  1. Eye operation via camera section, Ie; where your looking, fixed position for action, or blink.
  2. Find some more bits from the manual..... http://www.aerosoft.com/forum_screens/catalina/manual.pdf Section 4.1.1, Page 303
  3. Tricky Question, it already has an HMI, Human Machine Interface, the keyboard or touch screen. Do you mean what improvements could be made to that interface ie ;- Human to Mobile Phone, or Human to Mobile Phone to another piece of equipment (Using the Phone as the HMI for something else)
  4. VC-10, 747-200 & 400, MD-80, Cessna 152, Dash 8, DHC-6, AS-365 N1 & N3, Westland Wessex, Bell 412, Airbus A330-200, A340-300, A320-200, A321-200, Boeing 777-200ER, 737-200, Embraer 135, ATR 42-500, 72-500, Any others were one-off's, and most likely fell asleep from the previous flights lol.
  5. United Kingdom (Home), USA (Louisiana, Washington, Michigan), Caribbean (St. Maarten, St. Eustacius, St. Lucia), Barbados, Netherlands, Poland, Germany, Belgium, France, Spain, Switzerland, Malta, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Iran, Qatar, UAE, Bahrain, Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea, South Africa (Cape Town), Papua New Guinea (Port Moresby), Fiji (Vuda, Vatia Suva), Samoa (Apia), Solomon Islands (Honiara), Australia (Melbourne), Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Japan (Tokyo, Osaka)
  6. I think the only places you'll see improvements with a new GPU is clouds and Texture sizes, in theory, the bigger the card and memory, the more it should handle in that regards, texturing clouds is a life sucker. Also Bloom if you use that too.
  7. He flew one of these, the de-Havilland DH.50's...... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/De_Havilland_DH.50
  8. Regarding the heating system, Prop, Wings, Tail, It essentially says to put it on before you think you will need it, there is very little else on this in the manuals.
  9. From an original PBY-5a, with P&W 1830-92 Engines, For Climb at Maximum Continuous Power (60 minutes), 2550RPM, 42 Inches Boost Pressure (From Sea Level to 7,000 feet - Earlier in the manual it states 41.5 from Sea Level to 5,700 Feet, and then 39.5 Inches from 5,700 to 7,500 Feet), Maximum Cylinder Temperature 260 Degrees C., Auto Rich. Once up at cruise speed try Auto Lean Setting (From an original PB4Y-2, P&W 1830-94 Engines Manual), Cruise Maximum 2250RPM, Mixture Auto Lean, Oil Pressure 65-95 P.S.I., Oil Temp. 60-75 Degrees C., Cowl Flaps Closed, With Blower On Low (Can't remember if this is selectable in FSX) 735BHP 56 U.S. G.p.H., with Blower on High 675BHP 55 U.S. G.p.H., Maximum Cylinder Head temp. 232 Degrees C. For the PBY-5A it's almost identical, P&W 1830-92 Engines, 2170RPM, 33.5/30.5 Inches Boost Pressure. From Sea Level to 10,000 feet. Bear in mind, that's the Military Rating for climb above. In the P&W 1830 Engine Operators Hand Book...... The Standard climb is 75% Power, very close to what you had, 2325RPM , 31.5 Inches to 12,000 Feet, Auto Rich, This setting is the next down from the Maximum Continuous Power (Rated Power in the Engine Manual), but does clearly state that Military requirements may be different. Cowl flaps open as required during climb.
  10. Look on the bright side, in a year you can leave school and get a job
  11. It will also depend where your centre of gravity is.
  12. I honestly have no idea on that, the boss just put that up on Facebook, so thought I would sneak it in here. I'm on the F50 at the moment. Got to love working interiors, well, someone has to lol ^_^ It's all very hush hush, but I'm sure something more will be said by Terrence, or Espen from Coolsky soon.
  13. Did you mean one of these by any chance?
  14. Hi All, Glad you are enjoying the product Actually, that's not quite what we said, this is what Dhierin said to be precise.... So don't count your chickens until they've hatched, you never know........ And collaboration's do work, this is a good point raised though, but i think you will all agree, in this case it has worked, as long as the teams work well together. It's like Aircraft manufacturers, they don't make all the avionics, nor do they make the engines, if you have an overall problem with the Aircraft, you go to the manufacturer, In this case, Coolsky, if you have a problem with the engines, the manufacturer goes to the engine supplier, In either case, any problems regarding the aircraft, Espen will forward you to the right place. Flight 1 is the packager and market place. In the case with the texture packs from Mcphat, you can go direct to Mcphat where they were bought from if there is an issue.
