What's really disturbing is that this guy has 314,000 subscribers 😟

That's actually pretty amazing. And based on the comments, his followers love him dearly.

Yeah, I guess "inspiration" is the right word.

Frankie MacDonald is very well known and liked here in Nova Scotia. I highly respect him for what he is doing.

How many of us are now unkeen on AI now its impacting our RAM prices and potentially graphics card prices? 😉

I gather manufacturers are now going backwards and ramping up DDR4 motherboard production due to the cost of DDR5. 🙄

I was just recently checking out computer hardware for a new build later this year and unhappily discovered that RAM prices have about doubled since I built my last system a couple years ago.

Hopefully production will increase and bring prices down some, but with the massive data center and AI-driven demand I'm not confident that will happen.

That's the cause of the increase, Dave. The AI demand has left the consumer market in short supply. Major manufacturer's have pivoted toward more profitable AI focused memory.

Definitely doubled in price, and we can expect more.

Graphics cards will be impacted too, and SSD's.

I'm glad I opted for a new GPU and MB, CPU when I did.
