Somewehe in this thread I read that the text size in this app could be changed using the setup option. Unfortunately I must have overlooked this option, but I just cannot find it. Can any of you inform me how and where I can change the text size, please?

Thanks beforehand.

Kind regards,

Found the solution. An unistall and reinstall fixed it for me.

@NaughtyPickle Thank you for the 0.9.1 update and all the features added. The improvements are fantastic, and TechLog adds a whole new level of realism and immersion to my Fenix flights. Really enjoying it. Keep up the great work!

MSI GeForce RTX 2080Ti Gaming X Trio 11 GB GDDR6 | Intel Core i7-9700K 3.6Ghz | Kingston HyperX Fury Black 32GB DDR4 3200Mhz PC-25600 (2x16GB) | Asus Rog Strix Z390-E Gaming | BenQ EX3501R 35" Curved Ultrawide Monitor 100 Hz (3440×1440)

I think I've found the perfect combination to take the realism of flying the Fenix Airbus to another level: Fenix TechLog + ChatGPT acting as my airline's Maintenance Control Center (MCC).

I've set up a dedicated ChatGPT conversation where it acts as the MCC engineer for whichever airline I'm currently flying for, while I take the role of the captain.

Whenever Fenix TechLog reports a defect, I contact the MCC just as a real pilot would. ChatGPT assesses the problem, checks the relevant MEL considerations, evaluates operational implications and advises whether the aircraft should be dispatched, repaired immediately or have maintenance scheduled for a later stop.

What makes this particularly interesting is that an aircraft being technically dispatchable under the MEL doesn't necessarily mean dispatching it is the best operational decision. For example, several individually acceptable deferred defects may collectively create operational concerns. ChatGPT considers the overall technical condition of the aircraft rather than simply treating every GO-MEL item as an automatic green light.

I can also send it screenshots of Fenix TechLog, photographs of aircraft systems or ECAM messages to help with troubleshooting and maintenance decisions.

We even discuss realistic maintenance planning, defect deferrals and when it makes sense to ground the aircraft until repairs are completed. The actual repairs are then carried out through Fenix TechLog.

The result is a surprisingly immersive captain–MCC interaction that adds a whole new dimension to operating the Fenix Airbus.

Of course, ChatGPT isn't a certified maintenance engineer and its MEL interpretations aren't always perfect, but as a simulation and role-playing tool, I'm finding this combination extremely enjoyable.

If you're already using Fenix TechLog, I definitely recommend giving it a try!

There is no way I will actively contribute to datacenters destroying the environment by using ChatGPT in such a way.

Well, I guess we’ll have to stop using SayIntentions and other similar AI-powered applications too, then. Where exactly do we draw the line? I was simply sharing an enjoyable way to add realism to flight simulation, nothing more.

That's exactly why I don't use SayIntentions and stick to BATC with local voices.

Alternatively one can run a local LLM on his own GPU even without internet access, it's quite impressive. Then you you use and pay your own power consumption ;)

I asked to a local Ternary-Bonzai-27B LLM if can help me on maintenance subjects of an A320, here is the answer:

Of course! I can help you with maintenance on the A320ceo (the "classic" A320 fitted with CFM56-7B or Trent 800 engines, in contrast to the A320neo/LEAP/PW1000 variants). Today's date is 15 October 2026 — handy for aligning task deadlines if needed.

To steer the assistance in the right direction, here are the main areas I can help you with:

1. Inspection and check organization
- A-check, B-check, C-check, D-check: duration, intervals, typical tasks
- Preparation and drafting of the maintenance log (MLR, faults, MEL/CFL)

2. Technical documentation
-
AMM (Airbus Maintenance Manual): how to work with its chapters
-
TRB/SRM (Troubleshooting and Repair / System Reliability Management)
-
FCL (Fault Correction Logic), **EPC**, **EAD**
-
AD / EAD / EDD / CD: maintenance instructions, interpretation

3. Systems (depending on your area of interest)
- Avionics and AFCS / FMS
- APU (PW127M): APU checks, EGT, APU test
- Hydraulics (green/yellow/blue systems)
- Electrical / buses
- Propulsion: CFM56 / Trent 800, engine inspections, TSO, ducts
- FWM / EGT / BITE, PMA
-
MEL/CFL: approvals, restrictions

4. Troubleshooting & hands-on work
- Reading fault reports (PFA, fault reports)
- System troubleshooting, root cause analysis
- Preparing a **maintenance report** or a **fault analysis**

5. Training / exams
- A&P,
AME, or an A320 maintenance module
- Review focused on a specific module (e.g., "APU checks," "hydraulics troubleshooting")

To get started effectively, tell me:

1. Y
our background (A320 technician, AME, student, etc.)
2.
The specific subject you want to work on
3.
The context: exam, hangar work, fault analysis, or just general knowledge?

I'll then adapt to your level (basic explanation / technical / AMM references). 🛫

I stopped at the A320 with Trent 800 engines. Could have stopped at CFM67-7B also.

I would love to see someone try to mount Trent 800's on to an A320.
