  1. I am nearly certain, though I cannot find it in the forums, that they will be making the -8F as well as the -8i. Check the videos on youtube from the Munich event for confirmation, as that might be where I heard it.
  2. I will check that out as well. I have always wanted REX so this may be for me.
  3. I was going to mention this as well... is there a fix to this? It can get pretty frustrating when it's +40C outside at 30,000 feet and you can't get up to FL350 because of it.
  4. Thanks for all of the replies. I will look more into building one again after hearing that or any other ways to do it.
  5. Hey everybody, After many months of trying to figure out on my own what kind of computer I should get for FSX (as my current one is starting to really showing its age occasionally now), I realized that a computer scrub such as myself should probably just go for an out-of-the-box system and not build my own. I know that building one is better as it is cheaper but I am wondering if you guys could make some suggestions on what the best out-of-the-box computer is on the market for FSX. I know that the ideal processor, according to many, is the Sandy bridge (either 2500K or 2600K)... and that's about all I know...Any suggestions for places to start or systems to buy? Obviously I want to spend as little as possible while still getting stellar results, but the more options the better. Thanks a lot
  6. EDIT: Nevermind, I figured it out in the FMC simulation menu.
  7. Sounds good Robert. I hope you do decide to model the 200ER soon after as well but the 200LR and 300ER sound good as a base/expansions.As for not releasing in June... so you mean May right? :LMAO:Thanks for the update (and while I couldn't attend, I have been watching the video of your presentation and I must say you sounded quite impressive... and I AM one of those people who does wish that he was there).I am very much looking forward to the "official" update coming in the next week or so.Thank you
  8. Right. There are a few American 772s that fly between KMIA and KLAX and even some Delta 772s that fly between places as close as Atlanta and Detroit (an 80 minute flight). There are more carriers that do this... Of course, the majority of the 777s and 747s IRL do fly long haul or super long haul, but if passenger frequency is high enough, they will be used, sometimes even daily.
  9. :( :LMAO:You always know just what to say, Al.
  10. Woah!!!!!!! This is fantastic news! I am ecstatic on all fronts. I had been away for a week and I come back to this! A great day it is indeed for the entire simulation community (not to mention myself hehe).I cannot wait until more information and hopefully a formal post by RSR in the forums are released in the coming hours or days. Now all we can do is sit back and watch as the many newbies come in and ask about release dates... :( Thank you Tom (and everyone else on the forums today) for the update!
  11. Great news! Robert thanks for the update (definitely your shortest update in the years I've been checking out the forums).Hopefully it will be today or Saturday as planned!Looking forward to a continued incredibly enjoyable experience with the NGX
  12. Thanks for the replies,That sounds good, I have an external (USB) hard drive and I would try that but the computer (which I stupidly forgot to mention in my original post) that gets the internet is a Mac... So I am not quite sure how I could pull that off. Thinking about it, it seems that the most logical way to do it would be to use that external hard drive idea and install it to that from my friends computer (a PC).Thanks for the helpBest regards
  13. Hi everyone,While I am a true hardcore simulation fan and love FSX, I am eager to try Flight. My computer that runs FS and now, hopefully, Flight, for some reason, is very inconsistent with the internet connection in my apartment. Some stretches of days and weeks it can connect, but other stretches of time, like right now, it cannot connect to the internet for weeks. As a result of this problem, I downloaded the installer from my other computer (which has a solid connection) and used a flash drive to bring it to the FS one. Once running the installer, I realized that the installer downloads the game from online... In other words, I cannot download nor play Flight because my FS computer is not working with my internet. Is there a way to install Flight without using the internet on the computer that it will be used on? Take the FSDT sceneries for example. I can download the installer on computer #2 and then use a flash drive to put it onto the FS computer. I can then run the installer and there is no need for the internet on the FS computer. Is there any way to do the same for Flight? Download ALL necessary files on computer #2 and bring them over via flash drive to FS computer? Thanks for all suggestions
  14. Wise words; I agree. They are two entirely different experiences that each bring their own intricacies, complications and enjoyment to the one flying. I cannot say that with certainty as I haven't flown any in RL but I am excited to study, learn and understand what incredible things these two machines can do.
  15. http://precisionmanuals.com/pages/downloads/liveries.htmlGo to that link and press on "FSX & FS2004 747-400/F" Once there, just find your desired livery and press FSX Version or FS2004 Version, depending on what you're running.
  16. They'll probably have something like a pop up FMC, overhead and individual screens. They just don't want to model the entire thing because it seems like a waste of resources if the VC is so complete and thorough.Even on the NGX there is no throttle quadrant. Still, I hope that they include at least a few 2D pop-ups like the ones that I mentioned above, just because it is easier and is nicer on frames than the VC if I'm in a heavy fps hitting area.
  17. Ah I see. Yeah, thinking about it, the EFB would definitely be too small if not popped up. Is the one that Aivlasoft sells very true to life? It sure looks it from the website.
  18. Maybe PMDG could work with Aivlasoft and put their EFB into the 777 (on the screen where it usually is in the cockpit). Maybe that could be an option when purchasing because the combined EFB/T7 would surely cost more... This way PMDG doesn't have to go through the craziness of creating a true to life EFB and the simmers who want it can purchase a more expensive 777 that comes with it and simmers who don't don't need to. Just an idea.
  19. Mine usually end up in same place as Sam's, however I do sell a bunch every so often. The one's that I have memories with or would make me feel like I am throwing a piece of myself out, I keep next to my computer/console.I also think that you should sell the ones that don't mean as much to you and keep the ones that you do, and maybe put them in a small box or something like that. I happen to have memories with practically everything I own (or convince myself I do), so cleaning out anything is always a real challenge.Happy moving!
  20. My first flight will probably be a test flight and then eventually a delivery flight... but I am not quite sure which airline it will be for. Looking forward to the T7 very much!
  21. I have been hoping for this as well. The strobes, beacon and nav lights look great on the ground but, I was wondering if PMDG could have the strobes light up the wing as well, as it does in the RW.Thanks.
  22. Wow that does look fantastic! Maybe PMDG and Majestic will release their products at nearly the same time, to give buyers all of the variants that they want. (Just a probably fantasy though.)
  23. I agree with this. I can't see them not releasing one of the two ER variants for the LR or F because the ERs are the most common.
