  1. I'm not sure you understood my question. I just wonder if there's a visual arc in GTN750 showing where the i.e. descend ends. Like in Aerobasks Skyview. Or the navigation display in a 737. That way you can set v/s exactly to where you want to level out in a descent. I will not use GTN750 for setting the descent or climb since it's not possible :). After 20 yrs of flight simming, I know very well how to manage a flight properly in most aircraft. From Cessna 172 to FFA320 or Zibo 738X. In this case, I'm using the GTN750 in the Turbo Commander 690B and it should be nice to set the specific level in v/s at arrival to a waypoint in the star. The inbuilt v/s calculator in GTN750 is not precise enough and you often end up several nm ahead or behind.
  2. Hi, is it possible somewhere in the settings to get arcs when climbing or especially when descending? I have the latest version of GTN750 in my X-plane Turbo Commander 690B and it works great.
  3. Boeing 737 pilots call speedbrakes/spoilers for noisemakers because of the low efficiency :).
  4. It's interesting to see people comparing old FSX or P3D with addons for hundreds or more dollars with vanilla X-Plane. FSX weather in vanilla mode is horrible and for a while a couple of years ago, you could not even get online weather since the servers was broken for a long period of time. I have done the step over to X-plane about a year ago, and I'm not looking back. I had well over 1000 dollars of addons worth, but was fed up with microstutters and cartoon ground colors. And the absolutely flat runways... There are tons of freeware from gifted users in X-Plane and the only thing I've invested in is xEnviro and Aerobasks fleet of GA plus FF A320 U. Zibo B737 is for free. And not far from PMDG's B737.
  5. Why don't use Little Navigator Map? Here you have a fantastic tool, including moving maps, easy to make flightplans including sid/start, weather from NOAA, all kinds of info regarding com, airways, airport facts and so fort. Flightplans can be exported to more or less all kind of aircraft in X-plane and is represented in Navigraph for updating AIRACS. And it will show you top of descent if you are flying GA. You can check the weather at destination even before take off. The best thing?: IT IS FREE!
  6. I just made a flight with 2/3 passengers, 2300 kg load of cargo and 8300 kg fuel. I got Vr134 with 55 for flex.
  7. Hi, Above posts make me wonder if you really fly the FFA320 correctly or maybe not setting up the flights correctly. Real pilots are used as beta-testers. Holds are present etc.etc. I recommend watching the signature "Reflected Reality Simulations" flights in FFA320 on YouTube. He is a real pilot in a A320. And an excellent instructor. He shows every step he takes in an easy to follow way. FWIW, FF A320 is still in beta.
  8. Or you can use options to adjust the rate of descent. In my case, it's adjusted to FF Boeing 752. And it works fine.
  9. In my opinion, you'll get the best clouds with xEnviro combined with XEnviro experimental clouds 1.2 in res 4096 x 4096. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1-TCtCpfsXVRH0DYLiJVfJOuMIyXlJ6ov/view?usp=sharing Regards,
  10. I don't use X-Camera. XP Realistic Pro works fine without it. You just uncheck the box in XP Realistic Pro for using X-Camera. In my opinion, XP11 built in views and use of the numpad easy to-do settings individually for each aircraft (10 views!) is more than enough for my demands. And I use the mouse right-click hold all the time together with the wheel zoom. Double-click right mouse and you can pan all around you and zoom with the wheel simultaneously. Very quick and handy. Regards,
  11. I'm using it for X-plane 11 all the time. Especially for flight-plan creation and the moving map. I admit it takes some time to find the ways in the program, but after a while or two, you discover how great it is. I was using EFB by AivlaSoft for many years in FSX before I converted to X-plane and thought it was the best thing since sliced bread. FS-FlightControl is on that level and has much more features that actually bring more to the simming than many high-level add-ons do together. One thing: By right-clicking everywhere, you discover new things. For example: Right-click in the map on an airport and you find out SIDs/STARs you can try out, weather conditions and general info for the airport in question and much more. Same goes for VORs, NDBs etc. It must be great for IVAO, Vatsim and PilotEdge pilots, as you have full cover in the moving map of ATCs, Airspaces and of course other fellow pilots moving on the map. Remember that the X-plane module is still in Beta! Still it works like a charm and is updated all the time. Actually got an update today! The only thing I don't like is the black menu design, but I can live with that :). Maybe I can change it but haven't discovered it yet. Regards,
  12. Start up FS-FlightControl. Go to the "Settings" menu. Up to the left, click on "Simulator Related Settings" box. Then click on "Simulator" in the top menu. Then click "Create New Simulator" box. Then follow the procedure. (Always run "Build database" for new stuff in the simulators) When all is done and FSX is up and running, you may notice that FS-FlightControl is looking for X-Plane to connect. Up in the right corner, right click on "Connecting to X-Plane/Disconnected" and choose FSX. When in doubt, use the question-mark. Regards,
