true or the guy sim was just a mess and unrelated to ORBX.

Asking because i'd like to pick up some US TE.

Well, I do not have any XP12 Orbx product installed currently, but both XP11 and XP12 OrbX libraries are installed...

And the thing is, they always have been installed, so I have no idea if they are causing any performance issue or not, sorry 😕

I’m using Orbx 11 and 12 sceneries with xp12. 
 

BUT, since I still have xp 11 installed, I’ve symlinked them into v12 custom scenery so that xp12 can use them, too  

id have to check if I also symlinked the v11  lib or not. Both are installed wherever the Orbx installer puts them. 

There is actually heaps of stuff for XPlane most are XP11 some XP12 you have to dig about. Some gets chucked into Alaska some into the US grouping:

Me I leave default stuff apart from Global Forests and Sim Heaven have the above all installed, no issues in XP12. Not sure why are yes thats right more interested in the Aleutians and Bush Strips there. There is a big Kodiak area package about as well with tons of bus strips. 

Advanced international grand airports in the Pacific Northwest - nuh not really.
