that is an interesting observation. i had a beta tester that was suffering CTD with the same symptoms. let me see if your observations fit his.you can certainly overide all the frequencies, by going to the controllers page, and change the atis frequenciesjd

Hi JD,Just completed KMIA-EDDF uneventfully after changing KMIA atis (119.15 ->119.10) to a different frequency than FRA approach.Best Rgs Perttu

I experienced an atc.dll crash last night on approach to KIAH. Same symptoms. I did not look at the frequencies before departing but I will pay special attention on my next flights. If I experience a crash again does RCv4 log which frequencies were assigned in log files? Also, has beta testing been able to reproduce this issue? Thanks,

Hi,I'm the beta tester that JD is referring to.FSUIPC Version 3.553 fixes this problem. You can download it from Peter Dowson's web site:www.schiratti.com/dowson.htmlLet us know how you make out.Sandy

This problem happens to me only if I flew to a destination an return without to do an end of my first flight. When I return to my previous airport and I contact the atis of this airport I had a crash atc.dll. I tested some other airport and it happens always...I try the last fsuipc.dll 3.553 but it doesn't change, the error of atc.dll is always here. To avoid this problem when I go back to my previous airport I do an end of the flight and then no crash when I contact the atis. Anyone else having this kind of problem.

Hi CG,FS ATC must be enabled in order to avoid this type of atc.dll crash. Look in the FS9 ATC Settings page and make sure that "Show ATC Text" and "Auto-Open ATC Window are both checked. You should no longer get the atc.dll crashes, but you will see the FS ATC pop-up windows. The FSUIPC 3.553 fix provides for suppressing the FS ATC windows if desired.Sandy

Unbelievable !A couple of months ago I mailed jd about this issue occuring to me as well. It allways happened when "Otto" tried to get arrival ATIS. Since it only happened at a specific route (EDDH/Hamburg to EDDM/Munich) my solution was to not fly it anymore.Following your observation I checked the f4.xls and guess what, of course the airports in question use the same ATIS frequency. Changed it for EDDH and now it works ! Funny thing is that it only happened on the flight from Hamburg to Munich. I fly from Munich to Hamburg quite frequently as well but never had it happening there. Thanks a million.Oliver

I have the same situation as CG. I flew from KIAH-KTUS and then KTUS-KIAH and I got the ctd-atc.dll when i was landing at kiah. Sandy, I will try your fix when I get home tonight. If I enable/check "show atc text" and "auto open atc window" ... what setting in fsuipc 3.553 do i need to enable to prevent the fs default atc window from opening? Thanks,

FSUIPC v3.53 is the current version on Peter's page. Where do you get 3.553?

Hi Jerel,Add the following statement in the[General] section of your FSUIPC.INI file (located in Program FilesMicrosoft GamesFlight Simulator 9Modules)RemoveATC=1Sandy

Hi Sandy,I do what you told me and now there is no more problem with atc.dll, thank you. But I have always the atc window open, and adding "removeatc=1" in my fsuipc.ini doesn't change this problem...Any suggestions?Thank you

The RemoveATC=Yes entry should go in the [General] section of the FSUIPC per the documentation on Pete Dowsons site.I made the change and I think this setting unchecks the two settings (show text and windwow) for the ATC that need to be enabled in FS.Can anyone confirm? My sim shutdown on a flight last night without an error message. I changed the fsuipc.ini file while FS was running. That may have been the culprit.
