  1. Yup that is what I thought too, Bill. However the menu choice "Configure SLI, ... " has been replaced on my NVIDIA Control Panel by the line "Configure Surround, PhysX". Which perhaps means there is no longer a "Disable SLI" choice available. I guess it is time to go to the dreaded NVIDIA Forum.
  2. Many thanks for your prompt reply, Bill. Is there a simpler way than pulling the bridge between the two cards? or should I simply take the bridge off and leave it off for now?
  3. What should my affinity mask setting be for a pair of GTX780's please? I know SLI is not supported yet. My current setting is [JOBSCHEDULER] AffinityMask=14
  4. Just a final note from me. When I load P3D1 my SPAD setup screen shows in the bottom left hand corner "FSUIPC Status Connected" but in P3D2 the SPAD setup screen shows "FSUIPC Status Disconnected" I can happily wait for Pete's return, Bill.
  5. Thanks Mike, I have in fact installed 4.492 but for some reason I am not getting an Add-on Menu in P3D2 and therefore can not access or prove the FSUIPC installation.
  6. Would some kind person please provide a link to the FSUIPC download. Having trouble finding or perhaps I do not know the version number. Thanks.
  7. I have my sliders on maximum and thrown in FTX Global for good measure. AMAZING. I am going to fly all night.
  8. I am exactly where you are Arwen only older. But I will front up with the $199.00 even though it is a big hit.
  9. I am not going to enter into a discussion on USA Copyright law. If I could I would not be offering my professional opinion in this forum as you could not afford my fee. In fact of the tens of thousands of words that have been written, here and elsewhere, on this subject I have not knowingly read a single word from a qualified legal practitioner. I simply suggest that it MIGHT be possible for the copyright owner to license a third party, who currently sells gaming or flight sim products, to sell AND support Prepar3D to the gaming community.
  10. The Australian Blog Spot, AirDailyX is organising a petition to ask MS to release Prepar3D to the gaming community. If you are interested follow this LINK.
  11. Can you blame them? Would you want to draw the comments and at times vitriol that has been generated by hundreds of "gamers" in many forum threads in recent months?
  12. You are correct, of course. Sorry about that.
  13. As Arwen has pointed out if you do not have a DX11 capable GPU you will not be able to run P3D2. Generally this means a GTX600 series or better, or equivalent in another brand. Your "My PC" link in your signature does not reveal the specs of your computer.
  14. May I make a suggestion? Consider downloading and installing "Internet Download Manager". It costs a few bucks but is the best support software I have purchased for a long time. Definitely speeds up download speeds and overcomes corruptions.
  15. I don't think even you guys are going to escape the coming summer, which will be HOT. Perhaps consider raising your PSU to 1,000w or even 1,200w I am now very glad I did and I have power to spare for the two GPU's in SLI. Cheers, Mac
  16. Thanks Ray. I changed over and problem solved. Display lights now functioning normally. Well done. Mac
  17. Thank you Ray, I had not realised that before. I shall change to USB 2.0. Does this also apply if I am using the SPAD Drivers? Mac
  18. G'day gentlemen, many thanks for your input. Danny: I only have the three USB cables from the Saitek, plus a keyboard, mouse and WiFi dongle plugged into the hub. That has been the case without a problem for the last two years. I have however followed your instructions but I am afraid the fault remains. Bob: You make a good point. I will drag the multi meter out and check the supply voltage to the hub. We both know that faults of this sort can often be "coincidental damage". The worst thing that can happen now is that the fault disappears. LOL
  19. G'day everybody. I have just upgraded my GPU from a GTX680 to a GTX780 SOC'd. Now the display on my Saitek Pro Flight Auto Pilot is very dim. I use a Manhatten powered USB hub and have not got a clue where to look to try and solve this problem. All help very much appreciated. Thanks and cheers, Mac
  20. Thanks Andy, very good point. At the moment I am having a very serious problem trying to get a SC GTX780 working on my rig. So am hoping the release date is not tomorrow. LOL Cheers, Mac
  21. I think I can see the day when the LM forum is only available to purchasers of the Professional version 2.0. As I have mentioned before, do not be surprised if a third party becomes the vendor/supporter for P3D Ver 1.x.
  22. I am with you Rendi but my question really is whether it is possible to choose a GeForce Experience supported game setting for use with P3D?
  23. I have noticed that it is possible to tune some GPU's by selecting from a very long list of computer "games" when installing. So far I have not noticed that Prepar3D has received a mention. Can anyone tell me if P3D is on the "games" list for the GTX780? After all we know that the GPU is going to be the critical element in getting the best out of P3D. If there is not yet a mention for P3D, which "game" on the list would best align settings with Prepar3D Ver 2.0? Cheer, Mac EDIT: Before you get the flame throwers out, I am NOT asking for confidential info about Ver 2.0 simply a hardware setup question.
  24. First make quite sure you have the latest version of FSUIPC installed. Next move the aircraft across one at a time until you locate the aircraft that is causing the problem. Cheers, Mac
