Of course, Waymo started here in San Francisco, and for several years before they were “released to the wild” they were “trained” and would go around with a “driver” to intervene if they did something wrong. Especially where I live, it’s a quiet neighborhood, but it seemed they were constantly here. Now that they’re on their own, without a human in the driver’s seat, they’re constantly passing by, and if there’s no passenger onboard, it does feel menacing, like “what’s that car up to, what is it’s mission?” This is the perfect music for them when they’re empty: Edited May 18May 18 by Mike A
