January 21Jan 21 Moderator Fifty years ago today Concorde flew its first commercial flight. Twenty seven years of supersonic travel came to an end in October 2003. If you were lucky enough to fly on her it’s an experience I’m sure you’ll never forget. Sadly, I didn’t have the money but I do the next best thing and fly the FS Labs version in P3Dv5. Conceived and built in an age when this country and France had extremely clever people. January 21Jan 21 Thanks for posting Ray. I still hold out hope that FSL brings Concorde to MSFS 2024. Time will tell. Edited January 21Jan 21 by MarkW Mark CYYZ

The jury is out as far as I’m concerned Mark. Not a mention in Lefteris’s last announcement. Aircraft first, sim second for me. Ray (Cheshire, England). I was going to say that I remembered that when Concorde was first being discussed (about 1967, I think that was about the time), I attended a lecture about the plane and its design. Very interesting. January 27Jan 27 I have a very special place in my heart for this old bird. As a young camera assistant, in 1985, I was fortunate to be part of a TV crew commissioned to produce a documentary to commemorate it’s tenth anniversary (I think I’ve got my years right 🤪) The ultimate dream for me was to sit in the jump seat during take off from JFK. What a wonderful experience for me, one I will cherish forever.😊 HowardMSI Mag B650 Tomahawk MB, Ryzen7-7800X3D CPU@5ghz, Arctic AIO II 360 cooler, Nvidia RTX4090 GPU, 32gb DDR5@6000Mhz, SSD/2Tb+SSD/500Gb+OS, Corsair 1000W PSU, LG Ultragear 48"4K, MFG Crosswinds, TQ6 Throttle, Fulcrum One YokeMy FlightSim YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/@skyhigh776

January 27Jan 27 Author Moderator Howard, nice story. I've flown that Canarsie departure from 31L. The only problem was it was on a 767, not Concorde. But it did allow me to see the World Trade Centre buildings. That was back in September 1998. Have you visited the museum at Bristol? Back in September 2007 when G-BOAC was out in the open at the Runway Vistor's Park at Manchester I took this shot after doing the Technical Tour. Brings back lots of happy memories and now that AC is inside a hangar to protect it these opportunities are no longer available. Ray (Cheshire, England). I like your pic, nice angle on the nose. I don’t often blurt on about my time spent with Concorde, but thought my little story would be of interest in this thread. Yes, I have visited the ‘old girl’ at the Bristol museum, and wow, what a fantastic job they’ve done. I would highly recommend to anyone, if they haven’t visited, to do so! It’s a fantastic museum, lots of other very interesting aviation associated exhibits too. 😉 Edited January 27Jan 27 by Rocky_53 HowardMSI Mag B650 Tomahawk MB, Ryzen7-7800X3D CPU@5ghz, Arctic AIO II 360 cooler, Nvidia RTX4090 GPU, 32gb DDR5@6000Mhz, SSD/2Tb+SSD/500Gb+OS, Corsair 1000W PSU, LG Ultragear 48"4K, MFG Crosswinds, TQ6 Throttle, Fulcrum One YokeMy FlightSim YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/@skyhigh776

I too sadly never saw her in service, but I am truly glad to have seen 5 Concordes in real life as of this year with the Sierra Delta being my most recent escapade. I must have spend 2 hours in SD alone that day. Here's what I filmed. Plus I enjoy operating all three crew roles on the FSL Concorde in P3dV5. I first flew it in fsx in 2015 🙂 Fond memories stating to make me sentimental ...
