I am not a Beta tester.

I am talking about purchasing VOXatc already checked out / updated by the developer.

Then, anytime VOXatc fails because MSFS had an update then VOXatc should provide it.

ok, here we go, a brief overview of these...

Voices - VoxATC doesn't come with any separate or AI voices. It will use voices installed locally. We have chosen to focus on delivering the most accurate and fully featured simulated ATC environment available. However, don't fret, because there is a free app you can use which enables hundreds of 'hidden' Windows voices from around the world. (Installed separately to VoxATC)

[Heads up: Some of you will feel this is not for you and you want the wonderful voices found in for example, BATC, or others. If that's you, fine, we are comfortable you using whatever you feel works best for you, because each of the ATC apps offers something the others don't. Just don't bring a heap of negativity to the table please. Expressing your preference is fine, abuse or harsh negativity because you desire something we've chosen not to work with, is not.]

Oceanic - VoxATC won't support oceanic flights at the moment but it could potentially in the future. It's not a small job though.

Emergencies - VoxATC will allow you to declare a range of emergencies, yes.

Voice Recognition - VoxATC will take a different approach to some other ATC apps. Rather than having to be internet connected, and each transmission sent for processing, using LLMs potentially racking up considerable AI token usage and subscription costs, Vox ATC uses a locally installed neural processor working in conjunction with windows speech recognition. VoxATC therefore takes two inputs, one from speech recognition and the other from the neural processor and determines the output it works with.

• This vastly improves accuracy over simple speech recognition alone.

• It requires no internet connection, no external AI and no subscription costs.

• It does require a little training by the user and some continued developer tweaking of the local neural processor rules to massage out edge cases - a process of continual improvement.

• The voice recognition system is also as a result much more flexible. It intelligently expects and looks for certain types of responses in different phases of flight. It recognises keywords independently, so for example, rather than having to read back a controller instruction strictly verbatim, you can successfully read it back correctly, but in any order. If you make one element of the readback improperly, VoxATC will repeat only that element back to you for correction.

We already covered this before. Please respect the answer you were given earlier Vaughan. I do remember your somewhat abrasive comments in the by now ancient P3D forums.... let's not go there please. You've expressed an opinion and been given a clear answer. End of.

What does “current version” mean for MSFS2024?

I can answer that if you can kindly lend me your crystal ball and assure everyone that SU6 or future updates will not fundamentally alter the ecosystem of the sim and render any existing functions broken and un-useable? You can't do that, and you know I can't either.

However, I will humour you...so peering through the semi-opaque crystal I can see four logical forward paths:

1. An SU changes or breaks nothing - No issue, carry on as before.

2. An SU changes or breaks something - (and its fixable by a third party developer) - As with many software addons, wait until its updated and carry on as before.

3. An SU changes or breaks something - (and it's only fixable by Asobo, not a third party developer) - Wait til Asobo makes it fixable!

4. An SU changes or breaks something - (and it's not fixable at all). Make do without.
