Jim, Hi there! I may not have been as clear as I should have. It appears the indexing by forum may not be working (or I'm not using it as intended). In my original example, search for "repaint" yields 6k+ results. Navigate to the following forum: The AVSIM Community -> Commercial Support Forums (Official and Unofficial) -> The Unofficial Alabeo Support Forum -> C404 TITAN FSX/P3D: http://www.avsim.com/forum/738-c404-titan-fsxp3d/ Search for "repaint" in the upper right search window (with Google selected), same 6k+ results. Change Google to "This Forum" and it yields no results (despite several threads on the page with "repaint" either in the title or content of posts. The same happens when trying to narrow search results by forum via Advanced Search options. Is there is another way to just search specific forums that I'm missing?

I'm able to search the all the forums using the search box in the upper right. However, searching a specific forum yields no results. For example, a search for "repaint" site wide, yeilds 6k+ results. Going to one of the forums which contains some of those results, attempting to search for "repaint" in that forum shows no results.

Flying a light twin in IMC, with all the airports in the region being marginal at best. Noticed a significant electrical draw on the system at the same moment I smelled something burning. Long story short, gear hydraulic pump ate itself up and caught fire, starting to fill the cabin with smoke. Needed to vent the cabin, and an emergency gear extension while in IMC with no autopilot. Biggest lesson learned (when looking back): When communicating with ATC when they asked me what I wanted, I told them the airport which was closest to me (actually I was directly overhead it), which I knew had an ILS. Since I was at altitude I should have opted for the busy Class C which was about 5 miles further away. The field I landed was a small, uncontrolled field while the Class C field had fire/rescue on the field (didn't ask the question until I was on the ground: "Did that pump fire cause any other damage I don't know about?"). So, in retrospect, should have taken into account field services when selecting where I want to go (since it wouldn't have taken any additional time to get to the bigger airport).

I've never had a Garmin BSOD on me: After it rebooted and did the same thing, just shut it off. Anyway, beautiful evening to do a couple of practice approaches in the Bonanza. Here we're getting vectors after going missed on an RNAV approach to return back home and shoot the ILS: And, short final before paying the bill for the gas and heading home:

I'll admit, I'm a bit more paranoid than most. The reason is that I once lost everything due to a multiple-drive RAID failure during a move, with lack of a real backup. My current setup is: - All machines in the house back up to a 16TB NAS (NAS also has all my FS archive stuff, all my DVD's which I've ripped, music, etc etc) - That NAS (QNAP) is mirrored (rsync) to another 16TB NAS (Synology). - The QNAP NAS has a couple external USB HDD's which stuff is backed up to. - Everything is backed up/sync'd online via CrashPlan

Thanks. 10 hours into VHHH (Taxi2Gate) to KJFK (FSDT), have not entered arrival runway (only STAR) and sitting at 1.5GB of VAS remaining.

Exact same flight last night (same LAX STAR), same crash about 3 hours in. Odd that I was able to do CYVR - YSSY the day before with no issues (even starting with FSDT's CYVR).

Guess that's where I'm confused. The Virtual Avionics CDU works with the 777 in P3D 2.5, I'm using it right now. That's why I was curious about he NGX. Guess something changed. I'll push a ticket off to Virtual Avionics. Thanks,

Anyone having issues with the Virtual Avionics CDU working with the P3D NGX? It works with no issues with the FSX variant, also works with no issues with the P3D T7. However, can't get it to connect. Just wanted to check before firing off a support ticket to Virtual Avionics. Thanks,

After watching the trailer, just ordered it. Now need to wait for it to get back in stock. All the times I went to Osh, when Bob Hoover spoke, it was the only presentation I remember where every time it was standing room only in the large pavilion. Still have my autographed "Forever Flying".

I don't know what to tell you, other than something else going on with your setup. Since I reinstalled ASN, not a single OOM, despite multiple long-hauls (finishing up KMSP-RJAA right now). So, it worked for me. Was just a suggestion for something to try.

Try a reinstall of ASN and possibly a reinstall of the T7. On a side note, did these OOM's just start happening recently with no prior issues?

This worked for me as well. Recently started experiencing OOM's on my long hauls, after months of no issues, with no sim changes (running DX10). Even reducing all my settings, couldn't complete a EHAM-KJFK or PHNL-KORD flight without an OOM over the ocean somewhere. Went through every troubleshooting thing I could think of, including a re-install of the T7. Uninstalled/Reinstalled ASN on my networked machine, and now things are back to normal. Flying KORD-VHHH and am 2.5 hours past where it OOM'd yesterday and rock solid at 2.5-2.6GB VAS usage. Using the same day/time flight, and even using yesterday's wx. The only difference was the uninstall/reinstall of ASN.

Not to derail the topic, but concerning FlightZone.... Being an FSX/P3D guy, I can't express how much I miss their KPVD scenery (as that's where I learned to fly). It was spot on.

Anyone here streaming FSX DX10 with XSplit Broadcaster in Game Capture mode (not screen capture)? I'm having an issue and looking for someone that is able to stream with this specific mode to ask a couple questions. Thanks!
