I have manually downloaded updates for years without any problems. We have it too easy these days.

  • I'll give you an honest answer. I've tried both. I figured that downloaded would be faster loading and running. I was wrong. Streaming was MUCH faster loading and stutter-free. YMMV.

No problems here either, i'll check updates when i start sim and if any available, update and off we go 😎

So last night I purchased the excellent new Heraklion scenery from the marketplace and found that for some reason if I tried to install it rather than stream, it would disable itself. No amount of uninstalling, enabling and disabling would work - it remained stubbornly invisible in the sim unless it was streamed. I alerted the dev Lisium (who responded super fast on their discord, thumbs up for their support) who said they’d look into the issue.

I then had no choice but to fly in there with it streamed. It was like landing in Roblox. I’ll stick to downloading….
