at least for me I don't know how I bump into this but PMDG Knowledge base center makes it very clear that if you have FSUIPC and SIMCONNECT both installed in your PC, ASN will have difficulty with weather radar as it cannot send data through two channels. So I completed deleted FSUIPC from my modules. (All files) and it works finally PMDG knowledge base : http://support.precisionmanuals.com/kb/a109/weather-radar-troubleshooting

Make surw your fsx and aan are working in administrator mode. Otherwise you may need a clean install of 777.

Not really. You can export PMDG route file (.rte) from any source you want. (Simbrief for example) and your data uplink should work. Not sure about how accurate your weather will be if you are not using any weather engine. On another forum I read OPUS FSX works just fine with SP1 and weather radar so does the default FSX weather

Eric, ASN should be injecting LIVE WEATHER anyway regardless of data uplink or not. I thought this was the whole purpose of LIVE WEATHER MODE in ASN Even before Sp1 , if you have ASN running it should be injecting live weather in FSX regardless of what plane you are flying. So I am pretty sure if you are having this problem this must be your ASN.

And obviously I exagerrated. It wasnt 300 but it was far above the normal.landing speed like 160-170 knts

Never had this freezing issue. Not either of them, before or after installing Sp1 /300 ER So All good for me. But from sounds of it looks more like FSX + Hardware combination issue.

If you are getting higher speed at landing all you need to do it Override the system and REDUCE THE SPEED FROM THE SPEED KNOB. (that is what they do in real life as well) I was approaching at 300 knts despite having my brakes armed , and couldn't figure out what to do until the last moment when I realized the speed knob is set at 300 as well.

Sorry . Change the setting in your FMC to "CREATE WX FILE" and not "Create WX file and load to FSX" I think on the later option, FMC Assumes that you are using default FSX weather (which is static unless you have checked live weather mode in FSX as well) and loads in WX from FSX which remains the same throughout. If you use "CREATE WX FILE' only it will take the weather from the active weather enginer which would be ASN. Check if this solve your problem

As someone mentioned earlier dont export the wx file and delete any previously exportes wx files in the folder. Let the fmc create a file itself ( which the fmc option says) and that will solve it

SOLVED: Introduction manual page 163-165 - In short STEP 1 : on ASN this option must be checked - STEP 2 : In Your 777 FMC Go to PMDG Setup > Simulations >Option Browse to NXT PAGE .. I believe on Page 7 there is an option FSX PLN FILE FOR WXR : Which should be set to > CREATE FILE AND LOAD TO FSX Cheers

I am having the exact same problem. From the data uplink, Route, Performance and Wind data is loaded without a hitch in the FMC. It's the descent forecast which won't upload and I get the error message on FMC "Invalid Forecast Uplink" btw using PFPX for my flight plans and ASN Live Weather mode (on the same machine) No Complex stuff in ASN. Default settings.

Hi Guys, I am exporting my PMDG plans from PFPX as well. One of the problems I am facing is whenever I get the Descent forecast uplink and try to load it , FMC says "Invalid data uplink". The problem recently emerged after I have to reinstall FSX and 777. Note, ROUTE, PERFORMANCE, and WIND data upload without a hitch, it's just the Descent forecast. Any possible guess why is it happening ?

My problem is even if I open ALL THE DOORS ON THE 300ER (incl. Cargo doors) , GSX still says ..Waiting for you to open exit 2

Because you have step climbs turned on in your PMDG. Regardless of what Cruise altitude you give in your PERFORMANCE settings in FMC, aircraft will follow the altitude levels in the LEGS page. To disable this go to your PMDG Setup in FMC and turn off AUTO STEP CLIMBS.

Wow. Congratulations to whole PMDG team for such an awesome update and an super awesome addon. 300ER up and running (ZERO issues) - couple of minor issues. GSX doesn't really seems to fit the 300ER structure. For example look at this catering truck :o I am sure 300ER is made to scale, so probably GSX update needed ? does anyone has the same issue ? - Last one .. are those black lines at the wings is an actual part of 300ER design or is it just a graphic glitch in my FSX ? I have looked at from every angle, they remain there - EDIT : got my answers. Mods please delete this topic. Thanks

If you installed it on Windows 7/8, did you run the PMDG 300ER installer as "Run as Administrator".? Because that will make a lot of difference.

You will receive email with your download link. Make sure you are signed in to your PMDG account before opening that link. Open a new tab sign in to your PMDG account. Now open another tab and copy paste your download link Hopefully it will work

Yeah even the quantity of fuel can tell you that it has just landed
