Can you confirm the difference between sim EFB and Fenix EFB?

The sim EFB is the EFB that comes with the default sim. Where all the Apps are in. Where default flightplanner is in. Where you refuel and load default aircraft, find default checklist etc.

And that is where this app is installed into.

In the Settings of the Techlog app you can change the text size.

Or you can run it externally in a browser or a tablet.

Hello, everyone. Came across this thread while googling my app :D I'm glad you all liked it.

Why its in Sim EFB and not Fenix?
Its the limitation. I really do not wanna touch any of fenix files while doing. Right now how I inject stuff is their EFB has gateway that I can use, as long as it stays there app will be fine. Because of this I had to put it on Sim EFB.

Why Sim EFB looks weird sometimes?
Microsoft... They used way different rendering there, I am just a backend engineer so front end(visuals and stuff are not my strong suit) but I will improve it soon, hopefully.

PMDG 737?
Yes! Just done initial tests today. Its doable. But not next week. I have some personal issues to handle next 2 weekends after that development will start. And I am an Airbus pilot so, might require some helps for tests.

Donation Page.
No I do not have any and as long as app stays in local computers I am not planning to get any. My initial intention to develop this for myself. I was flying FSL A21N and I really like how Fenix graphics looks, but without techlog, flying is meaningless for me and developed this, my wife made me publish it.

You dont have to use build in EFB, Its also available on browser, phone and tablet. Just enable Phone & Tablet Access from http://localhost:7733/#settings and you can access it!

The community thanks your wife. 🥂

It would also be great if one day this could be added to the other Payware Airbusses, like the Aerosoft/Tolliss A340-600, and the IniBuilds offerings that come with failures.

Actually, after the A21N, the A346 is my second most-flown aircraft, mainly because my Winwing MCDU doesn't support many other planes. 😅 That's actually a good idea! I'd love to see it myself as well, haha. I'll take a look after PMDG.

@NaughtyPickle Thank you so much for sharing this amazing app.

I have two suggestions:

1. Airline-managed maintenance mode: An optional mode where routine and preventive maintenance is handled automatically between flights. MEL defects would remain active, while NO-GO failures would require the user to request repairs. This would let us focus on the pilot's responsibilities rather than acting as maintenance engineers, while keeping the realism of dealing with aircraft defects

2. Precise failure frequency control: Allow users to set a specific average frequency for random in-flight failures (e.g., one every 10, 25, 50 or 100 flight hours), independently of aircraft age and component wear, while keeping failures unpredictable.

Thanks again for your great work!

While we are spitballing ideas, this could also be made reflective of real world maintenance habits of carriers. Low Cost carriers will definately take less good care of their fleet than premium ones.

A 29 year old Airbus flying for Lufthansa will be in way better shape than the same aircraft flying for Aeroflot at this age. (for obvious reasons)

I think it would be better to have selectable maintenance profiles (Well Maintained, Standard, Aging Fleet) rather than linking maintenance quality to specific airlines.

An older aircraft can still be very well maintained, and this would give users more flexibility when creating used aircraft in TechLog.

Hey this is just in with 0.8.1. thank you for the ideas! was good brainstorming :D

Yes a terrific app indeed...

Seeing as we are going for realism (to a point) the above is a better approach than the user simply selecting a random occurrence of failure percentage (which may of may not be entirely accurate)... i thought a simple Google would provide an answer as to what to set failures too but it came back with..

Air New Zealand does not publish a specific, overall "aircraft systems failure percentage," as commercial airlines track reliability, dispatch reliability rates, and mechanical delay statistics rather than an aggregate failure percentage

Not sure where that info would come from and how laborious it would be to get it!

Doesnt stop the enjoyment of the program thats for sure...

(PS - I think its absolutely great that real ALP make these apps as they know exactly what is 'real' and what isnt)

I've installed the 0.8.1 update. Thanks for adding the maintenance profiles!

I've set my aircraft to Well Maintained, but the cabins still show a lot of wear, especially the seats.

I even deleted and recreated an aircraft as Used, selecting Well Maintained from the start, but most seats still appeared heavily worn, with several existing defects.

Is there a way to start with an aircraft's realistic age, hours and cycles, but with a cabin in better condition, as you'd expect from a well-maintained airline? Perhaps a cabin refurbishment option?

Thanks again for the update!
