  1. Hi everyone, after some time using P3D I have decided to look into the audio options in order to separate some of the sounds in a more realistic way. However, the only options available are the four volumes (Engine, Cockpit, Environment, Voice) with no way to separate any of the first three outputs from each other. The Idea is to obtain the engines sound coming from the main speakers (with bass Sub) and the cabin sound from a more modest output situated the above overhead panel so to emulate the cockpit ambiance. Again in the audio mixer, one can only isolate Voice Capture (mostly not used as we tend to rely on FS2crew and external ATC) "Voice Playback" and "Primary Playback" this last one being where all the internal and external sounds seem to be directed to (the device can be chosen) but never into separate ways. Is there anything else that can be done for this separation or does it mean software mods? Thanks

  3. True but I am reinstalling my Sim in August after relocation from Italy to the UK, so until then I won't be bothered to purchase the V4, however just to make things clear, my auto rudder does not get stuck in a position, it works perfectly well . . . my only problem is that whether the auto rudder box is checked or not, it is always active.
  4. Thanks Christopher, this is why when years ago I went from FSX to P3d, I had to purchase a different version of PMDG from the previous one, this is designed for P3D. In any case, the old one was also working fine, I just did it in order to conform to the regs of both PMDG and L.M. So, back to the drawing board, why does my auto-rudder refuse to stay OFF ?
  5. I am curious to know why the auto rudder still engages on my PMDG 737/800, even though I want it off and the box is unchecked. As soon as some wind is present it will re-engage without warning preventing the pilot from controlling the rudder. Remove the wind and save the flight and it will stay off until the next wind appears but the "auto-rudder" box is still unchecked. Is this a Bug of PMDG ? P3D V 2.5.1 problem ? (doubt it) . . . Or is there another way of disarming it for good ? . . . . . Has anybody had the problem before ? Thanks for your support. Maz
  6. I have been using a touchscreen for almost a year as an overhead panel with FSX so that I could emulate the gestures without using the mouse. Sadly since upgrading to P3D all the knobs only turn anti-clockwise (equivalent to mouse left click) but no longer operate clockwise ( equivalent to mouse right click) I really cannot see what the problem is but both PMDG and LM claim it’s got nothing to do with them, kind of blaming each other. The touch gesture software operates through Windows and it’s fine in any other program, including FSX, giving a tremendous sense of reality an immersion. It’s such a shame that nobody has come out with an answer yet ! I posted this many times in the last 14 months.
  7. Well, it turned out to be a very interesting and educational conversation, so thank you all for your inputs. Meanwhile I went back to my books and discovered many details that I seemed to have overlooked, maybe due to the excitement of getting into the cockpit and fly. Now, having covered the basics well, I am reviewing all my courses and squeezing any additional information that slipped out previously. Thank you all Regards
  8. I am not familiar with the implementation of such lights..... are we now talking about the real aircraft or the PMDG? At home, (I am away at the moment hence the laptop on FSX) I have the P3D laters version of the PMDG; am I likely to find those lights tin that cockpit by any chance? Or is this something that has been introduced only on later models of aircraft? Its funny how a simple domestic simulator can give very serious indications about real potential tragic events, thumbs up for PMDG. Having said so there are some functionalities yet not incorporated in the 738NG that might come useful if aiming to a full training such as the LGC (long range cruise option) int the cruise page of the CDU. Yes maybe I will but first I need to reproduce the problem at least a couple of times. Also FS2Crew has been behaving rather strangely recently on this setup (Different from my P3D at home). It seems to jump procedures and in some cases it doe not progress through the stages and needs nudging manually (that's when hi most probably forgets things). have known my FO to configure the plane for takeoff and forget turn the engine switches to continuos as well as the probe heat etc...
