  1. You surely meant 8 months, right ? (and I'm not claiming the pics I found were the first ones released)
  2. No, I clearly remember seeing pictures of helicopters, european countries, etc... at least 6 months before FSX release.Just as a proof, here's a link from february 2006, have a look at the title of the FSX preview pictures (Switzerland, France...) :http://forum.simflig...t-of-this-week/And you can find many more on the net. It's a fact, the PR for Flight is NOT the same as the PR for FSX. I agree with Jacoba, some people just want to make a point by changing history and trying to convince us that the PR for Flight is the equivalent of the PR for FSX we had months before release. It's simply not the case. Now, there might indeed be the entire world pictured in Flight, and eventually we might all be happy... but what they're doing here -again, from a PR point of view- is nonsense. We are not speaking about a movie trailer, which has to be a right blend of teasing you with bits of scenes/dialogue and leaving you wanting to see more of the story, we are speaking about a sim (or game, as you want ) with no storyline. It's not as if they could spoil us by showing pictures of London or Paris, or even jets, right ? On the contrary, it would only feed our urge to switch to have a serious look at this new version and eventually switch as soon as it's released. What I'm just wondering is :- What is their goal by releasing only pics of Hawaï and the same planes all over again ?- Would there be any negative effect of showing pictures of the worldwide scenery now ? (there must be another area of the world which is complete by now)- Is there any marketing strategy other than to say "tadaaaaa !" a few weeks/days before release when they finally show us pictures of the Flight world ? (which is really some kind of a PR joke) The only 2 answers I can get to now are either Flight is going to be initially a Flight Unlimited type of sim (with future region addons sold in the marketplace most probably), or that we were completely fooled about the release date, and the game is still in very early development stage (...then looking at a possible 2013 release) If someone has better answers to these questions, which are often overlooked on this recurrent topic, feel free to share Deniz
  3. Al,I have this excellent aircraft (-100 version) but was reluctant to buy the Freighter one since the FDE is the same than that of the 100 (so it means getting an underpowered plane at the weights used for the 200F). Can you point me to the tweaking guides you talk about please ?Deniz
  4. Thanks, Robert !Does the gold star come with a beta test entry right ? :( :(
  5. Great update ! Did anyone noticed the Vertical Situation Display in the penultimate picture ? :( Denis
  6. Hello BryanA few weeks ago, I asked you if there'd be a voice edition of FS2Crew for the MD-11 (and the 747X), you told me that it depended on the success of the default 737 version.Without revealing any commercial info, can you tell us if the latter was considered a success and if you have decided that you will port these types of version over the MD-11 & 747X ?Thanks a lotDeniz
  7. I would like to thank Serdar Nuzhet for his wonderful LTBA 2009 scenery for FSX ! :)I heard that AES will be included for this freeware airport ?? That would be great :)Thanks,Deniz
  8. That would be really great ! :) (and for the MD-11 too :()Wish you the best,Deniz
  9. Il faut attendre la fin de l'année pour la version Mega Airport d'Aerosoft qui elle claquera c'est sûr, au vu de la qualité des autres Mega Airport :)Deniz
  10. Hello allI just bought the Ejets CD version... runs really nice, very enjoyable airplane...But when I installed it I noticed the filename of the installer was "Ejets_FSX_v15" so that means that it is the SP1.5... and there is a SP1.6 available at Wilco's website. The problem is, Wilco states it is for the download version only :http://www.wilcopub.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=support_ejetsWhere can I download the SP1.6 for the CD version ?When I try to go to the downloads section of Wilco's website, it asks for an email + password which I don't have (even though I registered the product)Thanks for your helpDeniz
  11. Hello all,I found one of their developper website, and he states that they resumed working on it :http://www.metzgergva.de/default_e.htmBut apparently this time it would be a CRJ700/900...10-01-2009 Not much happened in terms of flightsim on my side. After the Fokker we at Digital Aviation have started to work on the CRJ 700/900. So this is now in the phase of having designed the first basic layout of the flight dynamics.Deniz

  16. Hello,Do you know if there are any updates for the E-jets addon - boxed version ? Because on Wilco's site it states that the update is for the download version only :http://www.wilcopub.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=support_ejetsThanks,Deniz
  17. Fly The Maddog 2008 pro (well, maybe not for christmas, but for the end of deecmber as they say...)Deniz
  18. Hello PMDGIs it possible to have a complete list of the failures possible with the MD-11 ? I know there are a lot, like 150, but it would be very interesting...I wanted to know specifically if you can get a fuel related failure (fuel leak for example)ThanksDeniz
  19. >Speaking as an ex MD-11 mechanic, the cause of it's demise as>a passenger plane was the fuel burn issues caused by the>engines not the airplaneExactly. Craig, you ommited the major reason for the MD-11 failure : the underperformance of the engines delivered.MD did count on these engines, like every manufacturer, in the performance calculations. But it appeared that they burned more fuel than expected, thus reducing the MD-11 range. No one can tell that the MD-11 was a bad concept initially, just look at the order book before these problems were discovered, with airlines like American, Swissair, KLM, Singapore Airlines committed to it...If these engines would have been ok, we would have seen a bunch of MD-11 in SIA colors. The order cancellation from SIA was completely related to the engine performance problem, and a key loss for the program. The fact that some of the most successful airlines ordered it back in the days is a proof that the concept was very attractive :)By the way, the AA flight 191 DC-10 accident, even if it was awful, didn't have a role in this : American were among the first to order the MD-11.And the main design problem of the DC-10, the 3 hydraulic lines running at the same point near engine n
  20. >Hi Pete>I have the clear images if you wanted.>[email protected]>>Regards,>MoDez>>Hi MoDezIs it possible for you to upload the images somewhere on http://www.imagehost.org/ for example ?I'd like the images too :)ThanksDeniz
  21. Hello Pete,Would you be able to repaint a prototype livery for the MD-11 please ? :)I think it would be cool to do circuits and go around to get used to this airplane in this particular livery :)http://md-eleven.net/phy/clim/49303/CH6-8a.jpgHere are some other photos :http://www.airliners.net/photo/McDonnell-D...&next_id=NEXTIDhttp://www.jetphotos.net/viewphoto.php?id=7032&nseq=1Thanks a lot !Deniz
  22. HelloThere is already a A300 project soon to be finished from Next Level Simulationhttp://www.nextlevelgfx.de/a300/a300_vc089.jpgAs for myself, can't wait for the mighty MD-11 !! :DDeniz
  23. NASA also tested succesfully a PCA (Propulsion Controlled Aircraft) system for the MD-11 (and th F-15) :)So in that case, if you lose all hydraulics (thus the flight controls) the system automatically transform the output of your yoke into power settings to turn, climb, descend... kinda like a Sioux City scenario piloted by a robotLink : http://www.dfrc.nasa.gov/Gallery/Photo/MD-...HTML/index.htmlDeniz
  24. HelloJust to get an idea, what is the average new shipping price to send it to Europe ?I don't have an account on the PMDG website and for some reason I can't create one for the time being...Thanks Deniz