  13. Here is how I create a flight plan in FS-FlightControl: 1. Go to Flightplan menu 2. In the box to the right: check "Use SIDs/STARs 3. Click if you want high or low airways or none 4. Click on: departure airport and then runway for T/O. 5. Click on: arrival airport and then runway for landing 6. Click on: Calculate Airway Route 7. Accept OK for automatic sids and stars. 8. Voilá. It takes around 10-15 sek if you check the weather for runways before you start the planning. Then you can save it either in the program itself or export it as a .fms-file to Xplane. There is a lot of nice features in FS-FlightControl. You can rightclick on an airport on the map and visually see how sids and stars goes from the runways. It's easy to delete or add waypoints in the ready flightplan if you want to edit before flight. And when you go to the map there is a useful "Height"-map if you are flying over mountains to find out the correct altitude. I can go on even more with all the features. But why not test the trial? Example made flightplan in 10 sek ESSA to EKCH: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B-CyDEwJJAvgZmRFcjNnMWxLQ00
  14. I have the FS-FlightControl. It's a bit pricey but well worth every cent. It's excellent for flight-planning with sids and stars, have a great map and a lot of features. You can use it both on your sim PC or networked. I'm using it on the same PC as the sim, but can't see any loss in FPS. Best of all, it works both on FSX-SE, FSX, Prepa3d and XP11. From the same install! So going from XP to FSX and back is no problem. You just start it up and click on the actual alternative you are running. Q8 on youtube has a video published where he shows the features. Here: https://www.fs-flightcontrol.com/en/ Regards,
  15. Hi, You can adjust the visibility with 3jFPS-wizard by jörn-jören jörensön if you want less haze. You can find it on X-plane.org. When using it, you also get better fps. I've been using it since it was released and it really works great. And best of all - it's free. I have no problems at all with haze in XP11. Of course, xEnviro adds haze with limited visibility to mirror real weather conditions - that's ok. Try it - if you're not happy with it just delete it from your HD. Regards,
  16. Here you go... http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/files/file/36925-rendering-options-for-xp11/ Regards,
  17. Thanks for an amazingly swift answer :) Forget about the import trouble I thought I had. I have found a quick way to import saved (old) .txt based flightplans from a320neo flightplan folder. I simply double-click on the file and it opens in Notepad. I just copy the string and paste it in FP Import. It takes around 5-10 secs to do that. Perfect. And the FPL is ready to go. Concerning the late t/d's, I have to test out more flights. I'm still a newbie in P2ATC and am likely to do something wrong before I get it right. Another thing: After I vacated the runway I expect tower to transfer me to ground for taxi to gate. But nothing happens, and I can't find it in the SayIt menu or ?+. Is it not implemented yet? Regards from Stockholm,
  18. Hi, I am using XP 11 and have read the P2ATC manual from first to last page. I have the P2ATC on a networked PC and it works very well with XPUIPC and XPWide client. I really like the map and all the features in the program. I have XP11 in the main speakers and P2ATC in a light headset. BUT - I still have to find out how to manage the flightplans. I am flying the a320neo airbus most of the time. And the flightplans for the airbus is in text-format. The routine I use is to first create the flightplan in P2ATC. Then export it. Then I can load it into MCDU. Should I the next day start this flight I can't import it to P2ATC again. Since there's no .txt format in import. I have to save it in P2ATC also, in it's own internal format. I have a lot of txt-based flightplans for a320neo I can't import. Maybe I'm doing something wrong? I hope it will be fixed in the next update. One thing I noticed is the t/d comes very late, even when cruise and GS is set correct. Also I expected to get STAR and approach before I actually entered the STAR. I had to request descend and load the STAR before APPROACH contacted me. When requesting descend I got 2500 ft (from FL290) but when APPROACH came in I had to stay at FL200, and it was way too high so I had to follow the constrains in STAR not to overshoot the runway. Also, is it possible to get frequencies and flightlevels in digits instead of written words in the textbox? It should be a great help for a non english speaking pilot :). It's easier for the eye to find. But overall I find P2ATC being a fantastic software. Well done. And I will, when trial is over, get the licens. Then I can use it both in FSX and X-plane. Regards,
  19. The other day I noticed Windows Defender found a virus in rxpGtnSim32.dll. Of course I realized it's not correct. But now GTN750 is not working. I suppose Win Defender deleted the file. How can I get it back? And where should it be located? Will it work just by reinstall GTN750? Regards,
  20. I always use VC and use Opus for DHM and ASN as weather engine + Rex Soft Clouds. Works fine in any plane in my hanger. And it's easy to adjust the shake and vibrations in Opus.
  21. Where can I find the new update to Pipistrel? I checked my account at X-plane.org but nothing. Yesterday I watched the Youtube video of Mario Donick flying from Innsbruck to Lugano and he have the new MFD installed. Can someone point me to the download please...
  22. Hmm.. suddenly APU is working when FO starts it in preflight. He is learning... :)
  23. I have that problem with APU not starting aswell, and would also like to know the solution. When I'm starting first flight cold & dark FO seems to only make one "click" instead of two when starting APU so I have to be there and restart it. I have version 1.4 and so far everything else works just fine. It's less than 24 hrs since I intalled it :Just Kidding: and already I have made 5 flights. Now I will test some GA's. Jan Bergwall
