The reason it bothers me so much is because when my aircraft is close to said blooming, my cockpit is very washed out from the excessive lighting. For me, it makes it hard to discern the readings on some of the instruments. May not be as bad for everyone, but for me, it causes problems. That's all I can say. 😊😉

Huh interesting. I have not experienced that. are you running HDR or something?

What is interesting is the POIs effected by this bug don't appear to be the same ones as last time.

I remember Tripler Army Hospital in Hawai'i having the bug last time, but it doesn't this time.

  • I've been at this since the dawn of 2020 and now 2024 and never had to fix anything after an update. What's beyond stunning to me is just how much stuff is addressed in these updates compared to any

  • To be honest, most of the fixes are above my horizon. I didn’t know there was problems or I don’t understand what they mean. I might be only one or at least one of the few with limited understanding

Nope, not running HDR. I am running on a 4k display and have tried both TAA and DLSS and both have the same issue for me.

Since your sig says nVidia 5090, try using nVidia AI HDR. Turn off HDR in MSFS 2024. Turn ON HDR in Windows. Disable Auto HDR in Windows. In nVidia control panel, graphics, find MSFS 2024, set RTX HDR to On. FPS impact is very very minimal. Results are better and can compensate a little for the MSFS 2024 issues.

BUT, important, MSFS 2024 does NOT actually have HDR texture assets … soooo … but nVidia’s fake AI HDR does a better job that MSFS 2024 fake HDR. Honestly, no idea why MSFS/Asobo to include HDR without having actual HDR textures.
