FSLTL FR24 Live Traffic Injection Ends . - Suggestions ?

Featured Replies

If your main goal is keeping airline traffic around the airports after the FR24 feed change, I’d probably look at AIG first. It takes more setup than FSLTL, but for me the model coverage and schedules are still the main reason I keep it installed. If you want the simpler route, keeping the FSLTL models and pairing them with another injector is easier, but if the question is which setup feels most convincing overall, I still end up back on AIG more often than not.

Even though the FSLTL fleet and Injector were my preferred choice with v2020 & 2024 for VFR flights, after their decision to drop traffic injection, I decided to install AIG and I'm now a believer

I use FSHud is it considered an injector? Can I just use it with FSLTL models?

Then use AIG. AIG was around long before FSLTL and their collection of models, liveries and flight plans is far deeper than FSLTLs. Whilst the UI of both AIG Manager and AIG Traffic Injector arent quite as slick as FSLTLT (in my humble opinion), the product itself is far more expansive. There is the option to have service vehicles in there as well and you can set traffic limits (the number of AI traffic) just like you did in FSLTL.

Failing all that, you can still use their models with SayIntention, BATC or FSHud should you wish. Indeed the integration with FSHud is very good.

I applaud Kai and the team for their continued support of this FREE product.

In my experience FSHud is more the ATC and traffic-management side than the model package itself, so yes, you can pair it with FSLTL models. If you want the easier setup, FSLTL models are fine. If you want deeper airline coverage, I still think AIG is stronger, but FSHud plus FSLTL is absolutely a workable combo.

FSHud itself doesn't provide any traffic schedules - it can use FSLTL models, but something would need to inject the traffic. The FSLTL injector used to, but doesn't any more. MSFS live traffic can use FSLTL models with (or without) FSHud. IMO the best option, however, is AIG, which provides both models and schedules. You can use that in FSHud either using FSHud's own AIG option or with AIG TC/FSHud integration.

Ok doing the 24 day thing here to start with PSXT & Real Traffic.  Any advice on setting this up with FSHUD properly?  Will FSHUD communicate with other traffic cause I dont see any traffic showing in the fshud like before with fsltl.  I see it showing in the sim and on the realtraffic app thats it.

I don't think FSHud will automatically populate its own traffic picture from PSXT/RealTraffic the same way it used to when people were relying on the older FSLTL flow.

If the aircraft are visible in the sim and in RealTraffic, but not really showing inside FSHud, that sounds more like PSXT is driving the visual traffic while FSHud is not the system controlling it.

If your goal is traffic that FSHud can actually manage, I would try the AIG route first. If your goal is just having live aircraft around you visually, PSXT can still do that, but I would not expect the same handoff inside FSHud.

Correct -PSXT does not interact with any ATC (except notionally real world ATC) - so MSFS default ATC, BATC, FSHud or whatever, are not able to control PSXT aircraft. I'm told some of them may 'see' the PSXT aircraft, and advise the user to avoid them, but that's as far as it goes. If you insist on seeing traffic as it is in the real world then by all means use it, but if you want your chosen ATC product to interact with the traffic then use something else, like AIG.

Now that would be real world frightening!

Aye Sir,  Glad I only purchased 24 days out the shoot.  Andrea's is right about PSXT & RealTraffic with FSHUD finally doing some live testing now and FSHud is only talking to me and doesn't even recognize anyone around me in the sim being ran from PSXT & RealTraffic.  The traffic is there but as far as comms are concerned with FSHud it only knows I am here.

FSHud= LiveTraffic No More?

Well, not exactly, but at the moment if you want live traffic your options are fairly limited, such as MSFS's own live traffic.

No, you need some schedules. It will work with AIG, though. You'll need to download the flightplans but you won't have to run AIG TC.

Yes, that is basically how I would separate it right now. If you want traffic that FSHud can actually sequence and talk to, I would go with AIG flightplans and models. If you want to mirror real-world traffic visually, PSXT with RealTraffic can still do that, but I would treat it as a separate goal rather than something FSHud will manage end to end.\n\nSo for me it comes down to what matters more on that flight: realistic live positioning on the screen, or having the ATC side actually own the traffic picture.
