  1. I tried the Hawker and it is doing well with my I5 and Nividea 650 card. Thanks to Bert's mod, it suits my needs for a quick ride without going tubeliner or miltary! Thanks again All
  2. Thanks for the feedback! I had seen some posts about Berts's mods and will for sure PM him after I buy.
  3. Planning to buy one of these last several releases and add GTN 750 for normal use. This, while waiting for some other in development competitors. My PC is fine for FSX but is somewhat modest by current standards. Is there any consensus which might be most frame friendly?
  4. I must be doing something wrong as the EagleSoft Development Group Website shows they are on FaceBook but I cannot find it in FB on my I-phone 6. Tried a variety of different searches to no avail. Would like to track progress towards completion of the XLS+. Any ideas how I can find it without having to go to my PC to their website? Thks!
  5. Welcome to simming! You will learn to get familiar with the aircraft you are flying and the normal operating speeds. You likely need to reduce throttle a little after your take off and monitor your airspeed to not overspend it. There are ways to turn off the warning messages in the config files which you may want to do after you gain a little more experience. There are many people here with all levels of experience and seriousness. Have fun!
  6. I also get better frame rates with NGX tnann the IFly ver 3.1. Using in application performance toll helps a little. Wish there were a few more options to improve the frames. Overall it is a fine addition and I might re-buy when I move to Prepar3d
  7. Took a few short flights. Seems great, although I cannot seen pilot or passengers from external view. Went to the special pop up panel while engines were off and can see the weight changes with different choices. Just cannot actually see the people I "load". . I must be doing something wrong. Overall I love this plane!
  8. That is very strange. I re-downloaded my purchase link from FSPilot shop yesterday morning and it was in fact the update version.
  9. Ahh, yes Meshman - I see that. However it was a non-standard paint. My grandparents lived next to Whiting NAS in Milton FL where Navy pilots first learned to fly these after completing Primary at Saufley. I went through Aviation Officer Candidate School in Pensacola and was comissioned as an Ensign in the 70's. I saw a lot of these although have no hours in type. I also looked back at my old photos and a booklet on the North American T-28 Trojan written by Steve Ginter and see no logos like that. This in no way diminishes this great piece of work! The Ginter book BTW is an excellent reference for this bird. Many photos, schematics and historical information on the Trojan. Bill
  10. This is indeed a absolutely great product - and at a super price. The only thing I see on the Navy version (and this is a minor thing) is that on the upper wing, the NAVY logo is facing the wrong direction. In actuality most of the Navy T28s in the 1970's did not have the logo on the upper side of the wing at all - only the underside. I can't wait for the squadron specific repaints. Thanks for your great work Anthony! Biil
  11. I'm with you! I don't like the thunder sound played each time I load. I save it as "off" in the options panel but each time I come back, there it plays again!! Bill G
  12. I thnk I found the problem, reading a response Ray wrote someone in the FS Developer Community forum. Seems I recompiled the objects file and lost the original model therin. I was testing some of this by trying to use the recompiled file, and forgot to remove it. All of this because something in the newly updated OBJ file crashes my FSX when loading a flight from Denver. I am sure it is a conflict I have self-inlicted in my file/ folder usage and will continue to research. As I mentioned, I don't have a problem when I use the 2009 version of this work.
  13. Gents, I uploaded another great avcad by Ray Smith and can see many of you did also! It looks very nice and seems more FPS friendly than his older file. However, I am having a problem in that I have some orphaned jetways at the Frontier Terminal and the SouthWest terminal. I followed Ray's instructions regarding copying the 2 jfkjetway files. Could I be missing textures or objects necessary? I looked at the associated OBJ.bgl file using Airport Designer (and was careful not to put anything back into the sim). I noticed some objects for jfkjetway02. Could this be the source of my problem and is everyone else seeing all jetways connected? I am stumped, and any ideas are appreciated!.
