Inibuilds A388 - Navigraph Cycle will not update

Featured Replies

Hi,

I'm just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this. I cannot get the Navigraph Cycle to update in the A388. The EFB shows it is stuck on Cycle 2609r1. I have the current cycle installed into the sim via the Hub.

I've followed the online instructions on how to update it, but nothing is happening.

Regards,

Scott

I know with the A340 I have to disconnect and reconnect my Navigraph account via the EFB before it will up date.

I don't own the A380 so I can't really help outside of that suggestion.

Try asking on the inibuilds discord.

That won't help, it needs to be installed via the A380's EFB.

That is what I have tried.

Via the EFB, logging out from Navigraph, reconnecting and authorizing Navigraph via the browser pop-up. I then press "Check AIRAC", the only version that shows is the old one. There is not a button to "update navcycle" or anything like that.

Load the plane at the gate cold and dark. Before doing anything go to the EFB and the update navdata button should appear. At least that worked for me after a helpful hint on the ini discord. Good luck.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply.

I just tried what you suggested. Unfortunately, that didn't work. Still stuck on the old cycle.

Did you import a Simbrief flight plan? If yes, try it without doing that.

I've tried without importing the Simbrief flightplan - same results.

I went over to the Inibuilds Forum and found a discussion regarding the issue. Seems I'm not the only one experiencing it:

Navigraph Navdata update button missing

I have an active navigraph subscription, I logged in 2x and tried logging out and resetting, but the update navdata button is missing from here. I installed the latest AIRAC through the navigraph hub

Does the ini 380 work in SU7 beta?

I do not own the INI A388 so my explanation may not be valid, but I updated my AIRACS this afternoon as usual via the Navigraph data manager that includes all my addons, do you have this Navigraph data manager and does the INI A388 appear on the list of addons supported? If so, do it through that software.

ini's aircraft are only updated via the in game EFB, not the hub.

There's a suggestion in that thread to try updating with an empty community folder.

Yes, I saw that suggestion.

I'm going to hold off on doing that - wait and see if that also works for anyone else.

So I found a workaround on the ini discord. Simply setup the EFB to update Navigraph data, you can even initiate it, I did. It failed immediately tho that was expected. Now here is the trick. Exit your flight via “Main Menu”. After doing that respawn to a parking slot and now when you log off from Navigraph and log in again it will now offer the needed upgrade and you can verify with the check button. It worked for me, hope it works for you too! YMMV. TANSTAAFL Blue skies,
