  1. My parents have a house in Westwing mountain area and I always rent a 172 from Westwind at Deer Valley. What ever is up in Sedona will probably be pretty expensive.
  2. That sim is so old it probably uses the A and N ranges!
  3. Not sure how much is in there though. The other one I used to use was Flight Theory and Aerodynamics by Charles Dole.
  4. Have you looked through the Aerodynamics for Naval Aviator's yet? http://www.faa.gov/library/manuals/aviation/media/00-80T-80.pdf
  5. My first computer was and Apple II GS. I used to play Need for Speed and flight simulator all the time. Every once in a while I would use it to make a nice essay for school
  6. I'm leaving the 121 world for the 91 world again. After accepting employment it is amazing how many opportunities have come my way as well. It should really make the next two weeks exciting moving off the island and having a baby in a month! Bye bye Dash's and ATR's!
  7. Just got an offer to go back into the small stuff and I am jumping. Airline work is too hard for me! I enjoy my 250 days off and exotic locations with corporate. Might make a post in a couple days with my jump.

  10. Check out what Hangar Chat is for: This forum is for the discussion of real world aviation topics and any other topics not covered in other forums. Do you guys get discounted insurance for using a camera?
  11. Don't worry I've had to read through many journals when I was researching this topic for a paper. Most were much more in depth than this one you posted that went into radiation levels. The conclusion that was found from many of the articles was that longwave radiation was lower causing a cooling from .5-1 C.
  12. We all loved the farmer one as well because we all farm. Unfortunately for them Ford has been the best work trucks for us.
  13. Well your study that you linked concluded what I was explaining.
  14. No, there is a difference between analysis and prediction.
  15. The radiation comes in as shortwave and radiates back skyward as longwave which reflects back again from high cirrus clouds. Here is a good description on the process of changing radiation and the clouds effect. http://earthobservatory.nasa.gov/Features/Clouds/ Nearly every variation in the atmosphere is recorded. It's fairly simple to find the effects within the air mass.
  16. I think it tops out after 15 years. So she wasn't making much haha.
  17. I did a little analysis of it last year after it happened: http://forum.avsim.net/topic/382108-the-dangers-of-density-altitude/
  18. It actually heats the earth up by reflecting radiation back down again. There was an article I remember reading that the earth cooled after 9/11 because of the lack of contrails from all the grounded aircraft.
  19. Real! Then I can get my paycheck haha.
  20. It is one o the possibilities but most likely will not be used.
  21. Well it says they will be adding their own turbofans it will be interesting to see which copy they go with.
