  1. Someone needs to tell Flight beam, FSDT and Aerosoft this....
  2. I am sort of new to painting and have used your videos, Gary, to figure out some details of painting. My biggest issue with painting now is some older paintkits that do not have a lot of extras minus the typical layered items. For example the Project Airbus and iFly 737 paint kits have a lot of nice features which include detailed windows and good dirt type effects, etc. Whereas a lot of paints I am working on right now are for the Posky 777 that has generic boring windows and some level of detail with the rivets, etc but it is very plain. I have tried many techniques to add color and things like glossy-ness and different finishing and shading techniques but I am having a hard time figuring out how to do it and it just doesn't look right. Luckily I can use the pen tool and create nice lines, etc. However I have numerous paints I want to release but want to add more detail. I am also wanting to learn how to do different types of metal, etc. Having a good video that showed how to do a good plane on the Posky 777 paintkit for example and do custom windows, metal and finishing, etc would be really good to have. But again I do enjoy having your videos to revert to, big help. Andrew
  3. Im confused on your question... And yes they probably ONLY provide support to those who have a legit serial number.. Why shouldn't they? Should they provide support for people who "stole" the scenery???
  4. I just sent you a PM requesting your email.. Once I get it i'll send you the paintkit..
  5. What CRJ is this update for.....?
  6. I am sure I may get blasted for asking this but I am fairly new to painting, have been painting the iFly 737 which has a left/right/belly part to the .psd file. With regards to the POSKY 777 I see the left side with all the different layer areas in the layers menu, as well as a section for the right side... But how do you paint the right side? All I can think of is after paiting the left you'd have to copy each layer from the left into the right side, but no clue how to get it to the right side....Any help is appreciated..Thank you.
  7. andrew_c.. If you can go to the forum discussion we mentioned above and read through it.. It sill give you a good dicussion of what to do and an understanding of the changes... What 777 are you flying ? the -300/ER, the -200? Do you use the VC? Because I do not, so not sure how my merge would work for you.
  8. Luke,No problem. Sorry I wasn't able to give you more complete instructions, that other topic I referred you to though did a great job of fixing the merge issues, at least for me. Let us know if you need anymore help. Hopefully Trevor is able to also get you up and running.
  9. You need to do a search for this topic in this same forum (fs2004) for a topic re "777 FDE merge" started by member "twasono." it has all you need to know. It'll take some time to get the merge completed but it works.. I fly this one all the time. i work for Boeing and found I have my fuel numbers, etc matched pretty close to what my flightplanning software shows. Also, regarding your issues with freezing CDU, etc. Make sure you install is as using administrator rights. I had numerous issues, bugs, etc with this one at first.. reinstalled as per administrator and it was perfect. If you purchased it through justflight email them and make sure you have all the updates, etc. For the NAVIGATION make sure you have the latest updates for the FMS via NAVIGRAPH. My only gripe with this plane is the CDU always puts my TOD (top of descent) way too early to the arrival airfield. I just take the TOD that the papercopy of my flightplan shows and start a manual descent, either FLCH or VS to a lower altitude.I don't use the VC however so I ignored the setup for that. But that too does seem to work for most users. As for the transition to an ILS you mention it should work fine. I have done some flights into EDDS/EINN/EDDH/LSZH which uses RNAV arrivals to set up up for the approach twhatever runway the STAR is for. It has the transitions, etc and when using the LNAV will put you right on the approach. When flying in the U.S. most of our STARS just put you at a point where you then get vectored or have to fly a procedure to an ILS, etc so in that situation I put the STAR but will sometimes leave out the runway or once I get t the end of the STAR will fly the ILS using RAW DATA and the "APP" mode of the MFD vice the "MAP" mode, if that makes sense. This panel/plane combo works and feels very close to the real 777 if you get it working.
  10. I know there a few topics out there bout this, on other forums too, but I am having a different issue on this one. I got this to work expect for when I turn to the right (only) over about 30 degrees the outboard spoilers come to stop the roll but then stay up after going back to wings level. This does not occur on turns to the right. Any ideas if it is something in the cfg that can be fixed? I have had this issue while using the POSKY CRJ700/900- not on the -200.Any assistance is appreciated.Thanks.
