May 3May 3 Author After re-running it, it installed. First I got this: Then when running the sim I got this: Then when the sim was running I got this: So I went to San Diego where I have been going to test and sure enough, the planes still pop in when I get near them. No change in my FPS, I'm still getting 120 as before. I actually don't see any difference. Is this normal? Thanks Adam for your help, I appreciate it. Jack Sawyer
May 3May 3 Jack - you don't need to run it before starting the sim (it will auto-start in MSFS). That's why you got the 2nd "Already running" screen. As to options, try this: 1) Select IFR or VFR (IFR is less demanding than VFR). 2) Tick "Expert Options". 3) Set Auto Method to "Auto TLOD". 4) Tick Auto OLOD. You can then set the thresholds for TLOD and OLD - though I think the defaults are fine.

I like it. Do I need to change this for when I fly the PMDG’s and Fenix’s? Thanks, Jack Jack Sawyer

The theory is that for airliners (that fly way above any terrain or ground detail), you use IFR. If, however, you're "low & slow", then VFR gives you more detail - bearing in mind that the simpler/slower aircraft are generally less resource-hungry. Both IFR and VFR are presets that have different settings for TLOD, OLOD etc. You can tweak any of those threshold values and save them as a USER preset and use that instead. You could, for instance, create a preset that's somewhere between the two (IFR/VFR). I've never needed to go this deep, as VFR with its default settings works wonderfully for me.

Thanks Adam but I still get pop-in. And for some reason all I have is parked planes. On every single flight I have to turn planes on in the sim settings, then I get planes. Jack Sawyer
May 3May 3 On my setup, parked only usually means the sim traffic settings and the injector sequence are fighting each other more than an FSLTL model problem. I would load into the flight first, make sure the sim AI/live traffic options are set the way FSLTL expects, and only then start the injector. If the sim keeps forcing you to re-enable planes every flight, that sounds more like a settings persistence bug after SU5 than an FSLTL issue by itself. It may be worth checking whether those traffic settings are actually being saved between sessions.

May 4May 4 AutoFPS is probably one of the greatest gifts we have been given as a community. Reset XPDR has tirelessly pushed this program week after week to being an absolute must have as far as I am concerned. It's a shame that he does not get recognised by MSFS but I am glad we have it and hopefully one day he will.:)
