  1. Is there a way to park the ILS Nav radio on a NPA if the runway has a ILS frequency?For example, last night I flew the NDB 07R to EDDF and the ILS radio autotuned the frequency. I've tried the delete key but I got prompted with the FMC message "Invalid Delete".I then changed the frequency manually but I find it annoying to have the manually tuned ILS frequency and course displayed on the EADI in a NPA. Deleting the manually tuned inputs places the ILS radio back in autotune and I get a LOC and G/P deviation scale on the EADI.Thanks in advance...
  2. One more note,You could fly a CDAP in V/S if you change the MCP to meters instead of feet. Some Navigraph nDAC charts show the MDA in both meters and feet, or you'll just have to make those caculations on your own.
  3. Dear PMDG,I wanted to congratulate you guys on a great aircraft. However Ive noticed a few minor issues.1) When operating near the north pole (higher than 84 degrees latitude to be more exact) the MD11 became very unstable swaying left to right almost uncontrollably. I then took the A/P out of NAV mode and changed to TRK HDG and resumed the flight without any other issues. Has this been heard of before or was I just operating the aircraft where it wasn't supposed to be?2) A slightly bigger issue Ive noticed was with the landing lights. I have installed the latest service pack update from the website and when I installed it, I had a issue. The landing and taxi lights appear at least 50 meters in front of the aircraft instead of in front of the nose making it extremely hard to see at night. Thanks in advance for the help.Specs:Win XP 64bitFSX SP2No other misc light or terrain addons to mention.
  4. I have a minor issue with the ILS on the 744X and the 744FX.I can tune ILS frequencies via the FMC but I cant seem to identify them. I looked at the EADI and I did have a ILS frequency tuned becauce i had the LOC and G/S deviation scale indications and when i went to the EFIS to change the EHSI to display ILS raw data, I had the DME and everything seemed to be working fine. However when trying to identify the frequency, I have no morse code signal to match it to the chart.On a side note I can identify VOR and NDB frequencies.Should I reinstall?
  5. I think the MD-11 is easier to set up from the cold and dark vs the 744x. Almost everything on the overhead is automatic..... All you have to do is turn it on :-lol.

  7. I couldint agree more... Airbuses are in high demand but from what was said above only a few great developers actually take the time to produce the best possible aircraft they can no matter what is is. PMDG is definitely one of these developers. Ill buy any product PMDG produces because I know I'm getting the best value for my money.The pricing is also in my opinion fantastic... Spending 80 dollars on a 744 is a heck of alot cheaper than running a R/W sim for 800 dollars an hour. Or buying the real plane for 80 million ( just a guess ).Bottom line is I'm happy with any aircraft PMDG decides to produce even if its not a Boeing. The more variation out in the market the better.

  10. Thats where I went to get on the 744 sim... I also did the 763, 762 and 752 sims which were all great!
  11. Youre welcome..Just remember to always activate and execute or the changes woulnt be saved or linked. If the problem presists, could you post a screenshot of the FMC's legs page?
  12. Well for starters youre missing the first waypoint for J98. You need a VOR or an Intersection to join the airway.When you select a new runway ( 14L in this case ) go to the Legs page of the FMC. The runway should be on one of the last pages. If the runway has a specified approach ( ILS, VOR, NDB etc ) then press the approipate LSK for the IAF.... Usually the first waypoint pass the discontinuity. That will place the IAF in the scratchpad of the FMC. Then press the LSK above the discontinuity to clear it. Activate then execute.As far as the "DES PATH UNACHIEVABLE" I think thats related to the discontinuity.

  14. To get rid of the Advisory, simply press the CLR or clear button on the bottom right corner of the FMC.... Once you pass that waypoint you shouldint get that message again.

  16. Thank you PMDG for modeling the MD-11... That has always been one of my favorite Boeing aircraft of all time ( right there with the 744 ) and I look forward to giving it tons of flight time....My credit card is waiting.

Yes a dreamliner would be really nice for MSFS but looking at it from a Developers prospective it might take alot longer to design this aircraft than most of us think because PMDG ( or anyone else for that matter ) does not have enough information to design this bird. Same goes for the A380. Why try to design something you don't know that much about???As far as the Airbus family is concerned, I'm glad PMDG is steping up to the plate to model these planes... Its been long over due to have a decent Airbus for MSFS....Really, I'll buy just about anything with the PMDG name slapped to it :-hah.
  18. I'm running two Nvidia 9600's. :-)I guess thats what I get when I buy Monitors that are on sale...... ( maybe they are on sale for a reason ).

  20. Found it..... It was either Force On or Off.... That didint change much either so I changed the screen resolution to 1024x768x32 and that seems to help......To bad that resolution sucks on a 22" widescreen LCD....... Sometimes I miss having a CRT monitor.
