  • Then you're not flying either way. Your plane or airport being stored on a local HD does nothing to help in this situation as 2024 itself requires a functioning internet connection either way. No inte

  • I'll give you an honest answer. I've tried both. I figured that downloaded would be faster loading and running. I was wrong. Streaming was MUCH faster loading and stutter-free. YMMV.

If you have the capacity to an SSD download everything. Every addon I use thats not in my community folder is downloaded but I also have a TB ssd dedicated to msfs. But than again Streaming complex aircraft and airports doesn't seem practical to me when you're already streaming world and weather data.

I also was thinking downloading will make it faster but it just wasn't

Also

is it just me but when you download something then after that (say plane) was updated you have to MANUALLY update it !?

you know... through My library, download then install. Every #$/"&& time 😐

After last disappointment (you can read more in my own topic but you can survive without it) I'll decide I'll just stream in future

2024 loads both itself and flights faster than 2020 because 2024 is streaming more data from the cloud instead of pulling that data off of your local hardrive.

5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB  PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. Crystal Light VR.

Downloading MSFS 2024 to your harddrive is like going to Gamestop and asking for a physical copy of MSFS.

Manual updating? Oh, the horror!! 🙄

I really don't see any difference either way. So now I pretty much stream everything now.

I don't understand, what's your point about cache size?

Think of it like the downloaded content you visited. Next time it's there.

Have no problem downloading into pc , what you are going to do when streaming doesn't work? As long as your network works there might not be problems but what happens when it doesn't?
