  1. I'll buy both on their respective release dates! Now I can only hope to see some good 'Aerosoft quality' sceneries for Dubai and Doha for the Emirates and Qatar flights :(
  2. Correct, it flies with Gulf Air with Swiss registration so my guess is that Gulf Air leased it. I've seen it in Copenhagen as well :smile:However the flight was to/from Bahrain not Zurich :(
  3. Hey guys Part 2 is uploaded to youtube and this time it's about how to use FSX during instrument training! :( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lENHPHDDZbA
  4. Hey Paul. Yes I think that's a fairly safe assumption to make B) I will return when I have a NGX tut. ready which might be this week or the next. :( I have one other video in the making, which doesn't have anything to do with the NGX, but will focus on just how simple it is to use FSX during instrument training. First video is targeted at those new to FS. Next video is targeted at student pilots. But I'm not going to teach instrument flying, there are excellent instructors on the flight schools that does that already. I'm simply just showing people how I used FSX during my own instrument training, because I think many could benefit from the experience. :( Regarding the NG, the plan is to pass on some of my knowledge so that other students (and flightsimmers) hopefully can learn something. One thing is to read about it in fancy aviation books, another thing is to see it "in action". Extra knowledge never hurts before MCC or even a job interview. I'm sure that some or many of the regulars around here, wont get anything from my videos. But I just know too many student pilots that knows so much about aviation but once we talk EFIS airplane, they are lost. And that's too bad! :(
  5. Hey guys! I decided to upon request from a few student pilots, to make a video on how to get started with Flight Simulator X. A lot of students out there could really benefit from practising with flight sim. and from what I've experienced so far from 3 different schools, is that almost only a handful who knows how to effectfully make good use of flight sim. during instrument training for example. The purpose of the series is not to go into details on how to fly instrument flying, but just to show how easy it is to use it. This first video is intended towards people new to flight simulator.Feel free to share it with anybody you think would like to get started! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eDBFl4Ql6Y0"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eDBFl4Ql6Y0

  7. If you have the SP1b files you can do a clean install up to SP1b again if you'd like. I think that's the only way to do it.
  8. I like it that way because I fly a lot to and from my home airport. It's just as nice having the feeling of "coming home" again! :(
  9. I try to do round-trip flights, but I'm busy with school at the moment, so maybe a round-trip every week or every other week.
  10. Hey Bryan! This is by far the coolest thing I've tried in a long time for flight simulator! The first time I tried FS2Crew was for the Level-D 767 for FS9 and I still think it revolutionized the way I use flight sim. However I stopped using it for some odd reason I can't explain, and I never really used it again. I think I got tired of the button thing. Not really sure. Then the NGX came along and the second I found out that there was going to be an FS2Crew version for it, I was already determined to get it when it was released. I've talked to my computer a lot of times before haha! Like "Gear Up" etc. but always had to do it myself. I was also aware of earlier/other FS2Crew voice versions, but thinking to myself, "how good can it be? It's just a computer!". But I must admit that, sitting with the online Voice Commands & Voice Checklist, the Flows Checklist and my printed out Normal Checklist in my hand, that I received with my manuals from PMDG, this went very smooth only with little errors from my side, and nothing I couldn't figure out after briefly looking in the manuals!I've never used a voice version before, but I tested it out on two flights. Going from Oslo to Copenhagen, getting the feeling of the flows. And then a second flight from Copenhagen to Innsbruck for the Visual 08 approach and it was very smooth. Flows going well and all, but only a few times it didn't register what I said, and that was due to my own mistake, either speaking to fast or not saying the commands correctly! Conclusion of the two flights: I already feel comfortable using it in a congested airspace online! So overall, I think you just revolutionized the way I'm going to use flight sim, again! Well done! And I'm so much looking forward to you implementing non-normal checklists :( (hopefully) :( It would add a ton to the sim.Take care!
  11. Agreed. USB headset is bulletproof. I have the Creative Fatal1ty USB headset and it is really good for the money. You can even pull out the mic. from the speakers so you don't look like a total nerd all of the time :)
  12. I bought FS2Crew for the Level-D 767 FS9 version back in the days, and I was immensely satisfied with it, although it might not be like your newer products (don't own any, so I don't know), but if you say it's your flagship, then it can't be less than near perfect!
  13. Unbelievable what can be arranged only if your famous! ;)
  14. My guess would be the F/O callout since there's a small reaction time once you call for an abort until you actually starts braking. EGPWS callout is the actual V1 and just imagine how far extra you roll down the runway in a few seconds.
  15. Nicely done. It is a very nice first video, and stunning clarity and quality of the effects and scenery :)
  16. Looks sweet Christian! Thank you! :)
  17. Ohh for the love of God plz give me a high-end scenery for Dubai for FSX!!! Otherwise all my Emirates flights in the 777, coming into approach in Dubai, is gonna be awful! City and Airport please!!
  18. The flight was during my time building towards my commercial FAA certificate on a flight school in Florida. I had just came back from the holidays and I had left my jacket back in Denmark. I was going to Florida and I thought a jacket would seem unnecessary, right? Well on the ground it was still okay, but freezing level was at 3000-4000 feet some days, but for spacing overflying Orlando/MCO we were usually at 6000-8000 feet which was freaking cold to say the least. A 2,5 hour flight with freezing temperatures and no working heater. That seriously lowers your ability to think at an optimum level.. But I understand why the school didn't fix them.. 11 months a year you're boiling in the aircraft, and for 1 month almost all students were home during the holidays anyway. Usually almost perfect weather with no CBs, so that was the advantage of flying in january LOL..... Great times!
  19. Maybe that's what I am?! Thx for revealing my secret identity!! Ohh well, I've heard the pay is better as a pilot on Planet Earth. At least some places! The picture is from a flight in Florida in January 2010. It was below freezing and the heater didn't work. All I got was my hoodie, no jacket! Was a veeeery long and cold flight haha!
  20. Glad it's solved. Actually I like this thread a lot! A lot of people come to the forums to complain like little children and have absolutely no respect of anyone. Instead of just keeping to themselves and try submitting a ticket and let the support team help them out like professionals. When their problem is solved they still behave inappropriate and call PMDG names and such. This is for once a normal good thread asking a sincere question AND coming back to let everybody know that your problem is solved! I like that. Thanks!Hope you enjoy your new computer and the NGX Jeff!
  21. You work fast Marcelo! Gonna love to have MY BBJ along side YOUR VP-BRT Jokes aside! Love the teaser picture
  22. Wow this thread moves on fast!!Anyone has any plans on making this one: http://bit.ly/737mybbj ?? Would add perfectly to VP-BRT
  23. Nope And I don't have a serious answer to your question to be honest, sorry
  24. He just place it in between his legs.. Don't worry! He's a professional :D
  25. Wow! Just wow Marcelo. I downloaded VP-BRT -700WL from Avsim. Pure art my friend! You have many other beautiful liveries aswell, but this one is my favourite by far.. Would love to see M-YBBJ too for the collection!
