I think I understand that de-rates are used to reduce the power of the engines on takeoff/during climb to reduce the strain placed on them when full power is not needed.I wasn't aware bump was available on smaller planes but watching the recent AOA video it seems otherwise. Am I right in thinking that, in simple terms, bump simply gives a bit more power if needed? Are there any real world examples people can think of where you would use bump? Are there any limitations on it's use?ThanksNick

Nice vidCan I give you a tip? If you hit the Z key on the keyboard it will disable the autopilot - hit it again and it will disable the "AUTOPILOT...AUTOPILOT" warning sound without having to mess with the AFDS disconnect controls of the MCPNick

I've also had this problem - the emails arrived after about 10 hours - by which time i'd solved the problem I was having by myself!

If you want to sell any more NGX than you will already then you need to make people read this post! I can't WAIT!