  14. What helps me a lot without having EZDOC etc, is that I went to the FSX controls screen and mapped two of my joystick switches on the Eye-point (move Left) and the Eye-point (Move Right) commands. Enable the slider bar on the right hand side of each line, and the viewpoint will scroll as you press the desired switches (or keys). These work great for me and I am able to easily adjust upper panel without all the tilting. I also sometimes use it to slide over to the copilot seat in VC forward view if I want to look out the right side window! I also mapped two keys (Num2, and Num 8) to the (Move Up) and (Move down) commands which sometimes helps to adjust panel height as you may like it.. Hope this helps. regards, Bill Gustafson
  15. Anybody able to get FSXFollow to work? I followed directions, installed the two recommended files which would be searched for. I am getting connection to FSX and logging of all data is showing with constant updates. However my AC is not showing up on the aircraft screen. There are some I don't own. Was thinking these are for demo. If this thing only works for adventure flights I am going to be disappointed. What kind of performance hits should one expect if this app is viable? Thanks, Bill Gustafson
  16. Thanks All,I will pursue checking out MyTrafficX, perhaps re-install it. I know this crept in sometime this year, and I don't ever remember reading that anyone else had the issue!
  17. Thanks.I found two add on scenery files. One for Navy Pensacola. One for Austin. I unchecked both, then deleted the files and rebooted. Still having the issue. San Anonio KSAT only has Rwys 12/30 and 3/21 yet ATIS is calling 5R,5L,6R.6L,7R,7L,8R,8L,9R,9L,12R,12L. But no 30R or 30L. I once upon atime used WOA traffic. Now using MyTraffic X latest version. Maybe this is an Airport file issue? I dont know where ATIS gets the runway data. Not a big issue, but if anyone has an idea that would be great. Regards,Bill
  18. Thanks to all. I will double check for any afcads. If I have any at all there would have been few and perhaps done a couple of years ago. I don't like to add airport scenery. I will report back if I can confirm. Thanks again!
  19. Hi all, I am the OP and was probably not very clear. First of all i have no add on scenery or avcads etc of any kind. This problem just started fairly recently. IAtis is trying to specify approaches to a sequential, non existent string of runways. Each runway named is an increment of one greater than the last. For example 16,17,18,19,and so forth. The winds given seem logical. I just exit out of ATIS as it is gibberish. I have to believe some reference file or pointer is corrupted. I was just wondering if anyone had seen this or had ideas what to look for. I am not going to reinstall everything for just this as overall I have a fairly decent performing I5-750 and can run both of the new 737 products with very few issues.!
  20. Recently I have noticed ATIS referencing non existant runway (visual approaches) that don't exist in several airports. For example KSAT has Rwy 12/30, and 3/21. ATIS is telling me rwy 5 visual, rwy 6 visuak, rwy 7 visual, and the like. Has anyone seen this? Wondering if a file like "airports" or something got corrupted. I have used Ultimate Terrain and Ground Environment for years with no problem. Only recent adds are the two 737 products which I really like. This problem occurs even with default AC like the C172. I am stumped -any ideas?
  21. It sure seems quiet on the EagleSoft front. I hope some of Santa's elves have been diverted to help work on the version 2.0 of CJ1 for FSX. I keep checking that coming soon link at EagleSoft waiting for it to be active!http://www.eaglesoftdg.com/Coming_Soon.htmBest wishes for the Holidays!Bill Gustafson
  22. I am rebuilding a PC after many years of running a pentium 4. Most years I have just upgraded parts but now its time for an almost complete new build. I bought a new mobo, PS, case, mem and vid card, as well as an Intel I5-750. I am planning on re-using my existing hard drive, and sound card. Do I really have to re-format and re-load XP all over again, or can I just update bios settings on the initial post bootup? I know the best thing, but is it also a requirement for the new systm to run? Thanks for your help. I have learned a lot about the current state of tech by reading your great comments.
  23. Mine performs pretty smooth. I have an outdated P4 2.8 with 1.5Megs Ram on an Asus P4S800Motherboard, an ATI X1600Pro 512 MB video card driving a Samsung 21.6" SynchMaster 2253 flat screen LCD (2ms response). I dont use autogen, I do use Ultimate Terrain X and Ground Environment. I usually fly in less populated regions of the country, and lock frames at 18. The Twin Commance and Citation CJ1X also perform well for me. I am satisfied enough to wait for the next version of FS before upgrading my equipment. My needs are not as great as some and I am verry happy for now. I have over 80 hour real world in the 152 and this one feels pretty realistic within FS limitations.Bill G, KSAT
