How do I even GET 2024?

Featured Replies

I tried just now to get 2024. I'm enclosing some screenshots.

I'm completely baffled. I was told by someone here to get a $1.00 game pass, so I did but it tells me 2024 isn't available on my plan. Do I have to buy it outright?

I joined and now I'll be paying $9.99 a month for something I can't even download per my plan.

I have no idea what I'm doing so maybe someone could help me figure out how I can get 2024.

Thanks.

I can't see your screenshots as it says not available in my region, but it's only available on Game Pass Premium or Ultimate tiers.

Or you can buy it outright without a subscription.

Dang! I was told I could get it for $1.00 to try.

These screenshots are from IMGUR. How do I post them Here then?

I think there might have been a $1 trial for your first month but not sure if that's still a thing anymore. They have recently increased the prices of all the Game Pass tiers so might have discontinued that.

It's just because I'm in the UK, Imgur is blocked over here.

You can cancel your current plan.. only have lost $10. Then try the new plan.. even if you pay full price, you still are only paying less than $30 to test it for a full month.

Hello Jack:

Yes, I distinctly recall getting the Standard Edition MSFS for $1 via Xbox Game Pass subscription, but it has been years since, and the transaction was conducted by a certain younger Xbox knowledgeable family member…🙂…Maybe, because it was a new Game Pass subscription.

Anyway,  as stated above, it looks like Game Pass Subscription policy has changed. Nonetheless, you can now get MSFS2024 via either Premium or Ultimate Game Pass (but not via Essential, sorry if I gave you that impression).

After subscription, you then just click the Green Install button.

I believe you will find the seamless Streaming Mode of MSFS2024 (Base and SU) to your liking.

I still recommend the (trial) Game Pass subscription for MSFS2024 because of your system. It’s all kind of hard to say unless we try it ourselves.

Good-luck.

Hi, I didn't get the game pass, I cancelled it. I just bought it outright. All I did so far was install it and have a look. I didn't even have the time to set up controls or anything. There's a lot of things I need to do first. But the opening screen animations look awesome but I don't know if the sim will look that good. Take care. Jack.

Excellent, Jack.

There will be some growing pains in MSFS2024, but wish you happy travels in it…🙂

Merry Christmas…!

It does look that good - depending on your system, of course. But those cinematics are from the sim, not like in the old days where games would have an amazing 3d intro and then..

I switched to https://postimages.org/

Very intuitive interface - no sign up required, seems to work fine in the UK
