Aircraft wont steer after GSX pushback

Featured Replies

PMDG 777.... seems to happen every time now. complete pushback process. but then its almost as if the tug is still connected and it wont let me steer.  Try to reset GSX but it wont let me. End up having to quit and restart.

This happen to anyone else? I have the latest versions of GSX and PMDG installed.

You can always restart Coatl in the system tray. There is no way it "won't let you".

And no, what you describe doesn't happen to me.

Nobody reported this, but I checked it now to be sure, and no issues I can see, airplane steers and moves normally after the GSX tug goes away. You didn't say which version you tried, so I used the 300ER. You didn't say which sim you used, so I tried it in MSFS 2020.

2020, 772ER.

Is it the PMDG 777 that has the option regarding the steering bypass pin that disables the nosewheel steering during pushback?
I have so many types now that it's getting hard to keep track. I think it is a selectable option?

EDIT: Disregard as it doesn't look like the bypass pin is an issue on the PMDG 777.

Definitely has been an issue in the 737 in the past however.

this is a known problem with GSX. Special with parking Brakes. I saw this in MSFS2020, PMDG737, and also in MSFS2020 Prosim737, and also in MSFS2024 with Prosim.
Also i posted this in GSX Forum, but the only what we get from virtuali ist "its not GSX"... thats bad. no other help for this issue.
We have deinstalled GSX and never get such an problem like this. So i must say, GSX was great in P3D, we have used it on every flight; but in MSFS for us it is 😞

I've had the same thing happen with the B77F & B737-700 and I'm using MSFS2020. I ended up having to restart my flight again and all was fine after this.

Tried a non PMDG aircraft and no problems with first flight. So not sure what the issue is?
