  1. Please, just stop. I've seen on a number of occasions (including personally) in which the Captain will allow a passenger to sit in his seat for a picture pre-flight and post-flight. So, you are incorrect. The chances are not "practically zero." They are very good, at least based on my personal experiences. Know when to ask, and be polite about it.
  2. Hi Kevin, This information is very helpful. I will review the .ini when I am next at the computer. Thanks very much!
  3. Generally, I fly one UAL livery of the PMDG 737-800 (N76517), and I'm trying to figure out whether or not my service-based failures are working. In short, I've put hundreds of hours into real-time simming with this aircraft, and I've yet to experience a service-based failure. The feature is enabled, I've made sure of that from the get-go. In addition, every time I start a flight, oil quantity is at 100%. I'm thinking something's not quite right. Does starting with the 'Long' panel state interfere with service-based failures, because I usually do start with it. Thanks in advance for any feedback/help/insight.
  4. FSX is almost ten years old (next year in October). I can't say I'm terribly surprised that development for FSX products are slowing down. They should continue to. Prepar3d is a vast improvement over FSX, in my opinion (I don't own it, but I will when I build my next computer). While FSX has served many of us well, I think that personally, it's time to put it to bed. It's old, inefficient, buggy code. The team is working on it right now. They posted some screenshots recently, it's looking very nice. I come along and check for updates maybe once per month. Some other projects that are coming out for FSX/P3D are the FSLabs A320, Aerosoft A330, and QualityWings 787 - so development is not totally dead (yet)!
  5. Hi - Would recommend taking your inquiry to the Aerosoft forums. These forums here are related to PMDG - who have no affiliation with the Airbus X product.
  6. As a not so "loud" voice in this community who happens to disagree with the pricing model here, I'll just say "no thanks." Capitalism. I'm sure she's nice to fly in P3D, though. Most developers call this remaining relevant. Hell, it would even broaden your customer base. You'd actually consider charging for that? Seriously questioning your integrity on that statement.
  7. This weekend I did a United 777-200LR from Los Angeles (KLAX) to London (EGLL), and then the return trip back. You may want to peak around on FlightAware to get some inspiration!

I'm happy with the 772, I don't really see what the 300 expansion pack will offer me in terms of improving the simulation that makes it worth paying extra money for. So I don't quite think I'll get it. For now. Just awaiting SP1 at this point (and the 747-400v2, though that's far off).
  9. I repeat: Your attitude is quite frankly miserable. No further questions, your highness. To OP: I think once you get the 77L you'll be hooked! Enjoy it! I'm quite looking forward to getting the ER, and based on my experience with the LR, I'm quite sure it will be enjoyable.
  10. You mean, like you? Your attitude is quite frankly miserable. You may spend too much time here. I don't see why prospective and/or paying customers require a demeaning lesson from you et al on a great bulk of threads. Cool down, folks. It isn't that serious.
  11. Wow you people are really friendly. OP, I think it's related to FSX weather. I wish I could be more of a help, but this has happened to me. I think it happens mostly in Asia (in FSX) if you're flying west-to-east.
  12. Cold & dark panel state produces mystery Caution light Often times the external views are skeleton-ized (if that's a word) Can't see flashing strobes on ground like with the 737 NGX Often get "insufficient fuel" and "fuel imbalance" alerts on a second leg, even when everything is in check Those are just a few of the issues I've seen. Most have been reported already by the community.
  13. I had a similar issue last night on a flight from VHHH-LFPG. Came home after work to find a zig-zag path (like your picture) and was flying southbound just west of Australia! I'm using the default FSX weather. Nothing else.
  14. Sitting at LAX. Arrived 2 days ago from Boeing Field and will be making an inaugural flight from LAX to SYD this weekend.
  15. I think the point is just to not be a snob about it. Can you manage that?