  11. Wow. I was searching using the .zip name but in the"text" field vice the filename search.. Sorry to have posted this. I just got it.Thanks
  12. Ok, well I searched this forum and found this topic.. I need this paintkit.. it is no longer on flightsim.com. Also, I dont find it on here either. If anyone has it I would like to get a copy if possible.email is andymichfull at yahoo dot com.Thanks.
  13. Hi! I am new to painting and am trying to find a tutuorial that is no longer available online. It was on the website flightsimulatorguide.com, since shutdown. It was a tutorial on how to paint the POSKY 777, the example was that of a Korean Air 777. If anyone has a pdf of that could I get a copy PD'd to me? Or if it has moved to another website.Thanks.Drew
  14. YES.. this scenery is VERY good.. Light years ahead in regards to freeware.. So good George redid it and updated this scenery some and sold it.. It should work in 64 but but if not try to install as administrator or worse if you have another pc, non 64 bit install there and transfer the files <--- last resort. Also, dont forget there was an update to this scenery adding the smaller running and other details..Drew
  15. So I am having a minor issue with the tweak. When flying using autopilot heading hold, so NO VNAV, i'll sial in th eheading and the plane will turn towards that heading, however it is over shooting the heading by 3-4 degrees and then turning back. Anyway to stop that? For example i'll be heading say 020.... then i'll dial in 140, so the plane will start the right turn as I am twisting the heading to 140. The plane will turn to about 144 maybe 145 degrees then turn back left to get on 140. Any ideas? Minus that no issues- I am finding this is a really good merge...Thanks.
  16. I also am adding two qauestions to the topic... Can anyone explain more detail how to get the APU exhaust nozzle to work with APU bleed air gauge>?Also, I have matched the cfg files, and the title, however my FMS still is showing the Boeing 777-300ER for the B777-200ER.....Besides that so far so good.Thanks.Drew
  17. Ditto.. I had to do this once, I used a portable drive to move everything on to, my AI traffic, acft, scneery, etc and once I assured that all worked, I did a full reinstall, clean up, etc. Everything got moved back and restored quite nicely. Just make a few cups of coffee and sit back and relax, can take some time to do though.
  18. Joe, You are GENIOUS...that worked!! it fixed my LIRF AND LIMC.... Awesome! thanks again! Also, I see ISD put the VENICE, LIPZ on avsim in the new files section.. Looks like and update to their older one....
  19. Steve/ Joe,Thank you. I m going to check for that file and move it if I find it. Appreciate the help.Drew
  20. Well I didn't think it would require rwy 12 objects, but I didnt know. What do you mean by the librarythe screenshot came from? I installed this scenery into the addon scenery folder under whatever I named the folders (not at my home pc right now) then had the texture and scenery files with the respective files in their folders. Maybe I put the wrong file in somewhere.
  21. John,Are you talking about the tree library from rwy 12? Yeah it looks to be trees only as this scenery, as well as LIMC all the missing textures like this are away from the terminal, out in the open land, so it makes the most sense that trees would be the issue. i installed these as per instructions and I think LIRF had the .exe file to install it so thats y I am dumbfounded that some files could be missing.Drew
  22. Attached is the screenshot.... The only time I have seen this issues is if a texture is missing or something. There are alot of ISD scenery files for LIRF and LIMC on Avsim and fltsim.com so I am wondering if somewhere I may have had random files in my scenery/texture files, however I dont think so.
  23. Steve,Yeah I tried those updates and still getting it at both LIMC, LIRF.I will try and take some screenshots and post them.Thanks.Drew
  24. I searched the avsim forum and found a lot of people having issues with flickering textures in the ISD sceneries. My issue is the scenery looks fine when it comes ot the airport, etc, however with LIRF and LIMC I have big white boxes, kind of like when you dont have rwy 12 objects installed or certain tree files with some scenery. The thing is I dont anywhere where added textures are needed in the readme files of ISD. Anyone else have the issue? Also, for LIML, is there anyway to delete the static acft on the ramp? Thanks.Drew
