January 24Jan 24 Hi all, I decided to take a chance on the Ini A340. I'm not Inibuilds biggest fan, having had a lot of problems with almost all of their airliner products. But I decided to take a chance. On loading the plane, it looked and sounded fantastic. Rudder / tiller control on the take off roll seemed really jittery but other than that, it seemed a nice immersive addon. Took off from LSGG on a 4hr 15in flight to GCLP. All was fine with set up, take off and climb. In the cruise (an hour into the flight), I turned on the time acceleration via the EFB, at 2x. When I then tried to check turning it off, "Time acceleration 2x" just remained active and displayed on the tablet. No matter how much I spammed the "Disable" button, it seemed locked on 2x sim rate. But worse..... when I then tried to make any changes in the cockpit, it was completely unreponsive.... I tried adjusting the altitude selecter, heading push/pull, autobrake switches.... even the throttle and AP master! I would hear the associated sound but absolutely nothing would happen in the aircraft. I ended up having to abort the flight. This was my first flight with this product! Is what I experienced, a "WASM crash". I've heard so much about them (and have seen pics of orange screens) but have never had one to date. Needless to say, at this point, it's yet another 'lemon' I've bought. My last 3 aircraft purchases (excepting the PMDG 737 2024) have been so disappointing and plagued with problems and bugs. Very disappointed - especially as I bought the A340 over the TFDi MD-11 (due to IRL aircraft preferences). Anyone seen this total unreponsiveness with the Ini A340 before? Or issues with the sim rate / time acceleraton? EDIT: Since posting, I have now found these threads, via Google:- https://forum.inibuilds.com/topic/33985-all-flight-controls-freeze-during-flight/ https://forum.inibuilds.com/topic/34296-a340-freezes-and-veers-off-course/ https://www.reddit.com/r/flightsim/comments/1qb52x5/inibuilds_a340_avionicsinput_freeze_after_6_hours/ Are Inibuilds the most buggy, unreliable aircraft products ever to come to the FS market? Seems that way. Sorry to hear about your opening experience with the iniBuilds A340. That's disappointing... I had my first ever iniBuilds WASM crash (the so-called "Orange Screen of Death", apparently the most common form) only this week with the A343 VIP Edition. The explicit message "WASM module crashed" on the cockpit screens left no room for doubt. However, I understand that WASM crash in the iniBuilds A343 can also appear disguised in other forms such as "Frozen Displays & Inoperable Avionics", which is what you experienced. I've not experienced Sim Rate malfunction or such un-responsive cockpit ever on the Standard Pax A343.
January 25Jan 25 Have you tried deleting the A 340 WASM folder and letting another one be built on next 2024 restart? January 25Jan 25 Author I have a refund incoming from Inibuilds. It's a real shame but PMDG, Fenix, TFDi aren't having addon aircraft barely able to fly a leg due to WASM issues. I think there are real issues at Inibuilds. When you Google WASM crashes and "Ini A340 unresponsive" there are dozens of posts from people affected. Ini acknowledge the problem and claim that it will require action from Asobo. That doesn't fill me with confidence that this major issue will be fixed in the short term. When the refund is processed I'll pick up the TFDi MD-11. Yes, I saw that on the Ini forum thanks, so I cleared the WASM folder and attempted a 2.5 hour flight from EGGD to LEPA. The aircraft became completely unresponsive again, after 45 mins in the cruise. I've attempted 3 flights with this plane over the 2 days I've owned it, and haven't yet been able to experience a landing in it. It's a massive problem for Ini and I hope they can fix it but personally, I don't think they should be selling a product that has such a huge, widespread issue - at least not without a warning that some users are experiencing major issues with WASM on the product. January 25Jan 25 This has been my "favourite" wasm crash just coming onto finals at SYD, handflown with no instrumentation all the way to the ground. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the A350 many times, cleared the wasm folder after each crash, nothing seems to work. No such issues (touch wood) in FS 2020, although it does feel like an A350 Lite. i9-13900K | 6400MHz DDR5 (32GB) | GeForce RTX 4090 24GB MSFS 2024 | PMDG 777-300ER | FBW A380X | Fenix A320 | ini A350

