I have it, but unfortunately doesn't work in VR, also true of Chaseplane, so no good for me.

This isn't new, it's been around since 2020, and the newer 26 version has it's own thread already.

Chaseplane works relatively fine in VR, what issues are you having?

I bought Spotty26 and love it as it has restored a high quality Flyby and that is really all I care about. I find the default camera system amply adequate, super quick and easy to setup any new planes for my 10 custom views and now that we have a Flyby that does not overwrite the default camera system I'm stoked to have it. I owned and used ChasePlane in 2020 but decided against it for 2024 even though it's essentially free to me, or was at least. Not worth the setup for me.

Thanks for that, the website said not recommended for VR due known limitations - so I took them at their word, and have never tried it.

Anything it's useful to know, before I give it a go? An issues?

I'm also very interested in Chaseplane but have always held off due to what I thought was no VR support. Interesting to hear that it actually works.

Honestly in ‘24 no issues at all, they even got rid of the double cursor that was in 2020.

I actually lied there’s one minor issue, when you press start flight, your camera won’t work for like 2 seconds while chaseplane initialises. That’s pretty much it.

In my opinion, ChasePlane is an excellent camera tool if you're willing to replace the default MSFS camera system and create custom camera configurations for each aircraft you fly.

Spotty26 takes a different approach by building on the default MSFS camera system rather than replacing it. It offers greater flexibility through map-based camera placement, allowing you to create and save camera views anywhere in the world. These views can be used not only with your own aircraft but also with AI traffic, making it ideal for spotting, flybys, tower views, and general aircraft observation.
