  1. I bought this RadRover 6 Step-Thru back when I still had a decent income. I'm going to try selling it to someone local(ish), but despite it still being new will very likely never get nearly what I paid for it! It is an off-road Class 2 ebike with 4.5" wide self-sealing tires and weighs about 85 lbs.
  2. I have a very nice eBike. For the few minutes I pedaled it (about .4 mile) it was a wonderful experience. Unfortunately, my plans to build up my leg strength has been foiled. I had no idea that my sense of balance had deteriorated so much that I dare not try to ride it again... 😫
  3. Noel, all ebikes have pedals, and most have 7-speed Shimano gears, just like regular bikes. The electric motor is there to provide various levels of assistance, but only works while pedaling for the most part. Class 1 has pedal assistance only Class 2 has pedal assistance as well as "throttle control". Class 3 has same as Class 2, but the motor is more powerful than a Class 2. They are just pedal pusher vehicles! 😊
  4. LPG = Liquid Propane Gas
  5. We drive on parkways, but park on driveways...
  6. I am posting this as a FINAL update on the donated funds. As I stated any funds left over would be used to help another Veteran in distress. I've started a separate GoFundMe campaign for the very person I had brought home a few weeks ago from the Little Rock VA Hospital. He had undergone lower colon surgery to remove a large mass that nearly blocked his lower intestine. Last year he had a partial thyroidectomy. His 40+ year air conditioner/heater had catastrophic failure and is far past its expiration date. I am not, repeat not asking anyone here to make a donation, but wanted to let you wonderful folks know that you have also helped yet another Veteran in distress! What a lovely and loving bunch of friends!
  7. For several years I participated in JMS's Usegroup (remember those?). He frequently ran by some of his proposed scenarios and solicited the group's suggestions and opinions. JMS was unique amongst sci-fi writers because he essentially planned in great detail the entire five-year B5 story arc long before actually writing the scripts.
  8. Now that I have my car back, I can go that a photo of the offending pot hole along with a copy of the receipt for the repairs and make a claim for reimbursement. FWIW, the car runs like a new one again! The only thing forgotten was for Alan to clear and reset the brake and ABS warning lights on the instrument cluster! 🤔
  9. I suspect that it is a phony report, largely based on the really blatant use of fuzzy video clips throughout. This is the primary reason I posted this so I could get other's feedback on the veracity of this "report."
  10. I saw this on my YouTube feed a few moments ago and wanted to ask what y'all think of the plans to resume building the 727 after updating the avionics and installing new generation of engines...

    Heh-heh-heh...

My first cell phone was a large brick that Radio Shack sold for about a $zillion dollars and weighed nearly as much as a small car... 🤑 ...now my favorite cell phone is a tiny, thin gadget that weighs a bit more than a eagle's wing feathers and about the same size as a pack of cigarettes. 😄
  12. The repair replaced both rear McPherson struts since the shock absorbers are an integral part of the struts and having them replace only one would result in an uneven ride, as well as being rather unsafe. Tomorrow I am going to have both rear tires replaced so I can put the spare back in the trunk, along with the rather plain steel wheel... Again I wish to express my deep gratitude for all of the support from my friends here and elsewhere. Without this priceless assistance I would still remain trapped in the deep, dark woods unable to get places I need to be easily!
  13. Cue my "Happy Dance!" I just spoke to the garage's owner, and he told me my car is fixed finally. Yahoo!
  14. I noticed the same and wondered about the co-pilot's confusion regarding the flap setting. . .
  15. You bettcha, like white on rice or stink on a skunk!
  16. Thanks for sharing this. I just spent the last hour watching all of the videos relating to Officer Hare. May God Bless this young man and his family. RIP
  17. His name is Alan Parks. All I know about him I discovered from a giant photo of him sitting in his car. His Funny Car however was in one of the service bays. I didn't take too close a look at it though.
  18. Matthew, that is precisely what I've noticed and posted on my Faceplant (er, I mean Facebook... 😄 I was pleasantly surprised to learn that the owner/chief mechanic was a Formula One owner/driver and is presently building and driving a "Funny Car!" That gives me some confidence that he is an experience and competent mechanic.
  19. It appears that every garage in Hot Springs is suffering from an over-abundance of vehicles needing to be fixed. I visited the garage this morning and the owner told me that he was waiting for his parts suppliers to call back and let him know if they can get the parts needed. He said he would bump my car to the front of the line and try to get it repaired ASAP - for certain values of "soon" I suspect...
  20. Well, a rollback picked up my car and took it to the repair shop Friday morning. Hopefully, I will find out tomorrow when it might be fixed! 😉
  21. XP has been approved for flight training with the addition of certified hardware for many years...
  22. Oh darn, it sounded as though it might have been "real..." 🤔
  23. Thanks to the generosity of my friends here as well as at FSDeveloper, the goal has been met and I am hoping to arrange for my poor car to be towed to the repair shop tomorrow so it can hopefully be fixed quickly.I had two appointments at the Veterans Administration Clinic this morning, so had to call for a ride from SCAT mini-bus service. They charged me $15 for roundtrip service, which frankly is very reasonable considering that UBER car ride wanted $60 for the same trip!!
  24. If testing trials prove this new drug is as effective as the preliminary results demonstrate, this will be the biggest news of the century!
