okish is the same as FSX era to me haha!

I've been flying quite a bit recently in that area and the bloby trees are driving me crazy. I'm flying in and out of BUR in the BS Baron and half the trees are weird polygons. Definitely kills immersion. I was also tried flying the new Huey to test it out and it works fine, but the lousy trees make it a lot less fun, as at the slower speed and lower altitude,  the blobs are really noticeable.

Bijan says he plans to fix the area soon and I hope it looks better.

Turn off PG?  I know the overall look isn't as realistic but it's not awful without PG.  And then you don't have the blocky trees.  Unless you mean too many trees, which 2024 also has hehe.

Hey guys! I'm honored to be nominated! Van Nuys is on my list. There're a bunch of iconic locations and buildings (Signature, Airtel Plaza Hotel,  ATC tower, Condor Squadron, Fire Departement ramp... ) that are pretty much out of reach of my rookie Blender skill or would required a vast amount of time in my agenda. I would be capable only to find the closest lookalike object in the generic MSFS library. I dream of someone capable to build this 3D object that I could integrate in the overall layout in MSFS. Team/Community work 😉

PS: as a french PPL pilot, I have a special connection with KVNY. I've watched the One-Six-Right movie maybe a hundred of times, then one day I bought a ticket to US, rented a C172 at San Diego then flew to Van Nuys (via the Mini Route) for a touch & go on the 16R... but ATC cleared me on the 16L! I had to insist like a bull in a china shop and finally got it 😉

I did post on the Orbx forum asking about the existing KVNY.  I'm hoping they are working on an updated version which is why it hasn't been moved over already, but that's just me hoping.
