Do you have PG on? My PC is a relatively similar specification to yours, and I do not see that kind of pop in, but I do not have PG enabled. If you do have PG on, have you considered switching it off?

I have Photogrammetry OFF too!

Tlod 100 and Olod is 10 now, it doesnt seem to have any effect if its 200 or 10

Is it me, or will OLOD set at 10 give you massive pop-in due to the immensely short radius it is set at?

I thought default for both LODs is 200.

Some might turn Terrain LOD down a bit if they struggle, even to 100, but everything I have seen says Object LOD has nowhere near the performance hit of Terrain LOD, so a setting of 10 on Object LOD seems just ludicrous, and I am not surprised the user is seeing object pop in.

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

The OLOD doesnt have any effect in this pop ups, I have tried 200 and 10 and it doesnt do anything. The video under has OLOD 200 and it doesn't have any effect in anything, not even fps.

Less popping than in your earlier video..

Heres now still a lot of popping even with rivatuner, I should have flight on same altitude and zoom in every video, and therefore I think the differing testing environment caused it to seem so?

Try setting OLOD to 1000. You may see performance hit (you could try it with AutoFPS), but it will at least let you know if OLOD is playing a role.

Thanks, I'll try that in userconfig! Or autofps, I can install it back.

OMG.  This is becoming such a mess.  I would be tempted to go back to a default installation and let MSFS regenerate you a new usercfg.  No need for all of those other programs such as RivaTuner etc.  You can go down a rabbit hole.

A quick way would be to just move your usercfg to another folder (don't delete it).  And it will regenerate a new default one at startup.

Also, you need to be absolutely sure you are editing the correct usercfg.
I just found 6 on my system (some from MSFS2020).  One way to be sure is to check the one with the latest time and date after shutting down MSFS.
You saying nothing is changing when going from 10 to 200 makes me think something is wrong there, as it definitely should.

Autofps recognises atleast that I have right values in the game. OLOD 900 doesn't seem to have any effect, not in fps or anything. I did clean reinstall today, and I have also few days before made new config, so idk :S I try to delete the cfg now and let it make new! But I seem to have few usercfg:s also, but i think its normal? 😄 because My settings change when I change them in game, only the Olod doesnt seem to have any effect in anything.

Today When I started the game with fresh, clean reinstall and fresh clean drivers, It had the the pop in problem still.

With 900 OLOD doesn't seem to have any effect on fps or anything else 😄

First test would be to set it to something unique in the sim on the slider, say to 170.  Then quit the sim.  If you open the usercfg afterwards and it says 170 in there then you are definitely editing the right file at least.

After that, all I can say is that out of your poor desperation, I think you have that much going on, it has become hazy as to what is causing your issues.

With no add-on programs whatsoever, MSFS should perform better than this, even on an older system such as yours.

Thanks, yes it seemed to change. Now I still deleted all configs and let it make a new one, didn't change much.

Today when I started with clean reinstall, I had uninstalled everything, I had only the game. So I dont think it has to do with any of the apps like autofps, lossles scaling, or rivatuner, as I just downloaded them back. What you think? :S

Also clean reinstalled drivers etc!

And with my 200% faster GPU and 100% faster CPU I run TLOD at 100 on the ground fairly regularly in any kind of complex scenarios.

Better than what?  Based on what?  Did you see his video where he was able to sustain nearly 50FPS on that weak hardware, native, without FG?

What the heck are you talking about now?  We aren't talking about FPS are we, we are talking about the pop-in.  Or are you just trying to start another argument for arguments sake?

@IndustrialEngineer.  Mate, I have to tell you, at zoom levels like that, you will always get pop-in like that in my experience.

I would get them as well, and I am on a 4080 and 14900k.
