LNAV majenta line drawing bug?
Hi, Was doing the SID MEDAM4N from LSGG today and noticed after flying over the first waypoint (D8GVA) that the majenta line started acting weird and turned into an unflyable "rollercoaster" line that doesn't look very good (see 2 images here)... At that point the AP starting becoming crazy trying to chase the GC604 waypoint and I had to resolve making a direct to entry in the FMC to ESAPI to continue the flight. Anyone else noticed some drawing problems on more complex SID and STARS? Thanks Anthony Brichart http://fsfiles.org/flightsimshotsv2/images/2015/04/05/2a656d.jpg http://fsfiles.org/flightsimshotsv2/images/2015/04/05/164631.jpg

Activation problem?
Hello, I have installed the 737 successfully and after loading it for the first time I have entered successfully my licence key. It then initialises but then after about 10 seconds the panel freezes. (I can still move with the mouse the hud for example but there is no data on it). When I reload P3D i am again asked to activate the airplane. *Before installing the plane I have run all simconnect from the P3D folder *I run the PMDG 777 without any problem Thanks for your help Anthony Brichart

ASN cannot control ambient weather
anthony500 replied to rene_1st's topic in The AS16 and ASCA | Active Sky | Active Sky Next | XPAX Support ForumI am running p3d v 2.5 without the hot fix and ASN SP2 on Windows 7 -64 I have given all the permissions to folders and subfolders. I have also run the SP1 and SP2 simconnect (not the RTM though) in the lib folder in p3d. Still doesn't work unfortunately

B777 Frame rates on P3D
Hi Thanks for your help! I can send you my configuration tonight. But I have no problem with the action of panning from left to right it is when I pan around in the cockpit while on a sharp turn for example and looking outside it gets quite sluggish. Once again the same action with the Dash 400 is night and day and so much smoother with much higher fps. So I doubt its my system, or cpu load no? But people have been reporting smooth performance even with 20-25 which I find hard to believe but am willing to give it a try of course.. Anthony Brichart

B777 Frame rates on P3D
Was really expecting more too here with P3D + PMDG but also quite dissapointed with the frame rates and hope this gets improved in a future update. I get about 25-30 fps (high settings with a strong system) which might seem ok but it is far from smooth and stutter free. When you start to pan around in the VC with the outside view it gets really sluggish for me. This is particulary deceiving knowing the price tag and the fact that with my same system and high setting I get easily 40 fps and more with the another highly complex aircraft which is the DASH q400. The additional FPS makes a huge difference for me in terms of smoothness on my system Anthony brichart

Bad Performance in P3D 2.5
Can't agree more than with the last posters. I have a good setup and get about between 25-30 constantly in the PMDG 777. Plenty of users are apparently satisfied with this but comparing to the 40-45 fps I get with the DASH 400, it is a night and day difference in overall smoothness and flight simming experience...

PMDG 777 is out for P3D!
Well for me it is precisely the right comparison as it shows that between two software with about same complexity one is much better optimized it seems... Particularly given the fact that the dash was even issued for P3D free of charge as well for FSX owners..this is a bit disappointing yes.. But of course if on your system 28-30 fpsis absolutely smooth with no stutters there no need to be disappointed

PMDG 777 is out for P3D!
Hi everyone! Just to give you guys an idea on performance... Installed the plane this morning and so far not very impressed by the performance in P3D. I only compare with Majestic Software Dash Q400 which is similar in terms of complexity. I run Win 8.1 64 , P3D 2.4, Rex 4 , FTX Global, FTX Vector, FTX Europe Open LC and airport FSDT Geneva (Switzerland) - every setting nearly maxed up expect traffic (which is 0 nearly) and lighting PMDG 777 -200 LR Sitting on the RWY in Geneva I get about 28-30 fps Dash 400 Sitting on the same RWY in Geneva I get about 45-48 fps. Once in the sky , just over Geneva the 777-200 at low altitude, it is also a much less smooth experience, there are stutters .... (in the air about 25 fps for the 777 and about 40 fps for the DASH with hardly never any stutters at all for the DASH) . Anthony

PMDG 777 + P3D = No Activation?
The problem happened to me although I was presented with the activation window and entered successfully my product key... Still black screens, no switch usable a drink blocked yoke. This is with win 8.1 64 and p3d outside program Files. Anthony Edit : Problem solved, reinstalled making sure I run the installer as administrator...

What fps to be expected with this system ( when using PMDG 777 )
Hi all , based on the tutorial setup I get on the ground 55fps in Male and about 35 fps in Dubai with unlimited fps set ( this is using for both airports the payware software mentioned in the tutorials) and with the usage of REX. FSX Configuration is exactly as per PMDG guide and is running on a fresh FSX install and fresh install of Win 7 64 bit ultimate. Absolutely no FSX. Cfg tweak, apart from the ones mentioned in the PMDG guide. My system is i7 4770 k at 4.3 ghz, 660 ti and 8 gb ram. Have fun everyone

FPS. What FPS do you get?

Reducing stutters and getting faster texture/autogen loading
Hi there I have a similar setup with a newly i7 950 OV to 4.2 GHZ, 6gig DDR3 but a 9600 GT. I have tweaked the .cfg file as per this post and limited the FPS with the external limiter set to 20 and still get stutters. But I also have a HD 5770 videocard on another PC in the house and with that video card the sim with the MD-11 is flawless (virtual cockpit, AA on, sliders set to 90%, loaded in EGLL I get about 25 fps on the ground and nearly no stutters). Can't wait to buy a GTX 570 ;-)anthony brichart

MD11 FCOM weight tables
Hi everyone,Has anyone from PMDG ever replied to this as I am looking tonight at the official weights (MZFW, MLW, MTOW) from boeing regarding the Md-11http://www.boeing.com/commercial/airports/acaps/md11sec2.pdfAnd what really bugs me is that I can't find any really correspondance from those official given values to either the FSX MD-11 or MD-11 F we have. For example our load manager gives us (in lbs) :MZFW = 430'000MTOW = 630'500MLW in the sim gives =458'000The MTOW is optional from 602'500 to 630'500 on every model (included to F) so this can be justified but the MZFW of 430'000 is only for the combi and our load manager clearly simulates a passenger MD-11 and not a combi with 6 pallets lol .Also the MLW of 458'000 is also only from the combiThe cargo version has the same problem:In our loud manager:MZFW: 461'300MTOW: 630'500In the official date the MZFW is 451'300.- . Well maybe I am missing something lol and sorry if this sounds picky but I find it surprising that for a such complex add-on the weights seems mixed up between different models.. which one did PMDG really model ??also on page 3 of the new tutorial in the NAV log the MTOW is at 602'500... lol even more confused now...thanks for any explanation.. :-)anthony brichart
