I have purchased a couple of versions of this product however obtaining a registration key for this product is a long and laborious process (as I have done this before, it was the single "sticking point" to my decision to buy this....). Though the product is a good product, and I appreciate the need to protect the software.. I would suggest that the registration process be changed to eliminate delays in the purchase and use of the product. There's got to be a better way as this is simply to involved...

Several install problems arose upon receiving my ORBX DVD . The install was difficult but , you guessed was my fault . I struggled with the registration in that my registration key was given openly- except at the Flight Sim Store . I expected a special e-mail , but going to my account at the flight sim store there was my registration key number . The problem I had was separating zeroes from 'O's , which I had guessed at mistakenly . Once I switched to zeroes all was well . I keep FSX on a separate drive . I had five gigabytes extra , I had thought , but I had forgotten about one or two additions to FSX , into the separate drive . Windows provides no means to adjust the partition size so after some attempts to load FTN BLU with no luck ; I used a downloaded partition drive tool and added about five gigabytes of space . That done Orbx loaded right in and all was well .

I've bought Carenado aircraft from third-party retailers (Aerosoft) in the past and haven't found the serial system too intrusive, since it doesn't phone home, and I'll still be able to use my stuff if the company goes tits up. But, one virtual pilot shoppe informed me a few months ago that Carenado (as well as Alabeo) have begun using an activation scheme. True, or not? I understand from the Carenado FAQ page that individual retailers may handle things their own way, so it may be this one retailer.

Hi, What I can say is that the new portal and new rules are everything but friendly for the customer confronted with the impossibility to reacivate his planes after e. g.an hardware or a virus crash. The first problem is to find the right way to place his ticket. No entry, no suggestion on the site dispite the relative high prices of the products you can't imagine to pay for again. Note that the number of my activations are only related to changes in my machine and not actually so numerous but for the Jeatstream I bought for many years. This is my second ticket as the first one is still whitout answer. I would like to reactivate my Boeings 600-700 and 800-900 and the Jetstream I still use regularly. Not usane to dream of this? Regards Daniel

Hello, my fsx has a problem with some file, so i reinstalled it. But i forgot to remove any add ons. Now, i want to reinstall my PMDG NGX(Boxed) and my T7(Download Version). But i just have black gauges, no gear and nothing is clickable. I gues its something like software protection, but how can i reenter my key? There was no Key question during the stup and in the FSX. Im sure that its not an FSUIPC Problem, because its not installed. I hope you guys can help me Thx for help. Greetings from Mainz(RLP/Germany) Jonas Löffel.

When I go to tweak the aircraft settings, specifically under the "failures" Tab in the FMC, the display shows "N6066 Aircraft" although the registration is C-FNNH (the Air Canada livery from the downloader). Does anyone else have mismatching FMC registration and aircraft registration?

I have Win 8 running on my computer and had to switch back to Win7 for the time being because HP STILL has no Win8 drivers for M1319f mfp printer. Since registering 737NGX requires an Internet connection I assume that the install is registered. Eventually (hopefully soon although I have been waiting for these drivers for 3 months now) I will switch back to Win 8. My question is, how is that going to affect me when I try to install 737NGX in Win 8? Will it let me, do I have to uninstall on Win 7 first, and can I do it at all? Thanks

I reinstalled all of P3D31 frresh and when I installed 737NGX Base, it did not ask for the registration code. Is there something that tells me its properly registered? Also, I have not installled SP1C or SP1D, which is appropriate fir P3D31? Thanks, Jeff Callender

I started a support ticket last Friday July 8th to resolve re-installation of my G1000 software. It is now Tuesday July 12th. The last topic I started on this was closed without any actual resolution. The email topic in the support ticket email to Mindstar specifically says G1000 as well did the included text in several places. I also included all of my original purchase information for the G1000 some six years ago. Thankfully Mindstar support contacted me within 24 hours later which is great and most appreciated, but for whatever reason whomever responded must have completely disregarded reading the actual topic of the support ticket as well the actual text included in the ticket. And this was disregarded not just once...but twice...after I promptly responded to their support email and again restated what I am actually requesting. As a result I have now been twice resent the exact same details of my invoice number for the GNS430/530 install. To be clear again, ...for the third time now..., that's not what I need. I thought I was sufficiently clear in my original support ticket that I was requesting G1000 help NOT GNS430/530 as I had already installed the GNS430/530 without issue and it is already registered active. I'm not so worried about the support timeline per se now as much as the actual understanding and comprehension of what I am actually asking for. Again...I need G1000 re-installation data ...NOT... GNS 430/530 re-installation data. I don't know how else to better explain what I'm asking for. Please ...help.

I am an old Mindstar customer both in age as well as not having reinstalled the G1000 software since 2010. I have recently rebuilt my PC with Windows 10, FSXse and Prepar3D v3.3.5 and have attempted to install the latest v2.11.0019 (migrating up from the 2.0.44 beta circa 2010). After the "installation" I first attempted to register via the online method with my last known Serial Number and License Key and it would not work. I then attempted it with every other manner available and had no luck that way either. Am I to assume I need a brand new Serial Number and License Key each time I reinstall this software because after review of my past notes this was indeed the trend for a fresh PC rebuild. This will only be the third install for me over the last 6 years as I commonly rebuild / reformat or upgrade my computer every two to three years as most people likely do. The first two installs were however within a single year from late 2009 to late 2010 when I built a brand new PC and had upgraded to Windows 7. I see in my notes that I did in fact use two different Serial Number and License Keys then when reinstalling. Again, the second set of these two is not working for me now either..leading me to believe I again need a whole new set. I sent in a support email to Mindstar earlier this afternoon but since it was sent on a Friday afternoon I assume a reply may be several days out. If anyone has some suggestions or know that new keys are required I would appreciate a reply as I was hoping to use the software this weekend and build a few new panel sets for Prepar3D. I will in turn provide these panels to other Mindstar customers for those interested. Lastly, if this software always requires new keys with PC rebuilds/reformats it would be great to know on the upfront (and thus see in a forum sticky and or on the website) so that I can preemptively get them on order in the future as this, much like a lot of software installs, turns into a big 3 hour headache. All time I can't bill anyone for It's terribly frustrating. That said, I understand the need for software security and it makes sense that I may need new keys, especially if they are perhaps time sensitive and made to expire after a few years or after multiple...multiple... installs but this is only the second attempt using the last key set so I'd really like to get a final answer on this as this time around was no easier than the second. Regards, Jeff