  9. Wow .... well spotted ! .... its supposed to be taken care of by the FS2Crew but recently he his forgetting a few things like Engine switches .... Lights and so on ...... Thanks for that.... however it’s strange that the prssur. gage was showing normal readings and Iv'e just noticed that the altitude horn cut off stops the warning ..... so obviously the pressurisation must be obtained by the bleed air though the Air Con..... Cheers
  10. Hello everybody, Being away from home and my P3D for a few months I have to make do with my Macbook Pro in Windows mode running FSX for my ATIS communication training before I enter the Vatsim world. Ever since yesterday tough, flying from EHRD to LOWI I have been getting this warning sound no matter what I do. It seems to be related to either the time lapsed from the beginning of the flight or indeed the altitude (normally above FL 200) All faults have been reseted in the CDU but every time I restart the flight and look in the Aircraft section of the CDU, I find that the brakes fault is active again. Don’t now if this is triggering the warning though. I appreciate your help so please leave a comment if you think you know what this might be. Thanks
  11. Hi Guys, I had voxatc working fine up to the last time I used it back in April running on win7 64 on my MacBookPro Bootcamp installation. Last night, after loading FSX, it did not complete its initialisation so I tried to reinstall the software thinking some file had gone missing. It won't re-install returning the following message: InstallUtilLib.dll:CorBindToRuntimeHost [hr=0x800700c1]:%1 is not a valid Win 32 application The same message appears if I try to uninstall the application. Any advise is welcomed as I'm going to be away from my main simulator at home for months and I need to practice communications before I with Vatsim. Many thanks to all for any input you may have for me.
  12. Actually I acquired the FS2Crew - PMDG 737 NGX Captain Set from FS/Pilotshop on 02/11/2014 So where do i stand with regard to P3D ? Cheers
  13. It works with both the FSX version of the NG as well as with the P3D version as long as the Migration Tool is used to install. My question is, will we have to pay the full price for the P3D install version ? .. Or just a nominal upgrade fee ?
  14. Hi everyone, My new P3D Sim is now up and running with a fresh hardware and saying bye to my old FSX and the beautiful PMDG 737 purchased some time ago. But, before I proceed with the purchase of the newer P3D version of the 737NG I have to solve a potential problem. I use touchscreen overhead panel for more immersion and training realism and it works fine in FSX, but when I tested the new system in P3D with the old 737NG , the "press & hold right click" was not responding so I am not able to invert switches like the retractable landing light or indeed any of the rotating knobs and they can only be moved to the left. (I was surprised to see the Fsx version working in P3D anyway) I have noticed though that all P3D aircrafts have a different approach to the cockpit moving parts; they use the "grabbing hand" mode to pull or push (and possibly also rotate ?). So If there is anyone out there using P3D with the genuine PMDG 800/900 (p3d version) could they be kind enough to confirm that all knobs and switches can be moved into any position with JUST the left click? If so then my overhead panel would be fully functional with just one finger. That would answer my question and I would confidently purchase the PMDG-p3d version with no worries. Many Thanks to you all in advance Kind Regard Mauro Andreini
  15. I've checked all settings in widows and they appear to be identical to the other pc (still running FSX, BTW). For some unknown reason P3D does not allow "pen & touch" settings to work on any of the panels…. in other words one cannot use a touchscreen as it was intended to be used for. I have searched for days just to see if anybody else is suffering the same with no joy. Perhaps the new PMDG for P3D is implementing this?….. I was waiting for the x 64 ….. Maz As I was saying, it works fine in FSX
  16. Hi Marc, I didn't know that you could choose an option for the touchscreen (never used one before) but I didn't change anything from the previous PC, if so, it must have happened spontaneously during Windows installation. I will check online how to enable / disable right click for the touchscreen even though I haven't seen anything so far. Thanks for your input. Maz
  17. Hi Guys, Has any of you used a touchscreen for the overhead panel in P3D? It's just that with FSX I had it working just fine…. I could get the "right click" on knobs and switches by holding my finger on it for a couple of seconds. I finally had time to install my freshly acquired P3D on the new Sabertooth Z97 Mark1 Intel box CPU Intel 1150 i7-4790K Ci7 Box(4,00GHz) Noctua NH15 cooler 16 Gb Memorie corsair vengeance cmy16gx3m2a1866c9 ddr3 16gb(2x8gb) 1866mhz E-VGA - G-Force GTX 980 Touchscreen on HDMI all others on Display / DVI and I am only getting the left click function….. same touchscreen same OS… don't gets it…….sounds like different drivers have been installed … ? ?……….. Or could the overhead panel of P3D have a different script ? Any thought ? ? Cheers guys
  18. So using a fresh 500 Gb SSD for just Win7 and P3d + add ons is not good enough? … Shall I go back to my FSX style with Win 7 on one SSD and P3D on another? I didn't think with SSD it would make such a difference… It would be easier to make images of the drive if all in one ….. Thanks
  19. I must have gone mad ! you're right there, I was obviously confusing with EZ camera……which does as well as VOX Atc… sorry about the confusion and thanks for reminding me…….
