  1. The Bristol Britannia by Jens Kristensen flies again after crashing and burning in P3D v2.x. A History of Flight group should be ecstatic.
  2. My Saitek panel AP works perfectly. Have just completed two ILS landings without a problem. Great little aircraft. Mac
  3. I have even got FSDiscover running in FSX on an old computer. FSX only exists so I can use FSD. I then export the plans into V2.2. Sad isn't it? Enough said ... Mac
  4. I ran a series of tests on my rig with SLI on/off and without being highly technical, because I am not, there is very definitely a performance boost using the hack that LM provided for using SLI. Sliders 20/30% higher and reduced stutters but not eliminated. Simply switching SLI on and off without the hack has virtually no performance effect on my machine. Mac.
  5. I think there are quite a few of us very unofficially testing SLI. It is working very well and a big performance improvement. Mac

    FSUIPC4

When you first install FSUIPC a screen will appear asking you to insert your name and password(s). If you have already installed once, simply install again and the registration screen will appear. I also believe you might be able to enter your reregistration details via the Sim Menu --> Add-ons -->FSUIPC --> About tab if you have already installed. I would also like to endorse what all the people above have said. A Flight Simmer should NOT be without a registered copy of FSUIPC no matter what sim you use. Mac
  7. Two ways to the same destination I think, Mitch? Mac
  8. I do not believe that MyTraffic is yet approved for v2.2. Having said that the only way I know of to overcome this problem is to open Notepad and save it blank to the P3D v2.2 folder as "fsx.exe". Worked for me. Mac
  9. If you are doing a fresh install of P3D on another drive you MUST uninstall via the Win 7 Control Panel, so that LM knows that the uninstall has been carried out. You will then need to reinstall on the new drive and re-enter your LM password. Now completely delete the Orbx folder on the drive you are vacating. Next do a reinstall of Orbx scenery using the triple installer versions. (See this list if you are flying P3D v2.2 http://www.orbxsystems.com/forum/topic/68566-master-list-of-all-p3d2-ready-orbx-products/): Orbx will locate your sim from the Registry, so simply select the version where you wish to install. Mac
  10. Thank you for your reply, Bryan. Yes there are six [windows] with FS2Crew in the Panel.cfg. The placement shows that they should appear in the top left of the Monitor, but they are not appearing. I have run the Aerosoft Airbus X A320/321 Configurator as Admin but can not find out how to display the FS2Crew Control Panel?? Pressing "C" on the keyboard which is assigned to "Autofeather (Arm/Off)" in the P3D Settings --> Controls --> Buttons and Keys Mac
  11. G'day all, I have the Aerosoft Airbus installed in P3D v2.2 running in SLI. I have also installed FS2Crew Aerosoft Airbus Button Control. I have allocated three new keyboard allocations, Alternate Static Source=V, Propeller Sync=M, Autofeather=C, as per the manual but I cannot see the Control Panel. It is not hiding behind the Menu at the top of the window. There are five Links to FS2Crew in the Aerosoft Airbus X A320/321 Configurator. I am using Windowed Mode and UAC is turned OFF. Assistance please, Cheers, Mac
  12. I don't know yet but I can tell you this, it is the first time I have been able to get an FMC/CDU to work the way it is supposed to on the tutorial flight, at my first attempt. But I am far from being and expert, just a drip under pressure.
  13. My frame rate fell about 20% when in the VC. Virtually no change in the 2D. I am using SLI Mac
  14. With pleasure, Pete. It is great to be able to give a little back occasionally. Mac
  15. G'day all. I decided the challenge of the BB Airbus might just be worth trying but I have hit a brick wall. I feel I have carefull read the Tutorial, loaded the FMC/MCDU correctly, installed the correct FSUIPC version and fueled up correctly. But I can not get the Austo Pilot to engage and very soon my Airbus goes round in ever decreasing circles and returns to the ground. CRASH. Some have said they have got this bird flying in P3D v2.2, so could you tell me how please? Thanks Mac
  16. Yes, suggest you now put the car on eBay and order a second GPU. SLI is a big performance boost and we are assured LM is working hard to make it even better.
  17. Has anyone got FSUIPC running in v2.2 configured to SLI using AFR-FriendlyD3D.exe to start the sim? I have tried but FSUIPC shows Not Registered. If I go back to Prepr3D.exe then FSUIPC is showing as registered. This is a particular problem with aircraft like the Black Box Airbus which need FSUIPC. I have asked Pete but have not found the answer yet? Mac EDIT: OK I have an answer from Pete. Make sure you are running FSUIPC v 4.931. First run P3D in SLI mode and confirm that FSUIPC is NOT registered. This will create two files FSUIPC4.AFR-FriendlyD3D.ini.and FSUIPC4.AFR-FriendlyD3D.log. Go to ../Locheed Martin/Prepar3D v2/Modules/and confirm the two files have been created. Now copy and paste the file FSUIPC4.key. Finally change the name of the new/pasted file to FSUIPC4.AFR-FriendlyD3D.key. Thats it. Start the sim in SLI and you should be good to fly.
  18. I think that the following thread may be of use. Just a note of caution. MyTraffic has not yet been released for P3D v2.2 and using is may cause some of your Taxiways to lose render. The AI traffic is not affected except that there are a lot of AI pilots pulling grass out of the undercarriage. http://forum.simflight.com/topic/75732-towards-mytraffic3d-v2-and-support-for-prepar3d-v2/
  19. It is far safer to do a complete uninstall of P3D v2.2 in the OpSys Control Panel and then reinstall and reactivate the program. Any other method of moving between drives can lead to all sorts of unforseen problems. Mac
  20. LOL ... I am using SLI now and have my AM set to 1364 which lifted my FPS by about 25%. Between the two, SLI and AM, I have an improvement of at least 50% in overall performance. Mac
  21. G'day, You do not say which version of P3D you have installed. If v2.2 then the download FTX Global version you need will is OrbxFTXGlobal110 AND OrbxFTXGlobal120. When you run FTXG 110 you will be asked to select FSX or P3D. Next run the upgrade FTXG 120 and you will be asked to select between FS, P3D and P3D Version 2. In each case the installer will check your registry for the correct drive. I have my P3D v1.4 installed on the G:\ drive and P3D v2.2 installed on the E:\ drive. The Orbx installer finds them without a problem. Mac
  22. I am not the best person to get involved in the fine technical detail, but I have two monitors plugged into one GPU and I have used the "Maximise 3D Performance" in the NVIDIA Control Panel. I usually fly using a main 22" TV monitor and "other windows" on the side monitor. I agree with Scott, my FPS at least doubled which allowed me to move the sliders to the right. I also run 50% AI Traffic. Very dense scenery areas like Orbx Melbourne pull the FPS below 20 in some places. Looking foward to a NVIDIA listing for P3D v2.2 now, but I am not brave enought to experiment without directions from a wiser person. Mac
  23. Stepping up to the LM hack and enabling SLI compatibility has been truly amazing. Adding AffinityMask=1364 for my rig added the icing to the cake. Very well worth aspiring to. This thread tells how to apply the hack. http://www.prepar3d.com/forum-5/?mingleforumaction=viewtopic&t=6352 Mac
