The good thing about being a simmer is at least you know that if pilots of an airplane are incapacitated the plane is not going to suddenly fall down from the sky ( which is what most of the people who have no idea of aviation think ). So if you go to the cockpit, you see the A/P armed , you know the plane is on course and you let the plane do its thing while you go through the charts/EFB to familiarize yourself with the approach and to stand a better chance of success at landing..

PMDG 777 already has an option of 100 increments and 1000 increments on the knob.

Well if I am just a random guy trying to save a plane, it doesn't really have to be a perfect landing. Maybe a little off the runway, damaging the engines or the wings, but in the end if it saves 200+ people it's worth it. I am off to a Level-D simulator next week, that will be one step above the PC simulator. lets see how that goes.

What I understood is that you had FSX installed in program files X86 and just moved it outside of it to C drive. Many airplanes and sceneries don't properly work if you have FSX Installed in program files because of security settings in Windows 7/8

This is a question to Flight simmers who are not REAL world pilots. Based on your experience on simulators and hours of flying on your PC, do you think you have got enough knowledge to save an actual plane in distress and save the day if need arises ? (with a couple of failure alerts on EICAS :ph34r:) I for myself, NO ! because I never practiced failures on any aircraft in my Sim.

a REAL LIFE PILOT has all the education and training to fly a plane. He doesn't need a simulator to know how to fly a plane and/or do dodgy stuff with it while in the air. PMDG or any simulator manufacturer like FSX or P3d are no way responsible. Plus so far we have speculations on MH370, the latest one is it was accidently shot down by Thai and US jet fighters while doing military exercises. :ph34r:

Roman, There isn't much different between 200ER and 200LR except the fuel capacity/range. I don't see any point wasting time on a product that is only 1% different than what we already have.(flying experience wise). But again PMDG's call. I would rather like them to work on 400v2.

Thanks for the update Captain. I fully appreciate the fact that PMDG are adding value to a product - without charge (like SP1 Weather radar + the tweaked turbulence effect ) To me, this is PMDG at its best. Commercially PMDG had to do one job in SP1 , to fix / tweak whatever was reported by its customers and that's it. BUT not only PMDG is fixing /tweaking an already released product, they are giving it's customers more than what was required. and for that a big THANK YOU to PMDG ! You keep up the good work. PS: Can't wait for 300ER and 747 as well.

No . As PMDG said in P3d Thread there are licensing issues that need to be iron out with Lockheed. There are plans of PMDG 777 for P3D but not this early. Hence this one will be for FSX only.