  20. Hi guys, sorry to drop in but I have just bilt a new superdupa pc for my transition to P3D an everithing is a fresh install. I followed someone advise and temporarilly used the FSX trick file in order to use PMDG on P3d …NOT ! ! … for the money (i shall purches it anyway) but so that I could have means to compare the two (as we know new stuff rarely works well on release). Well, my PMDG is perfect BUT ! ! FS2crew does not appear in the add ons menu. Have I missed something? Or does it mean that on top of the purchase of a new PMDG (I was waiting for the x64) I also have to purchese another FS2Crew as well ? Thanks Kind Regards to all
  21. Hi there! So sorry for my silence but I had family health problems that kept me away for a while. Haha so that's it ! ? :o ….. Pisa does not have ATIS ! .. Thanks for that I never would have guest it.. I'll have to check about Vox tutor .. I don't even know where to find it at present. tonight I'll give it another try…. I really would like to train on Vox before jumping into IVAO or indeed Virtual Airlines ….
  22. I don't !...... I never said I did...... But other comments I read suggested to turn this option ON in EZCA (read my message carefully) in order to activate Oculus within the system.
  23. Hi Guys, I have read through most threads looking into the fundamentals for using Oculus DK2 with FSX / PMDG 737 with no success. I have set up my Oculus so that it works fine within its owns testing clip (ROTATION OF MONITOR ETC) but when I start FSX nothing more than a normal screen appears on the DK2 display regardless having set track IR on or off inside EZCA. I am not familiar with head tracking as I have been using FSX with one 30" 2k main screen and 4 x 24" monitors for the instruments and never used anything like TrackIR before. I don't know if Fsuipc (of which I have the full version), is used to address any of the controls ether. I need to understand if an additional bridging software like Facetracknoir or indeed drivers like Vorpx are imperative before getting any successful results. I hope someone will kindly take me through the initial steps for FSX (PMDG) to work within DK2 as I have seen many of you enjoying. BTW, I am testing DK2 on my Macbook-pro Bootcamp Win 7 ultimate as I am away from home where my larger rig is and these are my current specs: Intel® Core(™) i7-3740 CPU 2.7 GHz 2.7GHz 16 Gb RAM 64 bit Graphics: Nvidia GeForce GTM650M BIOS: 80.07.26.04.01. modified Drivers: GeForce 331.82WHQL- [r331_00-187] GPU clock: 900 MHz Many Tanks Mauro (Maz)
  24. I shall try without VOXatc but it is all very peculiar because my AviaSoft EFB gives me the same frequencies so they should be right. Do you normally get ATIS immediately after having enabled VOX before the 3 options? 1) Request Taxy for Local 2) Request taxy for circuit 3) Radio Check? For instance I am currently at LIRP (Pisa Italy) departing for EGKK (Gatwick UK) If I set Com 1 to 122.1 or 119.1 for WX, I get: TUNE TO 121.600 No Atis When I tune as requested I get the old three options…. NO ATI AT ALL!
