  1. Well guys, I know that these commercial planes fly always under IFR but it's lot easier to make it as VFR cause the inbuilt ATC fails on approach with STAR's and so on. I think I'll try online flying when I'm back at home. (null)
  2. Since I got the NGX, I fly nothing else than that. The Carenado C337H and both Dukes are my GA favourites. (null)
  3. I like the handling based failures, I never use these predefined failures of systems.

To this online flying thing I have to say that I was about to fly IVAO one time when I got my Headset but I was afraid of all these phrases and that they wouldn´t understand me, so I let it and never tried again. Well, but this was about 2 years ago and my english has increased a lot since then. Maybe I´ll make another try.
  5. Real pilots also can't speed up their warp factor. I've never done it and I never will. I get the plane into cruise and the I do some other things in the meantime (watch TV, do some homework or something else) but I never think of speeding up the things. (null)
  6. I'm not really hooked on these failures. The only one I had till now was overheated brakes after some excessive braking on Victoria intl.
  7. Hey guys, just a short question. How do you fly with your NGX, IFR with ATC (like in RW) or VFR and the FMC doing all the work?!I found flying VFR with FMC and AP from take off till approach is the most realistic way, but then the ATC has to be on VFR and that's not realistic. On the other side IFR is a lot more realistic but the approach phase is highly unrealistic. I know that there are other things like Radar Contact but I'm pretty hooked on the default ATC. So what do you do on your flights to overcome this issue?
  8. I second that. As I'm a schoolboy I don't get much money from my parents. That's why I really depend on critical reviews do that I don't spend my already small money on the wrong products just because a review said nothing critical about it. (null)
  9. Hey Gerry, you could just change your os to Windows 7 64 bit, so it can use the full 4 GB instead if only 3,25. That should fix a lot of problems. :( Check out that threat: http://forum.avsim.net/topic/357764-difficult-to-slow-down

  11. Hey folks,some days back when I discovered the features of the NGX I found a page in the FMC which counted the hours till the next maintenance. I recently tried to access this page again but I didn´t find it. Has anyone an idea where this page is?
  12. So his spec´s will pe pretty the same like mine. I have very decent performance till now (I´ll eventually speed up the CPU a bit when I have time.) He will be amazed from the performance boost. But be warned, flying into Denver with the NGX isn´t much fun. I got between 8 and 15 FPS, somehow a slideshow.
  13. I have also "only" 4GB and I´m running the NGX and everything else on a pretty high level. I never had any OOM´s. It´s right that an 64 bit system and 8 GB RAM might reduce the risk of OOM´s a lot, but also 4 GB are mostly enough. The biggest impact on OOM´s has the OS. And there´s where 64 bit gets very handy. :(
  14. I got my copy just some days ago and no problems overall (2 crashs so far but they wweren´t NGX related.).
  15. The NGX is asthonishingly light in regards to CPU usage. I think it should be all right as long as you don't fly in the really big airports with lots of Ai. Otherwise is should perform well. (null)

  18. Just switch it on after all hydraulic systems are powerd and it should work. That´s how it works at least on my side.
  19. The Captain Sim C-130 All-in-one-pack and 727 Base Pack, Extreme Pototypes Learjet 20 Series, IRIS C-27J Spartan and finally the NGX Base Pack. I´ve never got more planes in such a short time, but I couldn´t resist these sales! :smile:And besids the FS I got a guitar.
