[FSX] Door Problems [Controlls]
Hi! I tried the same thing only I used the letter W. Somewhere somehow W is programmed as a double key press. I hit it once, the door opens then closes. I can't keep the door from closing. Conversely, if the door's open and I hit W, it'll close then re-open. I've tried playing with the Repeat box but it doesn't give me any results either. Any ideas? Tkx! Doug

FTX Global Lights Configurator
Hey all! I installed this thing tonight but am getting no lights at all. I'm accessing with Vector. I've tried with UTX on/off and just about every combination I can think of. Any pointers would be most appreciated! Tkx!! Doug

Mute my voice to the FO
Tkx Robert. I'll check with PilotEdge to see if a specific key will work with them. If so I'll try DEL or another. I described what I'm currently doing with FSUIPC earlier in the thread. I'll talk to Ben if necessary, hate to bother him. Tkx again! Doug

MCE & RC4 - Question?
I think you'd have to have W/L have an identical script of recordings as RC goes for it to work flawlessly. I'm not familiar with the MCE recordings but by taking note of RC recordings while at cruise, there just isn't that much. If you can duplicate MCE's files (like 'contact), make a .wav file, name it to match RC's and put it in a folder within RC, it should work. Doug

Mute my voice to the FO
No. I have UseVOXScripts=1, that's the closest thing to yours. Doug

Mute my voice to the FO
>>...on the screen...<< Do you mean atop FSX where their normal scrolling takes place? No, I saw no msg there, on the MCE UI or anywhere else so It's apparently not detecting the PTT. Cool trick though, if it'd toggle the MCE mic icon. That'd take care of that . Looking forward to this working... Doug

Mute my voice to the FO
Hi Robert, I tried =1 and =2 (Hail Mary). MCE heard me both times. Doug

Mute my voice to the FO
Stuart, I'm not using specific key(s) for mic input, rather (per PilotEdge instructions) I use: PTT Transmit On (SB3.RW.AVC) and PTT Transmit Off (SB3.RW.AVC). Both "Parameter" boxes are 0 (zero). I tested this tonight with MCE calling for a checklist with the trigger pulled and held... MCE heard me. Any idea? Tkx!! Doug

Mute my voice to the FO
Hi Stuart, >>Assign the <END> key as PTT...MCE will suspend all speech reco until you release the key<< That's exactly what I'm looking for. Can I PM you with some thoughts and questions? Doug

Mute my voice to the FO
Dog-gone it, I just read about this two days ago and can't find that post. My FO MCE is responding to me talking to ATC. I need to "mute myself" to the FO until I need him. How can this be done? Sorry, I know the answer's out there but can't find it. Tkx a bunch!! Doug

Where are the PAX?
Howdy from west TN! My previous installations of MCE used aside GSX gave me PAX boarding/un-boarding sounds. I just installed MCE again for my full trainer and am getting no sounds. Stewart/Jim are there acknowledging the boarding request but there's no follow-on PAX sounds. Are these sounds an MCE product or GSX? I'm not even sure where to start digging for the solution. Further, whichever source the sounds come from, how does it know how many PAX there are for a flight? I assume it's important since GSX offers "Timing" options. Tkx in advance!! Doug

MCE + GSX
Hey all! I may have my out-to-lunch "Jim - Ground Services Co-Ord" issue resolved but another's cropped up. When I ask Jim to he talks to GSX (refueling, catering etc) but GSX doesn't respond. I'm watching the GSX menu. Whereas on my other sim(s) his request would select an appropriate line-item, but now there's no reaction at all. Any ideas? Sure would appreciate it!! Tkx in advance... Doug

Ground Interaction
I too am having this problem with the mechanic and also with the purser. I have no one to get catering, refueling, boarding etc on the way. In fact the only thing that works is the F/O reading the checklist(s). I just began using SIM-A in my full trainer. Is that why, SIM-A? Tkx!! Doug

Can't "check" F/E
Hey David, tkx for your reply! My brain wasn't engaged, all systems normal. I meant the mechanic, he's not there. I'll double check things. I did a new installation so need to go back and "voice-train" anyway. Tkx again! Doug

Can't "check" F/E
Hi! v2468. All's working great except I can't select F/E under Commands. The button's not highlighted so not selectable. What am I missing? Tkx! Doug

Next Avsim Convention & my mobile Simpit
No more conventions - I'm very, very sorry to hear this. The convention(s) to me were the glue that held the fuse together. From Tahoe to Denver, Wichita to Dulles and all others. I hope Tom reconsiders... Doug

STARS and IAPs
Your choices are limited. What you're looking for simply isn't designed into RCv4.3. I know one of the AVSIM higher-ups once ask us us to implement precisely what you're asking for. It's on the list. At the time RCv4.3 was released, the "You'll be vectored off a STAR once in Apch airspace" was an uncommon practice but we're seeing it more and more. However, it will be impossible for RC to be aware of each and every plate in the world. Not going to happen. In fact the vector option's already there (did you know that?). At any point after having requested an IAP, you can request radar vectors but you have to have requested an IAP. I know what you're saying, fully understand but again, for now you're choices are limited. Doug
