  1. :( :( That's exactly what I thought too when I discovered WOAI!
  2. Hi, Red,"Fate is the hunter by Ernest Gann"I just got it myself so I can't say what it's about in detail but it was recommended by a friend (also Avsim member) who has great taste. It seems to suit what you're looking for. Also, I've found Ask the Pilot by Patrick Smith to be an extremely pleasant read. Looking for those on Amazon you should come across plenty more in the same range.
  3. Always with the FMC unless in GA aircraft.
  4. COOL!I was just checking out the new entries in the library. In this case my next flight is LOWW-EPWA :(EDIT: Of course, great job, Mateusz, thanks for the contribution!
  5. Vroute is great for detailed flight plans and routefinder is very practical when you're in a hurry.
  6. I'll be starting my new job tomorrow at a French car-leasing company.Great to know more about the members we get to see here :(
  7. Nice video, what's with the LTBA Dep/Arr/Twr frequency in the background? :(
  8. Christoffer Peterson's set works best for me. I have added bits and pieces off other sets too so take a look at a few before you choose one. Also, look for more realistic radio altimeter callouts and trim sounds in the library too.Oh, and Emil Serafino's latest package for the NG is quite good too. (The best cockpit sound in my opinion)
  9. COOL! Let me get my Westjet NG warmed up :( Btw, great job on those high def taxiway and runway textures, Al, I absolutely love 'em. :( For those interested, you can get them on the flightontario site (and you should!)
  10. Agreed with everything above! Also, add this soundpack to it and it will even be better:http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID...amp;DLID=109636
  11. I may have to disagree with you on FS real-world weather, Ed. After using the default online weather for years I finally got Active Sky a couple of months ago because I was fed up with getting "no" weather at places like LOWW, ENGM, LTBA, etc... The FS weather will only provide updates for these airports (and to many others) only once in every hour so after a few minutes it's back to clear skies, calm winds and 15C. How satisfied you are with the stock real-time weather probably depends on where you fly but I had to stop flying to these "dead spots" it was so annoying. Needless to say when I got ASV6.5 my FS was literally reborn. Now I can fly anywhere with genuine real weather, such a relief :( That said, I agree with you on the accuracy of the FS online weather, when of course it is able to retrieve it. The winds and visibility as well as the temperatures were most of the time quite accurate, at least in my experience. However, I must say Active Sky is on another level when it comes to clouds and gradual visibility. The radar feature also helps you plan your approach way before FS ATC gives you clearance.Matt, once you'll get AS working for you with all the correct settings, you won't be able to fly without it. Don't hesistate to post your questions here, the AS team provides great support.Hey, Mike, it's nice to see someone else who's enjoying the Real Air 172, too. Coupled with the TSS soundpack, it's amazingly fun to fly!
  12. Hi,This is an old thread I found to be very useful for improving my ground visuals:http://forums1.avsim.net/index.php?showtopic=245152&hlHope this helps
  13. Hi Paul,I'm not sure about this but it may be because the default FS layout doesn't include runway 02C. Apparently, your Airac cycle does. You could look for a re-worked AF2 file in the library with a center runway.Hope this helpsEDIT: I just took a quick look at the library, there seems to be more than a few options:http://library.avsim.net/search.php?Search...d&Go=Search
  14. Probably because at the time PMDG made the 737NG series Tarom wasn't operating NGs yet...? I remember spoting their 737 CLs here at LTBA in the early 2000s
  15. Vraiment incroyable, superbe cet engin!Par contre ils ont l'air Norvégien ces grands gamins, vu la registration "OY"
  16. Also for better written SID/STAR files look here:http://planepath.com/html/pmdg.htmlFor the US, look for Dan Downs in the library.
  17. That is the only reason that comes to my mind too, there may be in fact an overlapping Afcad file somewhere in the senery files. Maybe the AF2 files are in a separate folder in the Spanish Airport scenery, I truly can't say anything...?Try this, change the runway assignments, set the landings on 15L/R and the take-offs on 18L/R, see what happens. :(
  18. OK,How about the ATIS message, does it say that runways 18L and 18R are in use? This is odd, if I'm able to get it to work so should you. I don't think there is any hardcoding in the AES scenery.Does it work in the north configuration?
  19. It might be the way your runways are tied that is causing the problem. Here is mine:
  20. Nicholas,One of the best features of WOAI is that it doesn't install itself anywhere sneaky on your harddrive, you can run the installer from wherever you want. It just basically unzips the package and puts the files in the necessary folders, nothing more.I hope you solve your problem and get to enjoy WOAI!
  21. I just did a quick test with the winds blowing from 160 at 16 in the south configuration Afcad.AI took off from 15R, being close to the Terminal areas and landed on 18L. I observed no landings on either of the 15s.I suspect there are conflicting afcad files in your case. FS won't read the .bgx extension for sure but try doing the north/south configuration manually. And re-check the runway assignments in those AF2 files, just in case.I'm not running the same scenery as you but it should work at your end too. :(
  22. Hi,Just to be sure, you only have one AF2 file in the scenery folder, right?
