Not able to assing shift button
The "linda.exe" has the same timestamp as the actual download. Replacing the .exe did not solve it. But after copying the "linda" and linda-cfg" directories and overwriting the existing files the sub-menu appeared. Thank you for the support! Stephan

If you think you have found something that's not working.........
I got some issues using MCE 2.5.99 and the Majestic Dash8-Q400 1.00801-2-3: 1) "window heat on": window heat only switches to "warm up", never to "on" 2) "antiskid on": only the switch is flipped, but the antiskid warning still shows on the caution warning lights panel. 3) "transponder on": the Transponder remains in SBY mode. Could you please check and adress my problems? Regards Nepo

Its possible to wake the copilot commanding "pay attention" as mentioned by KingGhidorah. SP1 Button control problems
Hello Bryan, Thank you, it works now! As is reinstalled SP1C and FS2Crew 2 times before i don´t know why it didnt work the 1st time. The only difference is that this time i did not copy the old .ini-file into the "aircraft"-directory, but created a new one. Maybe this could be the cause for the problems!? Regards Nepo

SP1 Button control problems
Hello FS2Crew-Team! I used the 737NGX button control 1.0 without any issues not listed in the SP1 documentation for 10+ flights. After downloading (04.04.2012, 14 UTC) and installing the new FS2Crew version some problems occured. I uninstalled and reinstalled both FS2Crew and the PMDG NGX (SP1C) but the issues are still there. I´ve read the manual and the "ReadMe First.pdf"! - FO sets the parking brake - in 1.0 and according to the manual the PF should set the parking brake - FO sets the PF flight director - in 1.0 and according to the manual the PF should set the FD. - FO doesnt set the cruising level in pressurisation panel - the FMC is set up 100% and he did in 1.0 - During Preflight checklist the parking brake is set the FO tells me to "double check" - FO reads the fuel in pounds, the aircraft unit is set to kgs. - When telling the FO to start "engine 2" he tells me that the aircraft is not configured. Maybe you got any advise? Regards Nepo

Strange autoland behaviour at LEPA
Hello! This is a know issue at LEPA RWY06L/R. There is a very strong thermal. You can see it if you enable "thermal visualisation". Checking "Disable Turbulence and Thermal effects on aircraft" fixes it.RegardsStephan Balleis

Nepomuk replied to Lindy1958's topic in The AS16 and ASCA | Active Sky | Active Sky Next | XPAX Support ForumI just saw that there are two error messages during ASE startup........: I tried to reset the "wxmapping.bin" in the "Edit station data" tab, but it did not help. The errors are still there.RegardsNepo

Ocean Winds Aloft - FSX & ASE ver. 642
Nepomuk replied to Lindy1958's topic in The AS16 and ASCA | Active Sky | Active Sky Next | XPAX Support ForumOK, i just slewed to 4020N @ FL340 and the wind was just as predicted 270/42 even if the pseudo stations reported 00 kts.I will un- and reinstall ASE. Seems like ASE somehow lost connection to FSX.RegardsNepo

Ocean Winds Aloft - FSX & ASE ver. 642
Nepomuk replied to Lindy1958's topic in The AS16 and ASCA | Active Sky | Active Sky Next | XPAX Support ForumYes, they were 00kts using the Shift/Z readout and PROG page (767-300) in the FMC.Last atlantic crossing one month ago the winds were as predicted in the "briefing" tab. After entering european airspace with (real) stations the winds changed to the correct values.Nepo

Nepomuk replied to Lindy1958's topic in The AS16 and ASCA | Active Sky | Active Sky Next | XPAX Support ForumHello Jim,i can reproduce it without flying. The route is:KFLL PREDA AR10 ZAPPA WOLFO STIFF SNAGY OMALA M202 ONGOT L453 PAEPR LARGE DOVEY 4260N 4350N 4640N 4830N 4920N BEDRA NERTU GAPLI UN20 SAM UM140 DVR UL9 KONAN UL607 SPI UT180 PESOV T180 UNOKO EDDFThe winds were just gone over the ocean. Ocean Winds Aloft - FSX & ASE ver. 642
Nepomuk replied to Lindy1958's topic in The AS16 and ASCA | Active Sky | Active Sky Next | XPAX Support ForumHello Hifi-Team,i made the same experience flying from KFLL to EDDF on 24. June 2001 Takeoff Time 02:00 UTC.On the ASE Map screen the atlantic (pseudo)-station showed 000/00kt, although on the "briefing" tab, the forecast was correct for the interpolated stations (about 50kts from the west).Create Additional Stations and Enhance Route Coverage ckecked.RegardsNepo

Advanced(?) interpolation

Advanced(?) interpolation
Nepomuk replied to Nepomuk's topic in The AS16 and ASCA | Active Sky | Active Sky Next | XPAX Support ForumThank you Jim B. for your support!I dont know if the issue is related to the weighting. Its just a presumption - but there are interpolation errors.. Maybe its a problem related to northern winds?Another strange interpolation (northern winds reported, southern at the interpolated station):RegardsNepo

Advanced(?) interpolation
Nepomuk replied to Nepomuk's topic in The AS16 and ASCA | Active Sky | Active Sky Next | XPAX Support ForumHello Jim,without any math, what do you think the winds should be at LPFU? If the distance of the surrounding stations is weighted, the result should be closer to the values of LPMA. GCLA and LPAZ should have little influence. Here is my simple but correct math for the weighting:d1, d2, d3, d4: distance to stationsw1, w2, w3, w4: weight factor, w1+w2+w3+w4=1wX = 1 / (dX * (1/d1 + 1/d2 + 1/d3 + 1/d4))S1: 090@12 31 miles awayS2: 040@ 9 2 miles awayS3: 300@5 250 miles awayS4: 120@17 486 miles away.w1 = 1 / ( 31 * (1/31 + 1/2 + 1/250 + 1/486)) = 0,059 = 6%w2 = 1 / ( 2 * (1/31 + 1/2 + 1/250 + 1/486)) = 0,929 = 93%w3 = 1 / (250 * (1/31 + 1/2 + 1/250 + 1/486)) = 0,007 = 0,7% roundedw4 = 1 / (486 * (1/31 + 1/2 + 1/250 + 1/486)) = 0,004 = 0,4% roundedIf S1 and S2 got 99% of 100%, how is it possilbe that the wind is 77° off station LPMA (S2)? You may use other formulas, but the results should be similar.Do you agree that there is something wrong with the weighted interpolation?RegardsNepo

Advanced(?) interpolation
Nepomuk replied to Nepomuk's topic in The AS16 and ASCA | Active Sky | Active Sky Next | XPAX Support ForumSorry, i dont get it. The end result at LPFU is 117/8, the closest station is 040/9.090@12 31 miles away040@ 9 2 miles away300@5 250 miles away120@17 486 miles away.I expect that the wind at LPFU is near 040/9 because its only 2 miles away. Why changes the wind direction 77°?RegardsNepo
