  1. When these mods are applied do they affect a single livery or all of them?
  2. vc10man The reason is probably that I usually start FS2Crew with the Before Start Checklist. I don't go through the first 20 or so minutes where apparently the doors take care of themselves. Hope that solves the puzzle.
  3. Found the solution. If your timing is a bit off on the shift+E+2 command for closing the baggage door, it disables the left engine throttle. The fix is to just hit the E key and throttle operation returns to normal.
  4. I am using the E+2 combination to close the baggage doors. This is a default setting. Do I have to change it?
  5. I am having a problem with the button control for the Pro version. Not always, but most of the time, after pushback and starting to taxi, my joystick throttle control only moves the right lever, not both. Prior to those steps both would move. Obviously this aborts the rest of the flight. Any idea what might cause this? Thanks Roger
  6. Tried the F2 F3 approach but still kind of jerky. I sent a note to Carenado advising that setting the Condx levers at 3 or 4% seemed to slow things down a bit without affecting normal flight in the slightest. They said would consider an update.
  7. I love the aircraft but it taxis like a Jack rabbit with the throttles at idle. Have tried the LUA DynamicFriction but doesn't seem to have any affect. Anyone have any ideas. Thanks Roger
  8. Be aware that setting the VS with the trim wheel before takeoff will not work if you are using Burt's mod. You have to click VS once airborne. It only appears to work in the unmodified version.
  9. Very well done. She is a joy to fly.
  10. Worked fine for me the one time I used it.
  11. Try setting Alt Sel and IAS before takeoff. Works for me.
  12. No problem with 1.6 here. Out of KSEA for 3000 ft and it leveled off just like it should and has been doing with the latest updates.
  13. Richard According to the chart for rwy23 at KPVD, you should intercept the GS at wpt CUSKA at an altitude of 1900 ft. This point is 5.7 miles from rwy 23 at an angle of 227 degrees. If you are at or slightly below 1900 ft and within 30 degrees either side of 227 and tuned to 109.3 you should be OK.
  14. Re the Capture of GS. It works pretty much like every other aircraft. Tune NAV 1 to the ILS frequency, insure LOC1 is selected and approach the glideslope from below at a 30 degree angle or less. When in range click the APPR button. Once the GS is captured, add final notch of flaps and gear. Adjust the throttle to hold it. Should function properly unless you are reading your charts incorrectly. Re the extreme range of opinions. The product is what it is. The opinions are based on the perceptions of the individual user and the type of flight simmer he is and his experience. Some like to just fire up the aircraft and go fly. Other are more in the middle and deal with navigation elements and flight control considerations. Still others have to spray air freshener in the cockpit before flipping every switch and making every radio call. The point is that one mans meat is another mans poison and neither should affect the decision to purchase or bypass the product. You just have to wade through the clutter of information/misinformation and decide for yourself if the aircraft will suit your particular needs. For some it will. For some it wont.
  15. It's a continuing source of amazement to me re the extreme range of opinions on this aircraft and others. Makes you wonder if we are all talking about the same plane. Were their some glitches when it first came out? Yes. Fine. SP1 has cured most of them. Is the plane a perfect representation of the Hawker 850XP. No. Not many FSX planes are. Is it a good representation, fun to fly, and educational on some new systems? Yes. I bought the plane after SP1 and have had virtually no trouble with it. Through several flights, the FMS flight plan was followed accurately including the descent. The AP captured the glideslope normally and held it until touchdown. Are there some procedural differences? Yes. If you have had even a modicum of flightsim experience they are not hard to figure out even with the modest amount of documentation from Carenado. I am enjoying the Hawker and happy to have it in my hanger.
  16. Longrangecruise I did buy the Hawker and am really enjoying it. Have had no problems with AP or capturing the G/S. Once you figure out a few little quirks its really not that much different.
  17. Does the taxi fix mean that the FSUIPC LUA script is no longer needed?
  18. Version 1.2. Well Done!!!!
  19. Sent mine also. Roger
  20. I just completed the first circuit at KSEA. My impressions are: Flight model is a lot more stable. Best landing yet. AltSel still does not work. Blew right through on climb out. It had been intermittent before. Could not descend with AP on. Set lower altitude, set AltSel, Set VS, Clicked pitch down and the plane pitched UP. Had to descend manually. APR and VLOC captured but the plane will still not hold the glideslope. RMI works great
  21. I haven't seen much trash-talk on this bird since SP1 came out. Is it a Buy or a Wait?
  22. I am having similar problems. 1. Sometime ALTSEL works and sometimes it doesn't. 2. During climb under AP or even at ALT, large heading adjustment cause the plane to dive. 3. It does not seem to hold the glide slope well. Throttle adjustment have little effect. 4. A bit wobbly on T/O and approach. 5. I note in the videos that Joe taxis with torque at 15. I have to go to at least 40 just to get it moving. Then have to back off quickly to avoid overspeed. I really like the airplane and hope some of these anomalies can be fixed
  23. Over the years I have accumulated a serious amount of aircraft in my hanger. According to my mood I will often fly just one plane for months while the others sit unused. I was wondering if all this unused content has any effect on performance. In Microsoft Train Simulator, for example, the number of routes did have the effect of slowing things down a bit. Does anyone know if a similar thing happens with FS9?RegardsRoger
