High TAT PMDG NGX
ZanderMiller replied to VBHB's topic in The AS16 and ASCA | Active Sky | Active Sky Next | XPAX Support ForumI have noticed what you are talking about, mostly when climbing out of a warmer climate (Hawaii) using AS2012. The temperature reduction really seems to lag as you climb, like the temp interpolations between the known altitude values get behind in the processing. I have experimented at a given altitude by closing AS2012 and then reloading it, and the temperature returns to a more normal value once AS2012 reloads. This was happening before, and now with SP1beta.MK

Question about how FSX weather affects the NGX during climb phase
I have noticed what you are talking about John, mostly when climbing out of a warmer climate (Hawaii) using AS2012. This might be something for us to take over to the AS2012 forum.I have noticed what you are talking about John, mostly when climbing out of a warmer climate (Hawaii) using AS2012. EGPWS Bug?
I had the same issue yesterday approaching PANC after flying in from PHNL. But have not been able to make this a reproducible event. It never happened prior to SP1c.

04FEB12 Update on SP1c and a few other items...
I too am a little concerned with this divide in the FS community. MS and their Flight (game) has thrown the FS community into a tail spin and everyone feels the need to scramble and make a decision (pick a side) on where to go, either XPlane or P3D, knowing that FSX will, some day, become obsolete. I strongly suspect that LM is bound by contract when they purchased the rights to, and code to FSX, that they shall not compete with MS and their (game); thus the "not for personal entertainment" clause in their EULA. That being said there appears to be a legal loop hole on the use for "personal education" that keeps getting freely used (and somewhat promoted) by LM to allow people who are serious about learning all aspects of flying. I would hope that PMDG's legal team could look to the "personal eduction" view and possible approve it for such use. That aside, we have plenty of time to enjoy PMDG w/ FSX and don't have to rush to move everyone onto another platform yet.ZanderMiller

wind blowing me every which way!
Thanks Guys, I was having the same problem. Sometimes, there is just too much info / posts to keep track of. Again, thanks.MK

Will the NGX include a fuel planner?
Thank you Shane for the information! This is some great insight as to how things are done in the real world and I greatly appreciate it info/numbers. MK

Real Flight 737 ATL-LAS
Ok, thanks for the response. I thought you were with another Co that has picked up a lot of HI flights over the last few years.MK

Real Flight 737 ATL-LAS
Jack, Do you fly PHLI to SEA, in possibly an -800? I can't get the MTOW numbers to work for the 6500ft runways with sufficient fuel and a decent passenger load. How full are your typical flights from there (if you do fly that leg)?ThanksMK

Real Flight 737 ATL-LAS
They lost both tires on the R-Main; ended up busing the PSX from where it sat on 25R to one of SWA's gates.MK

Real Flight 737 ATL-LAS
Hey JBZ,I missed the initial dispatch today for the RedDog units, when SWA decided to have a little tire problem on 25R (? I think it was R). Was that during takeoff (assuming it was R)?ThanksMK

PAJN Runway 26 RNP Approach
Found and OLD version of the PAJN 26RNP in a FAA document while I was actually searching for something unrelated. See Page 16 of this document.http://www.faa.gov/about/office_org/headquarters_offices/ato/service_units/techops/navservices/gnss/library/documents/media/LAAS_IBM/FSF_LAAS_Safety_Report-2004.docSomeone correct me, but based on the date, I believe this might be close to when ASA first developed the PAJN RNP approach?Happy SimmingMK

ETOPS and the NGX
Thanks for the great info and insight to some of ASA's ops. Without violating any NDA's or Corp policies, is there a generic manual / procedures as a resource on how to calc the minimum fuel for an ETOPS flight? Am I correct that you have to calc half the flight at FL100 to account for a possible loss of cabin pressure?RegardsMK
