Ah good. I am pivoting now to buying more things on the Marketplace. It makes life easier - don't want to have so many accounts, so many updaters etc. I'll wait till it shows up and then will pick it up.

  • Interesting, but I'd still rather have live weather.  Msfs is generally alright-ish.  I would prefer to see actual cloud bases that you can't see through or actual low visibility when the metar warran

  • I honestly don't understand the concept. Isn't the live weather for a time and place "typical" enough to represent the typical weather for said place and time?

  • One ahead of you; I haven’t even got Active Sky precisely because it can only paint the whole world with one weather. Default Live weather doesn’t look the best, but at least I can see weather in the

Ah ok so there is a 'Random' weather feature, I still don't understand the need for a 'typical' summers day weather scenario over Live Weather if it happens to be raining....that's the beauty of Live Weather, it's real at that time so that's what it is.

Say it's winter right now but you want to do a summer flight (or vice versa). That's one of the use cases for Typical Weather.

Yep I understand the use cases, hence that part of the app is not for me.

Haha I didn't read this and clicked through to the "Quick Review".. which is a 4 hour long live stream 😄

Thank you for pasting the time stamp!

For those on the fence, this is a good review. I will buy it once it's on the MP. It looks great and I like the interface and how it works.

Bought it a few hours ago - and really like it.

Depending on the date and time, TW actually presents plausible weather scenarios WITHOUT remaining stuck in 'static' weather.

The transitions are very smooth, and the random generator is a great feature.

Of course I could manually set some preset in the flight simulator if I don't like the conditions MSFS 24 presenting me as 'live weather' (which are looking at best 'similar' to the actual real weather surrounding me most of the time)...

But TW does it much faster, more conveniently and - built-in - more variably.

Definitely worth the four and a half cups of coffee (COC, the new in-sim currency, 1 COC=4,647655 CHF at the time I'm writing this) for me.

Nice little program.. Only thing is, I noticed it cannot really be "used" when flying with BATC or any ATC because the program does not push the METAR data to those apps or MSFS ATC. Unless I'm missing something? Love it otherwise!