  15. That's a no chill system, but if It hadn't worked as expected, I was going to place one on the radiator outlet, then back to the header tank. I guess it would depend on what temperature you are coming down to and where you put the radiator in the system. If you have the pump - CPU - radiator - chiller - header tank - pump - then it would lower the energy required to reduce the temperature as you have already removed a big chunk before it goes into the chiller, It would depend on your type of system, whether closed loop, or semi closed. As regarding room, the 'computer' sits in the hall out of the way from everyone, and acts as a stand now for some books, a telephone, and a vase of flowers Cables up to where needed. The pumps are alphacool, they are high flow pumps, but can turn them down to some degree, they don't need to run at full speed for this setup, so very quiet too.
  16. Regarding the original post, The down sides would be noise and power consumption, if you integrate it with a radiator system then you can get a smaller chiller if really needed. The larger the radiator, the more the cooling, the less the noise. Running an I7 990X, hyper threading on, during burn tests with 12(HT) cores running, then it only hits 65 in Summer Time. The radiator is very cool, so slight over kill there, but as this system is for FSX only, it is large enough to add another pump and computer into the cooling system for home cockpit setup & external programs.
  17. It's basically a big wind box, with 8 slow speed fans, 4 in, 4 out, so practically silent. it uses a 24" x 24" radiator, or a car radiator would do with the right fittings, 2 pumps, 1 for supplying the components (In Parallel through a manifold on the pump discharge) 1 for feeding the water on a separate cooling loop through the radiator. The whole system takes about 9 litres (2 gallons) with a lid on the header tank (Acrylic Fish Tank) to prevent evaporation. The rest is all standard blocks, CPU, GPU, MB, & Memory. The MB sits on a PC Acrylic Test Platform, with the PSU Drives securely hidden Underneath. Everything sits 1.5" off the bottom, so even with a leak, the PSU will be above water so to speak. Also a drain at the very bottom of the casing so you can drain the system without having to fiddle around inside.
  18. It is wood, Painted white (Not quite finished the outside), And just a varnished top. Still got the fan guards to put on aswell.
  19. Who ever made the list has obviously never been to sea then, lol
  20. Hi Matej, No changes to the UHDT liveries and Flight Deck Textures that I am aware of, If you do spot something that needs correcting though, & we'll hop on it please do post it on our Forum, Thanks sara
  21. No Fear, In my initial response, I was responding to the post just before mine I haven't tried the new version with the service pack, will have to give that a go, as it's bed time here lol. The fixes will always come from Espen's mouth first as really this is his baby, I know he loves the MD's. It was fun, if not a long project to work on (around a year and a bit for me). Hopefully the flashing bug is sorted fully now, We had that problem in the early beta's then it went away, It was only in the initial release when it got out there that the bug resurfaced, got to love PC's and their numerous variations and FSX tweaks lol. I'm hoping now that there will be time for Terrence to finish up the paint kit, He's been busy with the old ATR for X-Plane aswell after that release. Even I don't have a paintkit for the exterior yet, I'd love to do a few freebies for it, been a while since I did outsides rather than insides, there's some lovely colourfull ones that caught my eye a while back. Anyway's, back to interiors tomorow on the next project, safe flying, and hope all your wishes come true for this year (including the paint kit )
  22. First might I say thank you to all who respond. Secondly, despite what most think about publishers, this is a secondary job, so we don't all sit around a table twiddling thumbs, watching the cash roll in and laughing at customers ask about paint kits. The close working together of both companies has put the SP as a priority, even above our next project which is also on-going, and be pushed back a few months already. No, I paint the interiors, Jamal made the model, and has been working on the above mentioned issues to track down the issues with flashing squares etc. with Terrence and Espen. This is very simple, Coolsky is the sole source of issues with the aircraft, Mcphat 'Us' are who you contact if there are issues with the textures we released in the WA or Cockpit texture packs, you will also find the responses are quick on both companies. This is just impolite, you could ask a question rather than trying to give an order, we are quite friendly on the whole, so speaking like this to others earns no respect. Service Pack is now released as I type this, it is available here.... http://www.flight1.com/products.asp?product=uadc9classic
  23. Just for reference, we do not sell the DC9, Flight1 sell the DC9 on behalf of Coolsky. We made the model, interior and graphics Only. The paintkit, I don't know about yet, more emphasis has been placed on assisting with SP1.
  24. PCIe SSD's are good, once they are up and running, you get a delay as the motherboard bios, then the SSD bios starts up. I'll time it later from total, then after bios starts. I Made my rig with FSX & FSX only in mind, the main brain for the center of a home simulator.