I've read that some users don't have the problem. It's very clear that a lot of us do though. And we're not talking about an inconvenient bug here. The addon freezes completely and the only option is to abort the session. I did submit a ticket.... then read a post from Eddie at Ini all but dismissing and downplaying the issue, so I submitted a further ticket for a refund. I can supply them with proof that I've paid for an addon aircraft that you can only take off and cruise in - no landings and no cruise longer than 1 hour 😄 Edited January 25Jan 25 by JYW Bill 😎FS2024 • Currently in 'GA mode' : A2A Comanche 2024 & Aerostar • Black Square C208, Bonanzas, Barons, TBM850, Dukes • COWS DA40 & DA42 • FSW Legacy, C24R Sierra & C414 • Echo Falco F8L • FFX HJET, Visionjet and P180 2024 • Got Friends A32 Vixxen • FSReborn Sirius TL3000, Sting S4 and Piper M500 • Flyboy Rans S6S • Skyward DA50RG • SWS Zenith CH701, RV-8, RV-10, RV-14, PC12 • Milviz C310R • Air Foil Labs Bristell B23 TrackIR • BeyondATC • PMS GTN Payware • RealTurb • Axis & Ohs • FS Realistic Pro9800X3D • RTX 3080 • 64GB DDR5-6000NPPL licence holder in the UK

I had them with EDFI MD11 and PMDG and earlier releases of Ini products A300 and the A350. I had them pop up on the default Asobo airplanes. I think it has to do with Asobo coding in 2024. these errors never popped up in 2020. I do not wish to belittle anyone's experience and frustration resulting from the WASM crashes of their (iniBuilds) airliners. However, in all fairness, it should be said that: The WASM related crashes are not entirely due to iniBuilds alone; they are (likely) a combined issue involving both iniBuilds' implementation and the MSFS (Asobo) platform, especially for MSFS2024. The WASM crashes are subjective. Some experience it so much that the planes are pretty much unflyable; some experience it rarely (I'm in this category...never with A343 Standard Pax; once with A343 VIP Edition; and never with A359/A35K); and some do not experience it ever (the fortunate ones...🙂...) ... The WASM crashes are not limited to the iniBuilds airliners alone. See another on-going thread this week started by BWBriscoe, who is reporting that his WASM crashes are isolated only to PMDG 777, but not with iniBuilds a/c. The statement that the iniBuilds A343 can only takeoff, cannot land, and cannot fly longer than 1-hour...🙂...is true for some (OP/JYW included) but not true for many others (yours truly included). I am a passionate enthusiast of the A340, with a couple of decades of active travel friendship with the type. In MSFS2024, I've flown the iniBuilds A343 umpteen times without any issue. One of the first long-haul flights I did with it, after getting inspired by a video of "A330 Driver" featuring the same flight, was (KORD->EDDF), 4,500 miles over 9 hours... You can read the full account of my trip posted in the Screenshots Forum, in below link, if you wish. The A343 is an iconic stalwart of modern-era long-haul travel, from a design that was conceived 55 years ago, and it is still flying today. The A340 has an exceptional safety record unmatched by modern airliners of its era (zero passenger fatalities in over 30 years of service since 1992). So, the SIM airplane is a keeper for some of us, and the iniBuilds A343 is the only decent one we have with us today, until the ToLiss A346 appear later... Meanwhile OP/JYW, hopefully, gets his refund processed promptly, and start enjoying the TFDi MD-11, after all his frustrations with the iniBuilds A343...🙂... Cheers...!

Yes, this is exactly what (Orange cockpit screens etc.) I too experienced earlier this week in mid-flight with the A343 VIP Edition, on my final approach to EDDF/ILS Runway 07C. However, as I posted earlier today, and showed pictures for, the VIP A343 did complete a successful test flight this week including a fault-free touchdown into EDDF/07C. I'm keeping my fingers crossed...will test the A343 VIP over a long-haul flight sometime... I have no issues with the Standard Pax A343 variant.
