Texture POP in/ changing in final approach

What the heck are you talking about now?  We aren't talking about FPS are we, we are talking about the pop-in.  Or are you just trying to start another argument for arguments sake?

No Rob, you said MSFS should perform 'better than this' and I asked you, better than what?  Are you back to stating no matter how weak the hardware pop-ins should never occur?

@IndustrialEngineer.  Mate, I have to tell you, at zoom levels like that, you will always get pop-in like that in my experience.

I would get them as well, and I am on a 4080 and 14900k.

Yes but this happens without the zoom too, I have just zoomed to make them clearer to see in video. These are not because of the zoom, im usually zoomed out much and have kind of big FOV compared to what people use.  These pop ins happen no matter what😪 What you guys think?

No, because that would be stupid and illogical wouldn't it.   Plus, what do you mean by 'back to stating'.  I have never stated that.

You seem to misinterpret my statements a lot Noel.

Whats the next step, Im totally out of ideas, been for awhile😅 The windows formating hasnt been done yet, but Im scared it can only break thins as I seem to have fine performance and clean reinstall of game and drivers didnt help either.

Can you elaborate on that?  Are you referring to in-sim zoom setting for external view?  My interest is to understand why some don't have pop ins and some do and wonder if where zoom is set is part of the reason why I'm not plagued by pop ins.

You're right--since you pretty much always in these threads align w/ IanRS who certainly suggests despite his potent hardware still has issues w/ pop ins.

Yes I do agree with him a lot.  I believe it is because we share a similar experience of the sim.  That seems fine by me.  No law or forum rule against it is there?

So what use is this now anyway?  Are you holding some kind of grudge for me agreeing with him on certain issues?  Are you judging me by viewing what posts I like and the ones I don't?   I find that kind of unnerving.

You are a logical guy.  It seems to me if you zoom in beyond the radius of the LOD setting, you will see pop-in.  It has nothing to do with PC capability.

This is separate from the OP's primary issue of the pop-in at normal levels, which we are all waiting to see if the best minds here can solve for him, or if not, it must be due to limited hardware capability.

What I could try next🤔

Here I list some of what I have tried now:

-ALL Ingame settings, none helped

-Clean Reinstall of game and drivers

-Executed all kinds of cache cleaners: dns, dx, everything what flightsim.to cache cleaners clean too.

-Tried manual and rolling caches and different data speed settings, no effect.

Huh?  You just did a reinstall of game and drivers.

Makes sense. Are you referring to the external zoom you saw in his videos?  That is what I asked for clarification on, is all.

Mate, I feel sorry for you.  You are chasing your tail.  You are running out of things to try, if not already.

Do you know anyone local to you with a PC with flight sim on it?  Maybe you could go around and compare.

It is more or less narrowed down to something to do with your PC configuration, or simply down to hardware.  Seems like ideas are running out.

With me it happens with both, but seems worse in external zoom.  It is expected that this will happen.  The sim and the hardware can only do so much.

Hm. Was this su16 for 2020 or 2024 beta su3?

I am helping someone similar on reddit with these exact same issues and nothing has helped. Even tlod of 10.

There is something else funky going on. Some popins might be ok but it sounds like this has been a disaster for you.

Dont install any apps, fps caps, gsx, lossless scaling (as Noel stated earlier).

Does it still do this with a default 172 etc? Honestly, looking back at your cpu and gpu combo....

Time for a full upgrade

Yep, hard to squeeze much bright red blood out of a turnip, or potato as it were.  I like Bert's advice:  consider an incremental upgrade, if able financially and also for compatibility with your motherboard etc to a better GPU.  But very hard to say now if that will get you past pop-ins.  Choice B:  focus on flying perfectly to where a bit of pop in won't destroy your experience.  I use Self Loading Cargo which keeps me focused on good piloting and crew management for score--each flight is scored.   You did say you thought at one point you had less of this annoyance and perhaps that was why.  I'm also in agreement w/ Bert that what I saw in your videos was pretty decent.

And of course if you haven't already, try the XP12 demo, it's free.  Perhaps that will be a better fit for what matters to you.
